Hello everyone. Today I would like to talk to you about a group project from 2005 known as Roadrunner United. This was a major project celebrating Roadrunner's 25th Anniversary.
57 artists from 45 bands (past and present) under the Roadrunner label got together under four team captains and made this one CD entirely from scratch while working with various members of other bands. Of course, as these bands are from varying types of metal, the songs also reflect that, with songs going anywhere from Thrash to Death to Metalcore, based on what the members came up with.
The four team captains are: Robert Flynn, Matt Heafy, Dino Cazares, and Joey Jordison.
Robert Flynn is best known as a member of the Thrash band Machine Head, and a former member of the band Vio-lence.
Matt Heafy is known for the Thrash band Trivium, and is a fromer member of Capharnaum and Mindscar.
Dino Cazares is currently in Asesino, but is a former member of Brujeria, Divine Heresy and Fear Factory.
And Joey Jordison is the drummer for Slipknot, and has also been in Murderdolls and Ministry.
The album was known as The All-Star Sessions, and I seriously suggest giving it a try if you haven't heard of it. Pm me for a complete list of members, as I don't feel like listing them all here.
There was also a single for the song The End from this cd, and that was coincidentally, the first song I heard from it.

In any case, there is a great deal of talent packed in this one CD, so if you get the chance, go out and get this. OR download it, but it is definately worth listening to.

Nah, it was just in 2005. Why not? I thought it was pretty cool that they were able to do that.
