arrow So I am a convention goer, and I get to see a lot of things at conventions......
VA's like Greg Ayres (LOL NAMEDROPPING~), anime screenings, spiffy cosplayers....But worst of all, rude otaku running all over the place like idiots. Sure certain conventions only come around one time a year, but it certainly isn't reason enough to go tackling cosplayers, going up and asking for pictures while they are eating, and well, just plain being rude. i don't think people should go up to cosplayers while they're eating and taking a break from all of the mayhem, and just ask to take a few pictures. You'll most likely see them again in the Convention hall. Also, when in the Dealer's hall, I don't think, which most people sadly do, go and read manga that is meant for profit. When I go to the book store, I see tons of people just reading manga for hours to no end. You really shouldn't do that. It's rude, and the Dealer's Hall is serious buisness, it is meant for profiting intentions only. if you want to read the manga that bad, read some in the manga library.
arrow When asking others for pictures......
When you're at a convention, it isn't rare to find people going up to others and asking for pictures. Sometimes they will ask politely, or...they will act like complete spazzes and scream if they can take your picture. I think that is a little ridiculous, even though they con-goers are really excited.
I also most times find people being rude and stuck up, when somebody says, "Nice Cosplay.", they just shrug it off. I mean, how rude can you get?
One time when I was at Anime Boston, I said to an L cosplayer that her cosplay was nice, she just rolled her eyes.

Any convention you go to. It WILL be over crowded. So bumping into people, tripping on other people, it is to be expected. But a simple "Excuse me" or , "Pardon/Sorry" wouldn't kill you either. Seriously, people nudge me bump into, while it does bother me a little, it bothers me more that they don't even give something even close to a an apology/excuse me. What really is rude, is when people just look at you and continue to what they were doing. If that was suppose to be a subtle hint to a "Pardon" then it sucked.

So when you go to conventions, you sometimes find it really easy to get a long with people, and talk with them. Although there are a huge number of people who are rude to no end, stuck up, and disrespectful, there are also people who are friendly. But when the other rude cosplayers come and interrupt your fun......

It is both utterly annoying, and rude when someone who wants to take your picture comes up and interupts your discussion. They should have some common sense, and decency to know that they should ask later.
But nope, I guess nothing stops these little ramparts.
arrow DO NOT, ABANDON YOUR POST!
For those of you awesome convention-doers/goers who go to the Karaoke room, you see some otaku, singing their hearts out, whether they be bad or good, duet or solo. But you also know that people
just abandon their posts to sing. If you sign up, you should just wait it out. This happens, alomost all of the time.
It is rude beyond all belief. You make the comittee staff try and find some obscure opening
theme song for you to sing, and when they have it ready, and your at bat, nobody is their to swing. (Erm, is that a bad metaphor?) It's also rude to the audience, and the people who are waiting their turn. They will spen like a whole minute calling the person's name, and when nobody anwsers, the audience, the fellow contenders, and the staff are bugged,
and feel as if though they have wasted their time. They even say to not do that. But I guess they're not that important, I mean it's not like THEY'RE the ones who are running it or anything.
If anything, if you change your mind and don't want to sing anymore, you could at least inform the people running the Karaoke event.
So alas, it is time to wrap this post up.
