Here's a place to discuss animals: famous ones throughout history, pets we have in the here and now, whatever. From Alexander the Great's horse Bucephalus to Odin's eight-legged Sleipnir... from pirate parrots to cats 'n dogs, this is the place to talk about 'em!

Like how - at four in the morning when they start shoveling and salting the roads and my dog goes insane and starts barking. Did I mention this is at FOUR in the morning? - *but* still love him~~!!!! I'm also thinking of adopting a Papillon!

That's a cool dog you got there Fauxlorne! Hey everybody! This is my "sister": She's been with my mom for 15 years. How about that? So of course we think of her as my older sis, he-he. I left it as a link so you could all see the video.

Thanx Jasta! I thought to share it cuz, after 15 years, I figured she doesn't have long and this is a recent video (last year). She still has good eyesight and can move rather well. She got sick a few months ago but at least managed to recover well. 3nodding

Hypno, your 'big' sister is adorable. Such a cute video!
Jasta - Oh noses! That's the link to my other weakness! I find it thoroughly amusing frequently what can be taken as charactures of my friends/family pop up on icanhascheezburger, like my Baby Sissy, who has been affectionately dubbed Beasty.

I wish I had an animal to love me when I get home... A nice lap cat, for instance...
We had budgies when I was a kid. One of them lived for about twelve years, too. But birds aren't really cuddly animals, per se. My green and yellow one, Spritie, came close, though.

Thanx Gornwen! That's me and my DS by the way. I found it very strange and kinda cool, that she liked to see what the game was about. The game was one of the mini games that come with Mario 64 for DS. Has anyone seen the one where you have to push a shell with the Stylus to make the shell touch as many red shells as possible? The red shells start as billiard balls and the more you push, the more points you get. By the time we made the video, we were watching a Spanish show called "El Chavo". Has anyone seen the cartoon version of it?
Anyways, Beasty, huh? That's cool!
Hey Berz! What are budgies? I should look them up but I don't have time right now... rolleyes

hypnocrown Hey Berz! What are budgies? I should look them up but I don't have time right now... rolleyes Some folks call 'em parakeets, but they're actually not. Budgies are a separate type of cute little birdie. Berz.

Oh, parakeets! In Spanish, we call those "Periquitas Australianas"; that would mean Australian Parakeets. Kinda similar, ain't it?
I think my mom used to have a couple once but, not for long. 3nodding

We had three, two of which we had at the same time. A grey one named Mickey, a blue one named Sam, and a green and yellow one named Spritie.
Sam was a bit of a cranky bird, though. Really didn't like it when we needed to take her in to get her wings and toenails clipped. She once made the pet shop owner bleed, she could bite so hard! Still loved 'em all.

Oh my goodness - I'll take a picture of my mother's birdies when I get home! She likes the budgies! I have a picture of her African Grey Parrot... Gandolf - he sings and whistles... I think he's annoying but my mommy loves him... Since I'm going home - I'll have pictures of all the children!
Oh - and the picture before of the little dog is the type I'm going to buy! When I get the money! Hopefully Charlie, ((mah puppah)) won't get to upset.
AND - Hypno!!! We had a dog like that till she passed away - She was always in charge when my mother wasn't around. A little chihuahua named Chavito (spanish) - Penny, in english. She was a great great dog. Then I got my Mapo, who has also since passed on... We had Penny for 13 or so years and Mapo for 15.
crying crying crying - I miss my babies!!!!!
