[ I ] t was finally when Alanis Jensen had come to realize that she spent most of her time keeping her button nose into the freshly printed pages of her desired novel when it her time was shortened, and it was already the after noon. She swiftly purchased the book, something that would keep her mind off of the fact that she was a loner who doesn’t have that many friends to sit with on the train ride back to school, and exited out of Flourish and Blott’s, to go finish her shopping. After reaching the very end of her list, she had, surprisingly, time to just wander around, again.
Her pale blue eyes scanned around all the useless junk that was stacked up all the way to the ceiling, random, worthless items spilling out into the aisles. Alanis was attracted to the out of the blue items, though the clutter gave her a feeling of being trapped and insolated, making her feel stiff and claustrophobic. She let a long, soft sigh escape her slightly parted lips, one hand gripping many bags from a variety of shops, including Flourish and Blott’s, Inks ‘n’ Things, and Madam Malkin's Robes for all occasions, and the other having a crumbled up piece of parchment held in her palm. She had a white stick from a strawberry sucker sticking out from the side of her mouth; she had momentarily stopped by the local sweets shop. It had tempted her to purchase chocolate, but consequences outweighed the benefits, so she settled on her favorite flavored sucker. The blonde haired 3rd year wasn’t looking for anything in particular; she just wanted a place with unusual things. And a junk shop would most likely supply her with her needs for the abnormal.
Seeing something metallic and shiny, which usually meant something along the lines of sci-fi. Oh yes, all the Twilight Zone episodes at least had something metallic and shiny it it’s film, since usually alien space ships or anything from it had those qualities. Alanis immediately lad astray toward whatever it may be, her blonde eyebrows raised in curiosity, as she let the sucker in her mouth move around a bit, the juices becoming hard to control, seeming as her inquisitiveness had caused the thirst.
Alanis set her bags now, and carefully crouched down to get a better look at whatever had given her this feeling of sudden interest. After her pale blue eyes spied exactly what it was, she grinned, teeth clenching down unto the white stick of the sucker, as her hands greedily came across the item.
“No WAY…” she exclaimed, rather loud for such a shy, quiet girl, as she pulled whatever it was from under a pile of old muggle records, “I can’t believe it!” Alanis turned the shiny, silvery book over, reading the captions and information that explained what the contents of the book was bout. It seemed that whatever she had picked up was a deluxe edition of one of her favorite episodes from the Twilight Zone, only it was in a book. And in a rather fantastic condition for such an old copy, and in such a shop like this. Especially when it was a muggle item. But one never quite knew what you could find in an old wizarding shop titled “All You Can Imagine”.
