Mac looked at her watch for the thirtieth time and sighed with frustration. Melanie and Hollywood were late. To be excat they were twenty minutes late. Now, on a normal basis, Mac is usually the one that is late. But not today. Today, Mac had set up three alarms in her room so if she didn't hear one she'd hear the other two. Of course when Mac heard the first one she immediatly got up and forgot to turn the other two off. So when the next five minutes passed during the morning, the other alarm went off. And then five minutes after the second alarm, the last alarm went off.
And since for once Mac was on time, she was upset that her friends were late. She had done so much this morning to get there on time. Though there were tons of robes in all color and styles that Mac would normally want to try on, she didn't. She was too frustrated to be her normal self. In fact, it wasn't even her idea for the three friends to meeet up here. It was Melanie's. Mac wanting to sleep in, told them earlier that she'd meet Melanie and Hollywood in a store of their choice. And Melanie chose Twilfit & Tattings. She needed a set of dress robes. It was her and Mac's fourth year so they both needed them. They were on their school list for the first time this year.
Mac walked around the store, trying to distract herself from her frustration. She walked through the rows and rows of high quality dress robes. Some had patterns stiched in them, some had special was to tie them, some came in shiny material, the possibilities for a fourth year's first set of dress robes were endless. Mac couldn't make a decision. Soon she was torn between two between two equally dress robes. One was in the excat shade of the sky on a sunny day; the other was a midnight blue. The sky blue looked as though it came from a modern day fairy tale, like a princess from right now would wear it. Having a cinderella look meets fashion models today was what it looked like. The midnightblue one was more simple, thin straps, went to the floor, and had a ribbon that tied in the back. Liking the sky blue one more, she went to go try it on, but she brought the other one with her just in case.
She tried it on, it fit like a glove. Mac smiled. She went out of the dressing room to get a look at it in the big mirror. The one in the dressing room just wasn't cutting it, it was too small. So she couldn't see the full affect. She stood in front of the big mirror and smiled shyly. "I really do like this one...I feel like I'm cinderella or something!"She spun and laughed feeling a bit silly. What if somebody were to walk in? But right now she didn't care, she looked and felt beautiful. So what if Melanie and Hollywood were late?

((OOC: Skye, if you end up reading this, I hope you don't mind, but I moved this post here and deleted my other one.)) Masika was dragged along by her friend. He was determined to buy new robes. For his seventh year.
"You don't need those." she pointed out. "Yours fit just fine and it's your seventh year. If you're going to waste your money at least waste it on something worthwhile, like...buying me a Ferrari." she said. She looked around and found no trace of Zaidin until she spotted his spiky hair sticking out over the racks of school robes.
What a moron. Masika thought to herself as she browsed the racks. A nice set of robes caught her eye as she moved. She had caught wind of them starting up dances this year and she so terribly wanted something to wear. Something that was nice and flowed fluidly as she walked, and this robe was absolutely perfect.
It was a midnight blue with silver fastenings, decals and bordering around the sleeve, neck and bottom hems. The sleeves tapered to a V that would lie on the back of her hand, heald in place by a small fabric ring laced delicately around her middle finger if she so desired.
"Zapphhhyyyy..." she whined as she pulled the robe and hanger off the rack. "Waste your money on this for meeee..." She held it up and it sparkled and shimmered in the somewhat dim lighting of the store. "It's only 24 Galleons!"* Zaidin sighed as his soft-spoken friend whined a couple of aisles over. It sounded more like incessant mumbling from a dying Mumblefrile Frog than a human beings whining. He skipped over a few more aisles and found nothing satisfactory, but he was still determined to buy something at this store.
As long as it was for himself. Unless whatever Masika wanted was really pretty.
He sighed when she grew closer and whined more, resting her head on his shoulder and peering up at him with the puppy dog eyes she stole from him.
"Go try it on." he said and sighed, giving in. He heard Masika's interpretation of 'yay' and laughed. She was so funny, because she was so soft in everything she did that when she slipped up and acted normal it was almost comical.
He waited outside the dressing rooms for Masika to try on the outfit she had chosen which looked incredibly gaudy just sitting on the hanger...but Masika had this ability to make even the gaudiest, tackiest clothes look absolutely breathtaking.
She sure took his breath away.* 24 galleons is equal to 115.72 USD$. Calculated with this handy website.

