Hollywood looked out the window, longingly watching the people walk by with excited look upon their faces. He longed to be outside with those people, walking, smiling, and having a good time. But alas, he couldn't. Why? Because he was stuck inside the boring Inks 'n' Things Stationary shop none only with the girl he crushed on, Melanie Parks. He sighed for the third time, but to him and Melanie it felt like the millionth. He had all ready combed his hair, fixed his color just right, and hummed an Elvis song to kill the eerily slow five minutes that they had been inside the store. Five minutes of no exitement was enough for him. He decided to take his chances by asking for the second time, "...Could you please tell me once agian why we're here in this dreafully boring shop?"
The saleslady shot him a offended look, but Hollywood just gave her an apologetic look and one of his smiles. The saleslady smiled back and gave him a look that said to him "You are forgiven for being so rude." He turned his back and smirked, for some reason he was always able to get away things with just his simple smile. When he turned back around again he saw that Melanie was standing hardly three inches away with a frustrated look on her face. Her normally bright and smiling peircing blue eyes were set in a frustrated glare that could have been the reason she was put in Slytherin. But he knew it wasn't because of her Slytherin glare that she was put into that house of the snakes, it was because she went after she wanted. With her eyebrows pratically knitted in frustration she answered, "I have all ready told you Hollywood. We are here because my parents like for me to write to them almost everyday. My parchment and ink supply are low, so I need more."
Her eyes softened and she all of a sudden looked guilty of something. She said in her normally happy tone, "Sorry that I kind of snapped at you. You know, I'm pretty sure that Danny and Ponyboy would like for you to write more this year." She had a look of knowing on her face. Breathing in the smell of parchment and ink in quickly, Hollywood agreed. Danny would be dissapointed if he didn't write. His match was made, as usual Melanie was right. He sighed again and took a look around at the different quills. They were quite a variety, some were long, some were short, they varied in colors and in thickness. He wondered what Melanie was getting. Not knowing what to get himself, he'd simply get what she was getting.
When Melanie had the bag of what she purchased in her hand Hollywood stepped up to the counter, propping his elbows on the counter. "I'll take whatever that little lady over there got" He jerked a thumb back at Melanie with a soft smile on his face. The saleslady got several roll of parchment, three quills, and five bottles of ink for him. Melanie was no joke when she said she wrote to her parents a lot. Look at all this stuff! He glumly paid for his things and got his bag from the lady.

A tall willowy girl with a boyish figure pushed open the door as she entered Inks 'n' ThingsAsia!A tall willowy girl with a boyish figure pushed open the door as she entered Inks 'n' Things -Stationary Shop. She really just wanted to buy some new parchment, a seal with her innitials and some colored ink in goldenrod, and aquamarine, her two favorite colors. Mainly she was starting with her luxery shopping. She really had everything she needed. Her parents had bought her all her books a month ago when they received the list, and now all she had to do was get paper and ink, and stop by the wand shop to get a tune up.
Blue jeans a white tank top and a black coat, the fancy button up kind, hung on her frame. Her body was thin and muscular, and it always made her uncomfortable. Alot of the girls she kne, even the younger girls, were more busty and "attractive" then she was. But, with her black coat pulled tightly around her body, her seemingly unnatural frame is less noticible. And it was a bit shilly out, so it seemed to all work out together.
As Asia looked up, she spotted a fellow Hufflepuff, Hollywood, and a Slytherin. Melanie. She was a nice girl, but Asia wasn't trsuting in Slytherins, and Melanie was part of Slytherin's Quidditch team, which made it even harder to ot just ignore her. But, Hollywood liked Melanie, alot, considering the way he folowed her and cheered for her, so, she supposed the girl was an exception to the "all Slytherin's are bloody bastards" rule.

