My first manga scan Vector

++When the sun sets over cherry blossom skies,
And the twilight fills the air...

You can see the snow on the mountaintops,
Through the veil, of Old Japan...++

:: So, I had this really low quality raw scan of a manga chapter and I saw a character that I just couldn't resist vectoring. I also got lazy and did some gradient shading rather than my usual fussy shading, but really, it's more about the lineart anyway.

I think the part that took the longest was the outlining itself, but mainly the hair because I had to zoom in a lot in order to vector and low quality raw scans don't really help to make it any easier. The other hard part was outlining the sleeves. In the original scan, there was a giant speech bubble over the body so it was kind of hard to outline the sleeve. I had to improvise on the shoulder, but I think it looks alright.

I chose blue and white just because I love those colors, and it's a sailor style outfit so blue and white seemed appropriate. And also, sailors mean water so I threw in a cheesy beach background. LOL.

So yeah. Comments are nice, criticism is good, but nothing too harsh because I only really did this as a test to see if I could vector a manga scan. ::