When Hollywood and Melanie realized that they were late meeting up with meeting with their other very good friend Mac he started to sweat. Would Mac be upset? Would she yell at them with no end? Or would she just see them and stand there with a disspointed look on her face? Yes, it was common for Mac to be late with meeting with Melanie, Hollywood, or both friends, but they were never late to see her, Mac. Melanie was looking at him with a look of absolute worry. He could tell autimatically that she was thinking the same things he was. He quickly grabbed her hand and ran out the door, dragging Melanie along.
To others, it might have seemed that they were a couple the way they were holding each other's hands so securly and the way that they were laughing with each other, but they were indeed not a couple. As soon as they had started running Melanie had started laughing. To her it seemed odd that they were runnning like this and together. When they had first started at such a fast pace, Melanie was being dragged along. But soon she got used to the fast pace and was able to manage on her own, but still held Hollywood's hand so she wouldn't be lost in the huge crowds of people. The crowds of people saw right away that the pair was in a hurry, so they quickly moved out of the way before they were ran over.
Hollywood had no problem of course, since he was the one that set the pace. He wasn't the least bit cold, the air that hit him while he was running was actually refreshing. Melanie on the other hand was freezing. It was all ready cold out and she was wearing a miniskirt. So while she ran at such a quick pace the wind went up her miniskirt, making her cold. But she couldn't concentrate on the cold too much. Her best friend was waiting on her and most likely mad.
Once they got to the door they saw Mac thorugh the window. 'Wow, she looks so beautiful and happy...' Melanie smiled while she looked at her blonde friend. She was triwling in her princess like dress and laughing. She looked as though she was in her own little world. Hollywood smiled a small smile. He looked at Mac and her funny triwling and laughed a bit. He was glad that she looked happy but he couldn't stop thining, 'Will she look upset once she sees us?] Hollywood hoped what he was thinking wasn't true. Taking a depp breath Hollywood took Melanie's hand and they walked into the shop slowly and together.

Masika finally emerged from the dressing room in the dress robes Zaidin found 'tacky.' It fit nice, the midnight blue did nothing for her skin tone though. She sighed as she stepped out and examined herself from farther away in the mirror that was in the dressing room.
"It's ugly, isn't it?" she asked, bending every which way to get a good look. The velvety fabric sparkled with glitter and sequins in the light.
"Absolutely not." Zaidin assured her as he watched her slip into her vulnerable zone. Trying on clothes made Masika more self conscious than an American cheerleader, and he knew it. The dress fit her every curve and he could've just pushed her back into that fitting room and done her right then and there.
...But there were other people in the store and that was inappropriate public conduct.
"Pfft. You're lying." she accused and turned around again. "You really think it looks good?" she asked, running her hands over her already flattened stomach.
"Yes. I do."

Aidan walked down Diagon Alley alone, watching passers-by and looking into windows. He'd ditched his mother back at the stationery shop, she was waiting for his personalized stationery to be finished and brought out to her, and then they'd meet at Fortescue's.
'Ahh,' he thought as he spotted an old friend through the window of the robe shop. He stepped inside, hands in his pockets, the bell on the door dinging over his head. "Hello, darling," he said, giving Melanie a hug, and sneaking in a quick kiss on the cheek. He stepped back and looked at Hollywood and Mac, a look of distaste passing over his beautiful face. "Randle, Mackenzie," he greeted them coldly, then returned his gaze to Melanie.
"How was your summer?" he asked sweetly, admiring her beautiful face and ice blue eyes. 'Gawd she's grown this summer!' he thought. 'She's certainly a woman now.' He smiled at her, his most sincere smile, his green eyes attempted to charm her with their adoring gaze. He ran a hand through his hair, and fidgeted slightly in an attempt to feign nervousness around a girl of such beauty. Of course, he wasn't really nervous at all, but over the years he's become an excellent liar. [ sorry, i know 'gawd' looks really awkward in writing, but it sounds the same, and i won't write God's name in vein. ]

The group of three friends had heard the bell on the door ringing but they didn't turn. Melanie and Hollywood all of a sudden dropped their hands, they were holding each other's previously. Melanie heard the familar voice and smiled to herself. Mac and Hollywood rolled their eyes as they saw the Slytherin Melanie had a crush on walk in.
Melanie smiled while she was embraced in a warm hug and blushed and giggled when he had kissed her on the cheek breifly. She heard Hollywood give a hard huff. Mac sighed and pulled Hollywood away from Aidan and Melanie right after he had greeted them coldly. Though Hollywood protested, Mac pulled him along anyway, to the far end of the shop. So they could be both be far away from Aidan. Melanie was still smiling as she answered, "My summer was good. Not too much fun. But I did get a lot of quidditch practice in! The other teams will have to watch out for the pair of us this year!" Melanie gave a small laugh, her eyes bright, as she slightly waggled her eyebrows in suggestion. She noticed his slight fidgeting.
But she noticed his smile even more. It was warm and sincere. Melanie could have melted in a puddle right then and there. She was charmed by him, that was for sure. She asked with interest, "How was your summer dear?"