Melanie looked inside her bag to make sure she had everything that she wanted. Three new quills, five bottles of ink, and several rolls of parchment for letters and for school work...yup. I think I got everything I need. Melanie's hands were itching to start writing a letter right here and now when she wasn't even away from her family yet. Well not entirely, they dropped her off to meet Hollywood her. She was glad to be here with her friend and crush, luckily her stomach hadn't done any weird things yet, but she was sure it would happen sooner or later. It was always like that with he when she was around him.
Melanie and Hollywood both heard the door open. They also heard the light footsteps, so they figured it was a girl. Hollywood was still thanking the saleslady so Melanie was the one who saw the person first. It was indeed a girl. A Hufflepuff girl. Asia, to be excat. Melanie smiled at her and gave a small wave. Melanie didn't know her very well, but she had a feeling that Asia had a slight dislike for her. Which wasn't too much of a surprise to her, she was put into Slytherin after all, the house most people hated. "Hi Asia!" Melanie chirped brightly.
This made Hollywood finally turn around. When he saw her, he smiled. He was in the same house as her so he knew her better than Melanie. "Hey Asia. Fancy meeting you here. Summer holiday been good?" Looking at her clothes he wondered why she was bundled up so tightly, it wasn't that cold out. He looked at his own outfit: red plaid short sleeve shirt, slightly tight jeans, and black boots. This look was him, and he wasn't the least bit cold. He gave her a kind smile and looked quickly at Melanie to see her expression. He was worried that she might have a look of confusion on her face since she didn't know Asia too well, but his worries stopped when he looked at her. She was shyly smiling at Asia, her eyes bright and happy.

Asia paused as she pushed her hands back into her pockets and smiled gently at the pair. They were such an odd pair. A Slytherin and Hufflepuff. It really made no sence in Asia's book, but well, who knew? Maybe Melanie was really charming, or Hollywood was really shallow. But, as far as she knew, they were both fairly normal, nice students. So after brushing a few stray locks of her dirty blonde hair, she looked around.
"Hello Melanie, Hollywood." She said politely. Luckily Hollywood was one of the only boys she found attractive that she was completely blonde around. She atleast could control her wandering eyes, mainly, and her giggle fits. "Oh, you know, the usual. What about yours?" She asked glancing up at the pair.
It was almost dampening, how she knew they liked each other, but that was her life she supposed. Always the friend, never the love intrest. 'But that's not always a bad thing.' she decided with a smile. It gave her more reason to spend more time on homework and studdies, and Quidditch. Asia had no idea what she would do if she had no time for Quidditch, and she was also sure boys, and girls too, took up alot of time.
"And how are you Melanie? Was your summer good too?" She asked realizing it would be impolite to not adress the Slytherin. And even though the girl was a Slytherin, she wasn't Castrus, so, atleast Asia couldn't complain about her, outside of Quiditch.

Hollywood smiled slightly. Asia was a nice girl and she was in his house. He answered "It was pretty good. Spent most of time at my job at the the DX gas station. But it's okay, since I like it there." Hollywood thought back to the summer. It was true that he spent a lot of time at his job, but he did do other things. But most of them included tearing Danny and Stephen aparts before they lashed out at each other. It was always like that during his summer. So he looked forward to the times he had to work. He knew both his brothers loved each other dearly, but he also know that they had their differences.
Melanie looked around the small stationary shop for a quick glance to see what she thought Asia would buy. But she couldn't decide what seemed like Asia's type of stationary or quills. Would she go for the fancy ones? Or the plainer ones? Or would she be wild and go with the multicolored ones that were dyed? Melanie herself got two handsome black quills along with a dainty looking, but strong cream one. This matter troubled Melanie but she knew the reason why she couldn't decide was because the two girls didn't know each other well. they had the few causal conversations like this one, passing glances in the halls, and quidditch matches. None of these were special and memorable moments. Well, maybe quidditch was. Yes, Melanie was sure of that much. Maybe she could change their distances from each other this year at Hogwarts. But then she wondered if Asia would even want to be her friend. Would she? She heard Asia adress her and was sort of surprised that she did so.
She hid the surprise in her eyes and facial expression and happily answered, "Oh I'm good. Just finishing up the school shopping. My summer was nice, got some quidditch practice in. Did you?" Melanie knew that Asia played quidditch. She was glad that they had something in common that Melanie could question about in a simple, yet, casual way. Asia played seeker, she knew this because they played against each other a couple times all ready. Asia in Melanie's opinion made a good seeker. She had a good eye, was able to find the snitch quickly.

