I think I understand what you are talking about. I'm an Air Force JROTC cadet and we just call them Drill Downs in my Unit. It's where everyone forms up and drills like they usually would but it is usuall at the stand still and if you make a mistake your out. It's kind of like Simon Says just Militarized. That is what you were saying, correct?

Yeah, I'm in MCJROTC and we call it knock out drill. But if you lose, you have to do push-ups until the end of the game.

-EmO_-_cOOkIE-_-qUEEn- oh we call that knock out i luv playing that =D they confuzzed me a few times though That's what we call it. I'm such an a** about it, though, so no one lets me call the commands. I called ten about faces and a present arms. Everyone did the ten about faces (though a lot lost count) and tehn the salute, but those people were out anyway. wink I'm surprised anyone let me become Unarmed Basic Drill commander.

kingace101 When I was at a AF drill down we got to the finals and they started saying like order " PIZZA " and crap to get us to ******** up. it sucked! yeah but eventually you have to resort to stuff like that. or stuff that is just easily forgotten. at an army drill down me and my friend tied for first because we were at ease then we were given parade rest and forgot that you can't do that... sweatdrop

Drill downs: I always called them, because I could make even the most experienced Cadets mess up and fail. Not to mention I could, and still can, make ANY cadet laugh

Ya in my AFJROTC unit we just call them Drill Downs. I've done I think 4 or 5 of them. 3 of them at school in the 7th hour(and afterschool extra hour class) Drill Team course. We do them ever once in a while I guess. Then I've done 2 at Drill Meets. I've been to two Drill Meets, done the Drill Down each time. I didn't really come close to winning at the Drill Meets, but yes at school. There's like 30-40 cadets in the 7th hour at school, but there's over 20-35 schools at the Drill Meets, and each Drill Down at the Drill Meets are separated into 2 Drill Downs, one for the 1st & 2nd years then the 3rd & 4th years.
