I know it will be hard for some people to pick just one but what would you say is your favorite yarn? What do you use the most often?

You guys are going to laugh at me but seriously the yarn I use the most often is the cheap acrylic stuff like Red Heart or Caron Wintuk. It is perfect for amigurumis because it holds shape well, can take a beating, and it comes in amazing colors. And it doesn't stretch too much so you can stuff them firmly.
I don't make wearables very often so I don't have to buy fancy angora or anything like that. Until I learn how to knit that is!

I usually use the red heart stuff becuase it's cheap and I can't afford the expensive yarn. Plus the yarns that I like, I'd have to buy two skeins in order to make something decent and redheart has enough to make whatever plus leftovers. Other than itchy redheart yarn, I love baby yarn to make wearables. If only they had it in more colors than pink, blue, and white.

Wash any red heart wearables with liquid fabric softener and it makes it nice and soft biggrin

Wait wait wait. I don't understand. Pick... one... favorite yarn?
... I ... well... that's just impossible. xd
(I'm a sucker for Sean Sheep's 'Wildwood' yarn, though. Any colorway. It's just so... fun!)

For the sake of my wallet, I mostly stick to Red Heart for casual crocheting projects, and when I can find it for a decent price, I'll get the Lily Sugar n' Cream cotton stuff.
I also use size 10 crochet thread sometimes for things like book thongs.
I haven't tried anything fancier than those yet.

My handspuns, ftw. Love making them, love finding projects to use them in. Love just looking at them. :3
For commercial yarns, I really like Misti Suri Silk. Ohhh... heart

I also like the red heart / sugar n cream cheaper yarns, especially for everyday or utilitarian purposes. BUT, when I discovered www.knitpicks.com, I found out about superwash wool. It is now my favorite thing ever.

Id have to say I just love caron Simply Soft cause it soo sooooo soft just wish it wasnt so heavy when youre done with a tight project. The baby blanket I made out of it was so heavy its definately a winter use only thing but then again it makes a nice play on top kinda blanket too hehe

My absolute favorite is this stuff I got a really teeny sample of, but it's called Love. it's like really soft. The stuff that i use the most, I don't even know what brand it is! So everyone knows that i knit...so whenever someone's grandma dies, or moves to a nursing home, i get the yarn. One time, my mom's co-workers aunt (or something like that) gave up knitting (for whatever reason), so she gave her set of circular needles to my mom. It's that kind that has different lengths of the plastic connectors (sorry, don't know the technical name, I never used them), along with like every size of needle, so you just make whatever size in whatever length you need. I am pretty partial to using Lion Brand though...

Ewwww. Call me an elitist, but I just can't abide knitting with acrylics. Acrylic blends - fine, whatever. But RED HEART? It squeaks. You can get a nice ball of Sirdar Click for the same price, better colours, and it's actually mostly wool.
I really like a good Cashmerino, Merino, Wool/Silk blends. The only things I tend to stay away from (religiously) are cottons/linens, and novelty yarns. My favourite /brand/ is probably Handmaiden, but I tend to like them all.