Asia nodded at Hollywood as he told her of his summer. She had vaguely remembered that he had mentioned working fora gas station before but she hadn't really let it sink in, so, she was sure she would forget once more. "Oh, you work there with your brothers right?" Asia asked trying to remember. She was certain he had brothers, atleast two.
She let her eyes wander around the shop and glanced at the quils. She needed one practical one, and maybe she would buy one with golden and black feathers, she was proud of her house and liked to wear her colors all the time. She let her eyes fall on a quil with a soft looking white feather and then another one on another shelf with a golden feather and black tips. Her mind was momentarily sidetracked.
Then Melanie spoke and she glanced at the girl before turning her attention to her, and glancing at her bags, wondering what she had bought. "Oh yeah, loads. My dads been helping me. He bought me a snitch, not an official one, but one to practice with. I'm geeting faster, and better in stormy weather." She said with a big grin that was deffinately genuine.

"Why do you care so much? Why don't you just go buzz off and go on with your perfection?" Sky shot the male over her shoulder, pushing open the door to the shop with her weight, for no reason, rather than her arm. Ever since Ryan had found her after she'd dissappeared, he'd become annoying; he was only concerned and trying to make ammends, and she knew that, but she couldn't just let everything go just like that. No, she needed more.
"Will you listen already?" Ryan hissed, lowering his voice as he glided across the floor, following Skylar to a part of the shop where she started to look at new quils and inks of various colors; she was never one to be plain. He looked around, over his shoulder, to see who else was there and to observe the store that was the staionary. It was warmly lit and seemed rather homely, almost like an office at the same time since all this stuff was hanging around.
"I just need a chance, Sky. That's all I'm asking. Why can't you do that much? We used to be so close... why such sudden change?" he went on, his eyes looking hurt and his voice giving such emotion away; he was looking at her with his dark brown eyes, searching her for an answer, any answer, to show she wanted it just as much as he.
"Oh shut up already!" she spat back, grabbing two quills, one that was a deep blood red with gold strands here and there, and another that was a plain deep, lustful green. As for ink, she just grabbed a standard black. She turned without bothering to look at him from the moment she'd started to talk and just made her way over to the counter where she placed her stuff and waited to pay, Ryan just behind her. "Why don't you just go and harrass some other girl. Surely they'd love your time much more than me, assuming they don't fall asleep first." §k¥lαя // Σiиτ ll sorry if the post is a little crappy... i can't seem to keep a straight mind right now.. and i'm going to go to sleep before i pass out xP (sorry again if it's horrible D: ) ll

Hollywood laughed when Asia asked him if he worked with his brothers at the gas station. But then realizing that laughing was rude he gave her an apologetic look and explained, "No, sorry about my laugh there. I work there with my best friend Reggie. Stephen's only nine so he wouldn't be able to work there. And Danny has another job." The reason he laughed was becase he was trying to see little Stephen working there. In his imagination little Stephen was putting some gas into the car, put he was putting in the wrong type for that car. This thought made him smile slightly. 'Good 'ol little Stephen...'
Melanie looked at Hollywood smiling. She could tell he was thinking of either Danny or Stephen. He always had that same smile. Happy, but with a dash of sadness...'Or is it regret?' That part always got Melanie a little confused she couldn't excatly tell if the smile was filled with a dash of sadness or regret. Melanie placed a mental note inside her head: She decided that she would write to Danny and Stephen also this year. She had met them plenty of times. She didn't know if Hollywood inform them on everything so she decided it would be best to tell his family about him and his time at Hogwarts.
She then turned her attention to Asia, she was answering her question. "That's great! I wondered how you as a seeker would be able to get practice in without a snitch. I guess Slytherin will have to watch out for Hufflpuff's wonder seeker, none other than...Ms. Asia!' She smiled at Asia. She noticed while the girl spoke she had a smile on her face, a real smile. Melanie guessed that Asia loved quidditch just as much as she did. She looked up at Hollywood, he was no longer smiling the smile with a dash of something that she couldn't quite identify. No, he was smiling a happy smile because two nice girls were actually interacting with each other on a subject they both loved (or so he guessed), quidditch.

