The dark night scene that fell before Ghiaccio's eyes was nothing but bliss for him. The return of the goddess Zaramai had put many of the gargoyles in very good moods, and the ice god agreed to stop the falling of snow for a few days in celebration. But this night, he had allowed the snow to fall once again. It fell slowly and softly, the gentle flakes brushing against their master's shoulder. For the night, he was happy again.

The white skin of a female goyal could be easily seen the the darkness of the falling snow. Istas was standing outside on an balcony, she was enjoying the snow as it fell to the ground. Once she had gotten back from saving the Goddess she had mainly just wonder around the castle aimlessily. She had just made sure the Conan and Nyx were fine, before heading off to be alone. Closing her eyes for a moment, she opened her light blue wings, ready to fly into to the air.

Of course, the bright glimmer of white flesh caught the god's eyes. Looking up, his heart skipped a beat as he recognized his beloved's pale beauty. Ghiaccio allowed he ice in his wings to thin before flying upward to perch on the rim of the balcony, his eyes locked onto her as his face turned a violet shade and his mouth began to dry. He was certain that only the sight of Istas could do this to him.

Istas blinked when the god flew up to her. Slowly her wings closed as she looked into his eyes. "Gh-Ghia, um," Her heart skiped a beat as she fought to say something. "What are you doing here?" she the only things she could get out. Though, she should of figure that he was out here, since it was snowing.

Ghia smiled, his eyes softening to a delightful pale blue, the same hue as the rest of his body, but light enough to stand out. "To serenade you, of course." He grinned, and then burst into soft laughter. "I'm just kidding, I can't sing at all."
Unexpectedly, he reached out to Istas and pulled her into a hug. "I just wanted to see you, that's all."

"And here I thought I'll be able to hear you sing," she replied, with a gentle smile. Happily she let him pull her into the hug, which she wrapped her own arms around him. "Well, I'm glad to see you either way," Istas told him, not wanting him to let go. "I've haven't seen you in a while. ... Where have you been?" she asked, though she wasn't sure if she should or not.

"Well, you wouldn't want me to be responsible for the murder of countless animals, would you?" Ghiaccio chuckled, pulling away slightly so he could look at his beloved. "I'm glad to see you, too..." He stopped, a little scared of what she would think if he told the truth. "I... I was terrified of not being able to control a blizzard if I got too angry... Most of the time, it's very easy to control it, but not when I was as angry as I was... So I fled in order to assure there would be no gargoyle casualties on my behalf... I'm... I'm sorry..."

Istas looked him into his eyes when he told her why he wasn't there. "It's ok, I understand. And I'm glad that you care about the other gargoyles, unlike Aldric. But it doesn't matter now, since the goddess is safe now," she told him.

Ghiaccio smiled, pulling Istas into another embrace. "Thank you, Istas. I feel a lot better now." There was a long silence then, before he pulled his head up and leaned in to kiss his beloved.

Istas enjoyed the cold warmth from Ghia as he held her. She looked up when he moved slightly, only to get caught in a kiss. She started to return it, only to suddenly push away. Thoughts were racing though her mind, as she wonder if it was right for a mortal to be with a god and what could happen because of it. The only thing she could do was to look at him, unable to say something.

Ghiaccio's brow furrowed worriedly as Istas began to pull away. Hopeful that she was just a little surprised, he smiled warmly at her. "A little too soon?"

"Um, Ghiaccio," Istas started wondering what to say. But he was willing to tell her the truth, plus he was a god with more wisdom then her. "I don't know how to say this but is ... is this alright for a god and a mortal to be together?," she asked him, not looking at him. "Some day I'm going to die, but you won't." She stopped not knowing what else to say. It might be better if the end now, but she ... she loved him. She didn't want him to became sad and depressed. There were also another things, she could think of that would make the relationship not work.

Ghiaccio gave a soft laugh at Istas' question. "Well, of course. Many of the gods have had god-mortal relationships, mostly out of not wanting to break alliances within the pantheon... They're actually more common than having a relationship with another immortal." He frowned when she told him that she would die. He knew, in the back of his mind, that their love would not last after she died. "Then..." His eyes, keeping their light blue softness, seemed all too serious then. "When you are to die... I will give up my immortality and die with you."

"Well, I guess that does seem to be the thing to happen more often," Istas said, but then he told her that he will die with her. Her eyes widen with surprise, before they narrowed. She looked back at him and told him, "I can't let you do that. I couldn't bare to have you die for me. It wouldn't be right."

Well, the denial of him giving up his immortality wasn't expected. He leaned back slightly as she told him not to do what he claimed to be right for his beloved. "But you would rather have me suffer from you not being there with me?"