He smiled again. Charming her would be easy. They hadn't even gotten to school yet and already she seemed to be falling hard for him. "It was wonderful. My family and I traveled to Spain for a few weeks. Lots of pretty girls there," he smiled mischeviously. "But nothing compares with..." he absentmindedly tucked a loose strand of hair gently behind her ear. "...home. It's great to be back. Also great to be around people and understand what they're saying!"
Of course, when he said 'home,' he mostly meant the girls back home. You could hear it in his voice. 'When did I get so good at this game?' he asked himself, but his smile on the outside seemed sincere.
"Your friends seem really annoyed by me. They don't like me?" He knew perfectly well why. If he weren't himself, he probably wouldn't like him either.

Melanie's eyes gave a surprised expression. 'Spain! To him I must seem quite boring. Oh how I'd love to travel to Spain.' She noticed that she had mentioned the girls in Spain were pretty. She felt a bit of a pang of jealously sweep over her. She hid it though, on the outside she seemed perfectly calm and happy. As if this what she'd really want to be hearing. She noticed how he said home in a way that hinted that the girls at her home were better somehow. 'Does that include me?' Melanie deseperately thought. She wanted to ask, but she didn't want to seem desperate to her fellow Slytherin so she kept her mouth shut, but with a pleasant smile set upon it.
She laughed and the understanding what people were saying comment. "Ah yes, that's always an added and pleasurable bonus." Melanie frowned when she heard the question being asked. She hadn't even noticed that they had left her side. She looked with eyes right and left and she didn't see them. When did they leave her? She herself didn't know, since she was too fixed on concentrating on Aidan. She then gave an apologetic smile before she turned around to look for her two best friends. She saw them on the far end of the store, looking as though they were talking to each other in hushed voices. Melanie sighed and turned around.
She apologized with her peircing blue eyes but replied, "I'm sorry about that Aidan. I actually don't know why they left..." She smiled as she thought, 'I do actually. It's not as though they haven't repeatedly told me that they don't like Aidan. But I do. So that should be th eonly thing that matters.' she turned her attention back to Aidan fully, loving the smile that was set on his face, but she wondered if all this was for real. She knew that the boy she fancied a bit was known for hurting girls. Would she be next?

"No, it's alright, don't worry about it." said Aidan, looking downwards toward his shoes. "I understand why they wouldn't like me. People tell me I'm stuck up. I guess I am," he looked up at her, his green eyes bright and apologetic. At least, they seemed apologetic. "but Mel, I can't help it. I've been brought up to think about people a certain way, so I do. Do you blame me for being who I am?" He pursed his lips, and very gently took her hand in his.
Then he had a thought, and looked up at her smiling, and said, "Melanie, dear, I'm afraid I've got to go meet my mum at the ice cream parlor, but I hate to end this conversation. Would you like to come with me? Ice cream's on me!"
He glanced over at Mac and Hollywood, who kept shooting him poisonous glances and whispering. He'd steal her right out from under their noses. Of course, he knew she'd say yes to lunch with him in a heartbeat. Any girl would. It was a talent he had. His green eyes smiled into Melanie's icy ones. He really didk like her quite a bit, but he couldn't keep himself from wanting her more than he liked her.
In fact, he wasn't as heartless as most people thought. He truly cared for most womens' feelings. At least, most of the one's he'd been with. He didn't want to hurt any girl, but he wanted what he wanted, and cared about that much more than his 'feelings.'

Masika spotted Hollywood and Mac hiding and whispering to each other as they watched what seemed to be an actual flirting ritual going on between Melanie and...Masika's mind paused a minute. ...Aidan? Yes. That was it. She carefully inserted herself next to the two, still wearing the blue dress robe she had been trying on earlier.
"Playing hide-and-seek?" she asked quietly, which to any normal person, it would be almost hard to hear. Masika wasn't generally this nosy, but she really wanted to know what the four-one-one was.
Zaidin watched his friend and snuck up in there too and peered at Melanie and Aidan. There was a major flirthfest going down. Melanie seemed extremely giggly and she blushed a lot. He really needed to know how to charm girls like that. He could use those kinds of things on Masika, in an attempt to win her heart.

Melanie looked at Aidan as he talked. She said, Oh dear, of course I don't blame you! She felt him gently take her hand and she slightly smiled. She felt the warmth from his hand and autimatically felt a comrfort there. But hadn't she felt the same thing when Hollywood had grabbed her hand? It was true that she did, but why did her heart race even more right now? Was it because her heart was telling her that she like Aidan better? Could that even be possible? These questions were banging around in her head, causing her not to be paying attention all that well.
She was brought back to reality when she saw Aidan smile and ask that simple question. She stood around wondering if she should go with him. 'Hollywood or Aidan? Aidan or Hollywood? Hollywood or Aidan? Aidan or Hollywood?' Melanie was weighing this through her mind. She didn't want to keep her fellow Slytherin, Aidan, from waiting too long so she said with a smile. "I'll go with you only because the ice cream's on you," She teased him, while she slightly tickled him under his chin and smiled.
There was a slight age difference between the two, which Melanie hoped wouldn't matter. Because quite frankly, Melanie really does have a thing for Aidan. She would be open to just about anything the Slytherin charmer would say. She couldn't help it, the green eyes, the sincere smile (well, atleast to her and for now), and saying the right things just made him irresistable to Melanie. She then let Aidan lead her away hand in hand from the robe shop. She gave a quick smile and wave to Mac, Hollywood, and from who she now saw next to them Masika and Zaidan.
((You can now post in the ice cream parlor Rachael/dadoe now dear! ))