"Qu'est-ce que tu dit? Entendez-vous vous-meme?!"" Ryan stated, his voice low, disbelieving and angry; had she really just said that to him, his own sister? Not having realized it, he'd grabbed her wrist with a slight force, causing her not only to wince but pull away from him slightly; and at the front of the store, too. Realizing his mistake, his eyes widening for a moment, he let go of her and took a step back slightly, positioning himself upright and coughing as though to excuse his actions. "I'm sorry.." he appologized, not able to look at her after such a horrid action.
Skylar store at him, wondering what had brought about such a side of her brother she'd never come to see in a while. She'd seen it before, yes, but... when had the last time been? Surely not for years... She bit her lip as she turned to the counter, the salesman finally behind it and bringing up the prices. Although she'd been shocked and fearful for a moment, of the sudden aura her brother had emited towards her, she was back to her normal self and seeming rather cold towards the male standing besides her, her 'escort' until later. "What I do is of no concern to you. Nor is anything I say. So why don't you just go buzz off," she replied rather calmly, her voice tipped with ice as she handed over some gallions and sickles to the man who had announced the price of her purchess.
As she recieved her things and turned to leave, she didn't bother to continue the conversation with her brother; she didn't bother to look at him or acknowledge him in anyway. And so, she started out of the store, the sound of her sneakers gently hitting the floor of the store trailing after her. It wasn't until her hand was on the door that her brother briskly caught up to her, catching the door as she let it go, fully out into Diagon Alley again. "It's going to be even harder now," he said softly to himself, not having spoken a word nor moved till that point.
And, taking the steps following his sister, the door shutting slowly behind him, he glanced around at the busy area. The day to Hogwarts was getting closer, and already he felt the welcoming warmth of a second home calling him, whispering sweet words of this other life. But now it seemed different somehow, as though the image of this perfection had burned so suddenly, had torn in half or even had the images upon it run together and bleed from his mind until it was blank. Was it all because of his sister? Was this how he'd made her feel all these years? Why can't I find the way to understand...? he thought, striding in behind her and continuing off to wherever the next spot she was taking him was. §k¥lαя // Σiиτ

Her smile stayed but softened as she listened to the pair. Her brows showed her confusion whenhollywood laughed and they stayed slightly pursed even when he explain himself until a few moments later when she shrugged her shoulders and let her eyes wander to the quills she had spotted before. She took a moment to take a step closer to the shelf and grab the pair she had been eyeing earlier.
Asia nodded to Melanie, "Yeah you will! And if I manage to get my self hurt, then it's none other then my next in line, Cedric Diggory." she stated with an almost sister like pride. So Cedric was a bit of inner house competition? Oh well. He was becoming a good Seeker, and Asia hoped that when she graduated, he would take over as Seeker and make the team win. But then again, she hoped the same thing for herself. She also hoped to make captain in the next year or two.

Hollywood saw the pair of students arguing and he frowned. It was too much like home. When they left, the slight frown stayed fixed. He wondered what excatly they were arguing about, it didn't sound anything like the ones he heard at home. The ones at home were over things that had no use of arguing over.
Melanie saw the quills that Asia had settled on. So I was wrong on what I thought she'd get. Oh well. She then looked at Asia and listened to her reply. She hope that Asia wouldn't get hurt. "Not to be rude or anything, I don't want you to get hurt, but I'd like to see Cedric play sometime." The look set on Melanie's face was one that couldn't be read easily. She though back to the now third year Cedric Diggory. She had always thought there was something special about him. Probably the fact that he was indeed nice to just about everyone and not to mention oddly cute.
The pair of friends were taking no note of the time. Melanie's mind was still on qudittch and Cedric Diggory. She said to Asia, "Just as a fair warning, if you are in my way there might be a chance I might bump you." She gave a joking but yet serious smile and Hollywood looked at her with a look of confusion. He finally spoke,"Why would you do that to sweet Asia, Melanie?" Melanie shrugged, waiting to see Asia's reaction on the matter, and then explain herself.

The smile from before faded rather quickly and was replaced by a rather apathetic expression. "Well, let's hope that doesn't happen then." She said with a look that neither gave away the fact Asia thought the Idea of Melanie hurting her funny, or the idea that Asia would be offended by Melanie's comment. She was deciding to play along. Asia was quite confident she had a bit more muscle, or agility then Melanie, afterall, Asia was a seeker, Melanie a Chaser. And Asia had been th back up beater until she was put as Seeker in her third year, but no one really kept track of who was the reserve for what back then.
With a smile that made it's apearence when Asia first greeted the pair, Asia looked over at the area the inks were all in and then turned back to the pair. "Well, nicing running into you, but I'm on a bit of a time restraint. See you both at school." She said politely as she smiled to the pair and turned to look over at the inks, not leaving the area the pair was standing in just yet.
