Kanji sat on the bank, the shallow waves splashing at his back as he address his fellow water creatures.
"I have an idea" He spoke nervously, as if hoping beyond all doubt that someone would find his idea appealing.
He continued before allowing anyone to make a smart remark about him having an idea. "It is.....a game. A game in search for the Glitter rocks at the bottom of the Ocean." He breathed in slowly, it was deliberate, he observed the faces of the other creatures. "I purpose that we all swim into the Ocean and bring back a Glitter rock. The prettiest, and most elegant is the winner. We can ask one of the Guardians to be the judge."
He looked the the floor as if trying to recall something important. "OH!" He shouted, "there are a few rules, the first is that you may collect as many rocks as you wish and then pick the one you like the best, and secondly you are allowed to work in teams."
Kanji breathed in steadily. He hoped that this game would encourage people to like him, he wanted to make some 'true' friends. Plus he wanted to see if he would be able to win the competition.
"Are there any questions before we begin?" He sat patiently, watching and waiting. Perhaps no one would talk to him, but you never know. He took a step backwards so that his feet where now covered by the cool sensation of the water. He felt instantly freed from his anxiety, as he usually did when so close to the sea.

Kia gracefully walked over towards the water, she was still nervous around it but she felt more settled around it these days. She took in a deep breath before saying; "I will be the judge, since I can not swim like you guys."
She walked over to the rock at the edge of the bank and sat their looking out at the water but at a safe distance away from it.
"I will sit and wait here for you to present me with your stones, then I will pick the best one based on its colour, shape, and shininess."

Kanji nodded softly, he was happy that he wasn't ignored.
"Shall we begin then?" He said as he edged even closer to the waters edge, his legs now coated in water, gently splashing against his skin.
He waited for a response a brief moment; before turning around and diving in to the water. He eyes where keen as he scrolled over the surface like a delicate scroll, he wanted to make sure not to miss out on the nicest glitter rock. He swam and swam and eventually he came across as beautiful one, he stop gracefully and picked it up, but upon doing so he noticed a defacement on one side, a crack of dull stone, he gently placed it on the ground and continued swimming.
After what seemed like an eternity he came across another glitter rock that made him feel a strange sensation of happiness, its colourings where unusual. It was tinted slightly green, he leaned down and picked it up taking it back up to the surface so he could take a breath. It was beautiful, truly beautiful, the outside was a dark black, but in the crack a shimmering green coloured rock shimmered and shined in the light, it was one of the brightest glitter rocks he had ever come across.
He looked around, his feet splashing in the water, he had ventured quite a distance. The waters banks seemed an eternity away. He braced himself, turning around before starting to swim again, he held the glitter rock in one hand, being careful not to let it go. Suddenly, out of no where something hit him in the stomach, it winded him as he sank into the water, his heart pounding, he panicked, the stone slipped through his clawed fingers. He watched it fall through the water, gain speed as gravity took hold of it.
He had no choice, he had to swim to the surface. He had to get his breath, he could search for the rock later.
Slowly,
Slowly,
He rose. Before finally he breached the surface, his face a glow with the blood rushing through his body. He looked down through the water, he had lost the stone.
Then for a moment he thought, what had hit him? What had caused him to fall in the first place? He looked around hoping to find the reason for his abrupt decent. But there seemed to be nothing there, he wonder what it could have been.... ....moments passed into minutes, minutes passed into hours... ...as he contemplated a variety of different things. He looked to the sky, it was changing in colours. From a powerful blue to a mixture of oranges and purples, it was beautiful, almost as beautiful as looking at his glitter stone. Looking down one last time he took a deep breath and then decided to leave, he could come back later but now he needed to rest. He legs ached and his stomach felt slightly bruised from whatever had hit him.
