After 2 years of waiting and anticipation, Dodge has finally revealed the new Challenger. With a 425 horse 6.1 liter V8, the car does 0 to 60 in the low 5 second range. Personally, I like the silver and black renderings biggrin

Looks great. My only gripe is it resembles the new Camaro from the side.

... 400+ horsepower and it's only in the fives to sixty? What gears does that thing have?! My Mach1 does it in 4.8 with only around 320.

Your Mach1 probably doesn't weigh in at 4100+ pounds razz

see thats the only problem with Dodge. You want a bigger engine, you got it. you want more power, you got it. You want a car full of luxeries, you got. but if you want a light car well thats gonna be a problem. I understand that it's a car based off of a heavy muscle car but just look at all the other cars they have. My parents have a Dodge Durango wich is a nice car but the suspension is jelly it swings corners wide and is a really heavy car for an SUV. It's like driving a tank. Sure it has a powerful HEMI engine but that's all that i really like about the car. As for the design of the Callenger it looks nice and i think it would be perfect for all those Middle aged men out there that are reminicing about the good old days and the power you get from it also helps with the illusion.

Hate to say it, since I've already decided that I dislike the new "retro" styling on modern muscle cars...

But that thing is SWEEEEET.

PS
The Dodge Durango is NOT a car. It's a truck. That's why it handles like one.

Good point. I weigh in at about 35XX lbs. according to the trucker scale I put my car on. (Tipped the guy twenty bucks to let me do it.) I dropped alot of weight though by basically getting rid of everything I don't use. I.E. backseats, spare tire, aftermarket rims that are lighter, etc...

I understand that it's a truck but for a truck it's not that great. I've been in a F-150 that was a much better ride though. My point though is that Dodge is infamous for creating heavy cars I shouldn't have used the Durango as an example because of the fact that it's an SUV. I only used it because it's the only Dodge sitting in my drive way. The Durango however is full of usless luxeries that do nothing other than add weight which is the same for all other Dodge vehicles. I hope that you get my point. Don't get me wrong Dodge is a nice company however I just don't like it's engineers. Sometimes i just think that they don't know what the he** they are doing.

That's why Daimler-Benz paid a whole bunch of money to get rid of them.

Now that you mention it, the new version looks a little laid back and less muscular. I think that the chrome rims and painted calipers prove my case. I wish that they would have sticked to the original body design. Everything below the window looks too different besides the curve above the back wheel. and the wheel base really makes me made it looked fine on the 1970 Challenger but on the new one it looks odd, but it could just be me.

lol. i can't help it, pretty's just my word... it sounds better when you say it w/ my southern accent and it comes out like purdy. whee

I still think that "purdy" isn't masculine enough of a word but then again like i said in the above post, because they slapped so much chrome on it feel free to call it anything that you want.
