To spare everyone from spamming this topic all over the forum, I made the one and only "Official Favorite Album Discussion". All other threads like this will be deleted.

Ok, so let's get this thread moving.

My favorite albums are Rebirth and Holy Land.

To get into all the details about why would take far too long to discuss, and I'm not a patient person. So I'll just give a few small explanations.

Rebirth - By the time this album came out, Angra had released several albums already and were already popular. As you might already know, this is the first album released by the new Angra lineup, and many people were afraid of how these changes would impact the sound of Angra. But this album did not dissapoint, in fact it actually became one of their best selling albums. The album really shows how the band Angra is a truly indestructible force of nature.

Holy Land - This album just recently became one of my favorites. This album is arguably the best album they have released. It is highly experimental, and yet it is indistinguishably Angra. The music in the album has strong Brazilian Influence, and each song is a highly orchestrated masterpiece.

That is all.

As you could probably guess, if my favorite song at the moment is Metal Icarus, of course Fireworks would be one of my favorite albums. I also liked Holy Land. Both of these albums were really well done, and I will be praising the hell out of these two in later posts... probably several other albums too ^_^

I guess that makes 2 that share not only a favorite album but also a favorite song!

I must agree that Metal Icarus is one of my favorites. Actually, Metal Icarus was the first song I ever heard by Angra! Yes, the album Fireworks was truly a landmark.

My first Angra song ever was Carry On I think, and I like "Angels Cry" a good load, but I still preffer the Fireworks sound somewhat more.

Excellent! High five! Yes, that was the first song I heard by them, then I got the album, and then I listened to the rest of their stuff since then, but that one has stuck with me.

My favorite album I voted for was Fireworks, but it was really hard to pick between that or Angels Cry.

The Course of Nature was just the single release. The album is called Aurora Consurgens, and depending on who you ask, the opinion of the album varies. I'd say it is a solid Angra album.

That's the new album right? I've only heard two songs from that one... Scream Your Heart Out and The Voice Commanding You. I want to listen to more, but I am devoid of money right now... I'll probably download it somewhere.
