Kiko Loureiro's new solo album, No Gravity. Is an astoundingly amazing instrumental production. It's Brazilian influence is clear and every song is both beautiful and powerful. If you haven't heard anything from Kiko's new album, you should really check it out! Kiko Loureiro was the guitarist that got me into Angra :3
I like fast progressive solos, the way he does them.

Ahaha, he's definitly awesome but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's the best in the world.
I like Alexis Laiho or whatever his name is x3
Not that he's better, I just prefer his style of playing.

But yeah, I like a bunch of other guitarists as well. Like, Micheal Angelo Batio and his crazy quad guitar, lol

He doesn't have to, I think that's more of a showoff thing. There's a difference between skill and speed i'll have to say. Just because someone plays fast doesn't mean the tune will be coherent, if you get what I mean?
Some of his solo's are a bit over the top.
