Profile
Name: Ezekiel Korbin
Age: 37
Occupation: Fletcher (bow/arrow smith) which is a cover for his true occupation, which is a fence. A buyer and sometimes seller of...darker goods which may have been acquired by questionable means.
Personality: On the surface he appears to be a very humble, god fearing man. Often he acknowledges his work as a necessary evil to defend gods children against the many so called 'demons' of this world. Yet, beneath this a very different man resides. One who has a rather twisted concept of religion, and truly dose not care about the rights, or the wrongs of life. Often he privately indulges himself in many vices, purchased not by his honest profession, but a darker one. One of buying and selling various stolen as well as illegal goods, that seems to add some sort of twisted spice to his life. This statement perhaps acknowledges his views on the world, and his life.
"We are only born once in this world. And from birth the good book says we are damned. I saw that we should indulge in vices. Indulge in sin. Simply because this is merely a short holiday before our eternal damnation, and even the best saint will become satans pawn. Why not start our service now? Why not enjoy this small bit of heaven, for it is all we will see."
History: The son of a modest Fletcher, Ezekiel grew up learning his fathers profession, and although he showed an honest affinity for it, the young lad hated the monotony of the trade. As he grew, it became clearer and clearer that he would not be able to escape his fathers shadow. As if this wasn't enough, he was brought up in a strict religious home, for his mother's uncle was a prestigious clergyman. Often, he was beaten for various small crimes usually resulting in disrespecting his parents. Secretly a hatred of the church grew within the boy.
Yet, eventually, at the age of twenty eight, Ezekiel acquired his fathers shop, and to his displeasure continued his late father's work. For two years, this continued, driving the man to near madness. But that all changed one day when a customer payed for a set of arrows with a device, not coin. This odd thing could start fires with a mere flick of the thumb. It of course was an illegal item, yet somehow it provided a spark to his dull life.
It was soon sold, for a handsome amount of money. Soon after a man came in selling something far more dangerous. A stolen painting from a rather wealthy merchant's house. But against his better judgment, and seeking the thrill again he bought the art. Again, it was sold rather quickly, bringing him even more money. And some whisper spread about the town, that Ezekiel was the man to see if you needed to buy something special. He was the man to see if you needed to get rid of hot merchandise.
He became a fence.
And behind a closed door, in the dead of night...the modest Fletcher brought in some very unmodest customers.
Current residence- A small two story home and business within Rat Ally, dubbed The Bow and Arrow.
Its a simple name, for simple people...after all the
real customers are not so simple, and do not care for names.
