Prologue
Neyon is the last stance of the once proud race of man. They once had ruled over all the elements and made peace with the elves and Remoras. Until they discovered a new land over the sea which they named “peley de vohza” (place of new) and from it greed arose for the luscious land known as Peley De Voza. He greed corrupted the hearts of man, elves, and remoras. Thus resulting in the breaking of these nations with the creation of a new one called Vozac and the formation of the element of evil. The fight for the elements had begun.
The last Kingdom
Light was falling over Neyon and the guard posts were empty, except for me Erik and the captain of the lancers Malachi. I am a Lancer guard of Neyon, my job is simple defend the great kingdom of Neyon. Neyon is a grand city it is many miles long and wide and is carved from white chalka stone. It is decorated with houses parapets and a single high tower. Hopefully my post here will be temporary because I’ve been waiting so long to become a soldier of Neyon. Being a soldier is the highest honor in our kingdom, it is the symbol of maturity and of honor.
I looked down at my armor blue and gold colors with a slight shade of red. I was still in guard armor which angered me but I knew this is my job. To ease my impatience I looked out at the forests surrounding the kingdom.
“Daydreaming again Erikk” said Malachi as he sat up from his seat on the parapet.
I turned to him from the balcony and shot back “Well I cant help that we sit here for twelve hours a day looking for enemies I don’t even know exist, it is especially hard to do this with you around” his eyes reddened and he said.
“This job was appointed to you by the king, it is your job to defend this city” I started to speak then he said “I will have no more of this, when I get back I expect you to be at your post” then he walked off to other guard posts.
Erikk looked out through the forests beyond and thought of how his brethren were doing in the war. He left this thought and turned to his Gremlin, a Gremlin was a dragon like creature it was small enough to fly on and had a sapphire crystal between its eyes, and the color of the crystal depicted how your dragon acted sapphire meant calm and intelligent. Each Gremlin was special to a lancer and had a name; he gave his gremlin the name Sheradel. He remembered when he first chose his gremlin, he was 16 (the age in which once they are finished with schooling they are now guards) and when he arrived to the pen of where the gremlins were kept, Sheradel just stood out among the rest. He’d fallen in love with his gremlin and would protect him until the end. The gremlins helped the human’s control the air element without them the humans would die out and the other races would prosper. Besides air there were other elements like earth, water, and Evil.
The elves took earth which was no surprise considering they had great knowledge of the herbs and lands. There were also the remoras, they are like fish people with silver and blue scales they not only seized water they conquered it. There was also the Vozac they were human like except for there cold black eyes and horns that grew atop there eyebrows. They had taken the element known as evil…. something sounded what was it? There was no doubt about it; the sound I heard was the Gremlin horn of the Lancers. Without hesitation I grabbed my iron tipped lance and jumped on my gremlin. I scratched behind his ears and said “This is our chance Sheradel” I nudged him off from the parapet and headed toward the screeching sound of the horn.
Chapter 2 the rescue
Erikk ignoring his duties of watching for invaders forced his Gremlin on toward the horn. The sound was heard once more. I passed out of the kingdom and flew Sheradel into the forests. When I got close enough I flew up from the forests.
The next thing I saw was unnatural horror for when I reached the top I saw to my horror thousands upon thousands of Vozacian Lokaria dragons chasing a small band Gremlin Lancers. The sky riders screamed viscously as they swooped down and grabbed a gremlin and tore it to pieces along with the rider. I then woke from my trance thought quickly, there was only one path to which we could escape, it was an old underground tunnel which led to the castle doors from there hope fully the Neyon guard could hold off the Vozac.
I waved my hand to motion the Lancers straight into the forest, if I could get them in the forest I could most likely lose their followers. The highly trained soldier lancers knew the signal and dived into the forest, but as they did this I didn’t expect the Vozacians to follow us into the forest. When we dove left Lokaria were upon us and tore through our lines with absolute ease and many gremlins fell to the ground. Without even a chance to lower my lance I was knocked from Sheradel, as the ground rushed toward me I was caught by another lancer.
