Well I finally got out and bought volume 1 of Gargoyles. I actually wouldn't have gotten it, if I was able to find issue 5 somewhere.
Anyhow, I'd like to say I'm relieved that that the series has released a volume. I'd like to think that that's a sure sign that the Gargoyles comic is here to stay, but plently of comic series I've enjoyed before, that have lasted a long while, have been cancelled before their time. I just can't shake the fear that that will happen with Gargoyles...
PS: Is it just me, or does the animation style seem to change for each issue?

I noticed that as well. Mine is still on order, but I know what happens, and I have seen screen shots, but they do seem different. Some seem more detailed than others.

The reason the art's different is because they've been using different artists.
One of the more recent ones (I think it was either 4 or 5) was done by a well-known fan artist (well-known in the DeviantArt community, anyway sweatdrop ).