Mac was frowning while she was pulling Hollywood all the way across the room to be away from Melanie and Aidan. "Come on Hollywood! Stop whining!" Since Hollywood was much taller then the poor, short Mac it was hard for her to drag her friend away. But she had to, if she didn't, Hollywood was likely to swing a punch at Aidan's face. She couldn't have that happening. Not here, not now.
Of course, Hollywood wouldn't have minded of course. He would have made sure to hit Aidan in his jaw so he wouldn't be able to smile so weetly at Melanie anymore. He angrily whispered to Mac, "Why are you pulling me away all the way to here? I can't pound him here! Just look at that jerk charming Melanie...she could get hurt..." He was looking at Adian in disgust along with Mac once he saw Melanie laugh and blush. Mac knew her best friend well. Aidan had her, he really, really had her. There she was stading a fool while Hollywood was fuming.
The pair noticed Masika and Zaidan come up by them. Mac whispered back to Masika, "I guess you could say that, but I just had to pull Hollywood away. He'd cause a terrible commotion!" She quickly looked back at her best friend and Aidan and she sighed. What did she see in him? Mac looked back to Masika and whisper, "By the way...nice dress! Looks good!" She looked at Hollywood for support and he quickly nodded towards Masika telling her that he agreed with Mac.
Hollywood let out a noise of rage all of a sudden. Mac quickly looked at him. "What??" Hollywood looked at her with a sad expression on her face. "She just left with him, smiling." He looked at the place where Melanie stood, wishing that she'd all of a sudden be there. But he should have known better, she was away and with the charmer Aidan.

Masika smiled wide. "You really think so?" she asked and grinned even wider. Now she was definitely getting it. She watched Melanie and Aidan together as they talked, flirted.
"I think you two just got ditched." she said as Melanie left. "That was pretty rude of her." she stood back up and went to the mirror. Subtlety was not Masika's thing. She admired the dress again in the mirror and looked it completely over.
Zaidin sighed from off to the side. He had been standing there watching Masika, and Melanie and Mac. The three M's. Oh, and Hollywood. He didn't really fit in. Well, that was a lie. He fit in just fine. A little too good, to be frank.
"Masika." he said. "It looks fine." he assured her. "I'll buy it for you. But you need to take it off..." He thought about that sentence for a minute and blushed quite profusely. Oh and there was no hiding that deep red color on his pasty white cheeks.
"And uh..." cough. "change into your other" cough. "clothes." He stammered. Silly Zaidin.

Mac nodded at Masika and smiled softy. "I really think so Masika." Mac continued smiling softy. She didn't know why Masika was doubting herself, she would look great in anything, she had that luck. Hollywood nodded slowly, putting in his input. It helped take his mind of Melanie leaving him. Oh, and Mac too of course. Mac all ready knew that Melanie had ditched them but she replied, "Yea, I guess she did...."
Hollywood looked at Mac, he was trying his very best to not look miserable, which was what he was feeling. In fact, if you saw him, you would think that he was very content with Melanie's departure. He had the normal expression on his face and even his blue eyes didn't look the least bit sad. He remembered that Mac was wearing a dress robe. He smiled a small smile and looked at Mac. "You need to buy that dress. It needs yoooouuuu!" Mac laughed as Hollywood ran up to her and ruffled her hair as if she was a little kid. Once he was done she smoothed her hair out again.
"Now that was very nice of you to say mister, but don't mess with the hair." Mac was smiling as she was saying this. And Hollywood realized. She had used his line. Being a "greaser" he hated it when people messed with his hair. He had used that line when Melanie and him had first met and he said something stupid so Melanie ruffled his hair a bit. Hollywood turned his attention back to Zaidin. He saw him blushing about the comment he just made and thought it best not to tease him about it. Lines like that always came out at the wrong times. And on a normal basis if you didn't think about them after saying them, they weren't actually that bad. Hollywood gave him the look with his eyes that said, "I know excatly how you feel buddy."
Mac had come out of the changing room once again but this time in her regular clothes. She smiled to herself as she paid the saleslady up there.
