Like the title says, here's my rough draft of the Dragons Vs. Gryphons RP, and I need feedback.

Post 1: Story Line Dragons and Gryphons. Eon's past, these two great races of Eniale lived in harmony. Together, they created grand cities and dwelt in what seemed to be everlasting peace. According to the great histories, the cause of the Great War remains unknown. Although its cause is the greatest of mysteries, its effects are not. The once lush forests have become hostile wastelands, overcome by monsterous plant life and deadly beasts. The abundant fields now are little more than deserts. The sweet lucid waters now house great monsters and poisons, and the cities have fared no better. The once gentle atmosphere is storm ravanged, and deadly, causing the few survivors of the war to retreat into the dark caves safely perched on the mountaintops, above the dark clouds. There, the neccessities have become luxuries and wars are fought over mere scraps of rock. All joy is abandoned, but some find hope still in tales of future peace, and order restored.

Post 2: Basic Summary Gryphons and Dragons are at war and their world has become a wasteland. Those still alive have retreated to caves above the cloud layer. There are legends of peace to come. You may either remain loyal to the war, or join with others to strive for peace.

Post 3: Setting Upper Region: Divided into two domains: that of the Gryphons and that of the Dragons. Consists of high ground including mountain peaks and caves there. Exists above the cloud layer. Lower Region: Wasteland. Only useless and harmful vegetation grows and all is deadly. Monsters thrive here. Foresaken ground. Once had lush forests and plains and life. Now it is hostile.

Of course, I'll have a rules post, but anyway. There are a few things I've been wondering about with this.
Should humans be a part of this? If so, should they be enemies of both (monsters) or should some be loyal to each side.
I need ideas for monsters inhabiting the lower regions and I'll take any suggestions, opinions, ideas, criticism, or anything. Grammatical and Spelling Suggestions are also appreciated. Please Help.

You were asking how you should include humans? I think I have several sudgestions.
They should be able to live with eather the the Gryphons ro the Dragons (what ever one they're loyal too). They should also be able to live in the wastelands, both fighting the monsters and trying to control them. Those in the wastelands would be nutral to both sides of the war (the ones striving towards that far away dream of peace).
Sounds good?

hmm...i agree with the human idea. only a scattered few would live on the Lower Region, completely nutral to the war. I would appreciate the monster list with descriptions! Thx!

ACHAIERAI "A large creature stands on four stiltlike legs. It has a birdlike body, round and plump, about the size of a small pony, balanced atop it's legs. Feathers that range in colour from brown to red cover it's body, and it's terrible claws and beak glint like burnished metal."
[pic coming] ALLIP "The creature that floats before you is like a thing out of a nightmare. It has a vaguely humanoid shape, but it's a shape without features that has been distorted and bristles with madness. Form the waist down, it trails away into vaporous nothingness, leaving a faint trail of fog behind as it moves." ANKHEG " A huge segmented insect with slender legs, each ending in a sharp claw, emerges from the ground in a burst of rock and dirt. A tough chitinous brown shell covers it's entire body, and glistening black eyes stare out from above powerful mandibles." The ankheg is a burrowing insect with a taste for fresh meat. It has six legs, and some are yellow Rather then brown, and it is about 10 feet long and weighs about 800 pounds. ARANEA "An aranea is a intelligent, shapechanging spider with sorcerous powers. In it's natural form it resembles a big spider with a humpbacked body a little bigger then a human torso. It has fanged mandibles like a normal spider. Two small arms. each about 2 feet long lie below the mandibles. Each arm has a hand with four many-jointed fingers and double-jointed thumbs.
An aranea weighs about 150 pounds. The hump on it's back houses it's brain. Araneas can speak." Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual Core Rulebook III v.3.5