“I hope you have a plan for my gremlin cannot hold us both of us” Said the lancer that caught Erikk.
“Get us to the sacred tunnel from there we will be protected! But first get me to my gremlin!” Cried Erikk.
With that the lancer skillfully avoided more Lokaria and with the few lancers left he signaled them to dive into a thicker part of the forest. He swerved his gremlin to the left and just as the lancers gremlin tired to a slow flight Sheradel appeared out of the trees, I looked at the lancer that caught me he nodded and I jumped on the saddle of my gremlin. The Vozacian’s Lokaria were becoming ferocious and they continued to fall upon the lancers like rain. This time the lancer that caught me motioned his hand for us to lower our lances and we cast down the first wave of Lokaria, but it was useless for the Vozacians kept coming. As I thrust my lance in an upward motion piercing the hard purple skin of a Lokaria, the Vozacian seemed to surround us and blot out the sun. Then through the storm of Vozacian evil, I saw an arrow fly through the trees and hit a Vozacian and his Lokaria. Then a flurry of arrows followed, and struck their targets every time. The Vozacs were swatted like flies from the air.
“Aleh dornaaaaaaa!!!” cried an elven warrior as hundreds of elves jumped on branches near the lancers bows strung.

Chapter 3 Beauty with Friendship
The elvin warriors were cloaked to the fingertips in agile green cloth except for eye slits enabling them to see. Why would elves come to the rescue them, they were not friends of man but enemies but as I thought this the elves released hundreds arrows by the second, hitting many Lokaria. I turned and saw the Vozacian army begin to run. So I quickly signaled the lancers to circle them. When the Vozac’s were surrounded I ordered the lancers to attack.
The lancers struck the Vozac with the fury of their fallen sending many vozacs to their death. The lancers with the help of elven arrow obliterated the formation of the Vozacs. The Vozac’s had no time to regroup and were quickly overwhelmed and retreated to the damned pits from whence they came. I lifted my lance as a signal of triumph and the soldiers gave many cries of victory, but the elves stood motionless. I landed Sheradel and the rest followed with raised lances of triumph. I lightly laughed for I had no time to celebrate and I sought out the elves who were climbing down from the trees.
I saw them climb down and approached one of the elves and said. “What did men do to deserve such treatment from the fair folk?” I stated in a quite unfriendly way.
“Do not get up such high hopes son of man. We are here only to defend our borders which you are trespassing on” mocked the elf I had spoken to.
The lancer that caught me seemed disappointed to what I said to elf and hoping to get on his good side he said “We have lost many men, and our Gremlins are too weak to fly we ask you for passage to Neyon” the elf only smirked under his mask at this comment.
“Hadur please” interrupted an elf woman. “They were brought here by ill fate they only wish for safe passage, they deserve as much brother.” She then pulled down her mask to reveal not a woman but an entity of sheer beauty. Her brown hair shone with the shine of silver, and her eyes an emerald green, Erikk was awestruck it was as if he was blind for all these years and could see again. The elf woman began to blush at the sight of his stare. This angered Hadur for such unworthy eyes should stare upon his sister.
“Sister these men have brought our enemies to us and they have broken the ancient treaty of our fathers, no man or Remora shall pass into our borders. His sister gave him a look of pure fury, he started to protest then stopped and he turned and told the lancers “We shall set you on the right path, but we offer no further help” this apparently satisfied his sister, and me. With that the lancers with their Gremlins and the elven troop were off to find a road unseen to men.
The Journey was not long and within a few hours we found our destination, a small dirt path barely long enough to have a Gremlin walk on. “Does this suit you soldier?” Hadur stated with sarcasm in his voice.
“Quite nicely, thank you for your hospitality” I said wanting to kick him in the face. Hadur turned and left with his troop, his sister took one last look at me and I to her and left. I missed the woman much but I had to get these soldiers back to Neyon with word of Vozac movement.
