If you have a tip on some good places to buy yarn or your local yarn store is having a sale, let us know here! Not that any of us really need to increase our stash but c'mon - we can't miss a sale!

So I mentioned this in another post but a lot of people don't know that you can get some great deals on unusual yarns at Big Lots. At my local Big Lots I have found five and six dollar yarns for one and two dollars. They are usually novelty yarns like ribbon or eyelash yarn. Here are some things I have found there:
Red Heart Kooky - $2
Red Heart Foxy - $1
Fashion Thirteen - $1
Lion Brand Incredible - $1
Lion Brand Trellis - $1
Premiere Lorain - $1
Patons Brilliant - $1
They get new things all the time so I check every time I go. My store doesn't have a yarn section, they just put boxes of yarn at the ends of aisles. I have usually found it at the back of the store near the sheets and pillows section.

It might be a little late for this, it looked pretty picked over when I went, but when I went to Michaels, they had a dollar display, and a $5 display, and there were 1 pound skeins of sugar n cream.

I live in Taunton. But When my brother needs magic cards we head to a shop in Rehoboth, next door there is a Shop called Loraine's Stitch and Craft. The have thick yarns, light yarns, and some others. They also sell hooks and needles. Their prices are really cheap and is you sign up you get a cards that has $5, $10, and $15 they punch your total into it. When the card is empty you get a huge discount.
