Spike strode through the cemetary trying to clear his head. 'Why is she staying with me if she doesn't want me?' He thought to himself. 'She has no obligation to be with me.' He glanced around looking for something he could beat up and hoped to hell he wouldn't run into the slayer.

Said slayer was currently int he exact spot the vampire did not want her to be. She was out patrolling. It was strange that he would wish that she wasn't there. You would think that if he didn't want to run into her, he should not have gone into the cometary in the first place. But enough about Spike and his coincidental and rather bad luck. The slayer was currently watching a new vampire quite clumsily trying to come from his grave. Looking to her watch, she sighed and looked at the arm wiggling and trying to break out.

"Really, I could be home right now, watching my favorite shows or maybe enjoying a self-redeeming episode of Lost," Buffy muttered as she got bored of this. Grabbing the hand, she ripped the vampire from the ground and stabbed him perfectly through the heart.

Nodding to herself in completion, she looked around, just in case she missed one, which wasn't often and shrugged when she sensed no other. Oh well. That meant it was a quick night. Looking around, she blinked when she heard foot-steps. Taking a defensive stance, she relaxed when she realized who it was. Oh.... it was only Spike.

Spike paused when he saw her. "Oh bloody hell" He groaned and turned away from her. He paused and turned back. "What the hell are you doing here? Wait stupid qusetion. Never mind." He shook his head and turned to walk away again.

Well, it was not like she had anything better to do. Shrugging,s he followed him. With her hands behind her back, she held the stake easily as she followed and caught up with him. Walking beside him, she was actually enjoying putting him in this sort of position. Ever since the chip, he's been so.... easily annoyed. Well, maybe this was a kind of payback for all the annoyance he had become a long time ago. Though, he was a lot worse when Harmony was around. She shivered at the thought.

"So, heard through the grapevine that you have a little pet back at your place," she slayer said easily with a easy smile. There was a bounce in her step as she walked beside the vampire.

Spike smirked. "Was that a hint of jelously I hear in your voice Slayer?" He glanced at her as he walked along the gravel path his hand shoved deep in this pockets.

"Oh you wish," Buffy scoffed as she walked along beside him. The path they were taking was one through the cemetery that Buffy knew by heart. She actually knew just about every inch of the hollowed ground. Watching the vampire that walked beside her, she pretty much understood the truce that had settled between both of them. The slayer had no reason to kill him, and he really would get nothing from killer her, not to mention he couldn't kill her. It was kinda like de-clawing a cat. Making the vampire rather pathetic.

Then again, he could harm her. She had "come back wrong" as he so delicately put it. The slayer could be harmed by the vampire, but he knew better than to piss her off this early in the peace between them.

Spike looked away from her and decided to change the topic. "So hows Nibblet? She still want that tattoo?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 9:23 pm

Buffy chuckled lightly as she just thought of her sister and her still rebellious nature. Dawn had asked about Spike too, but Buffy was pretty sure that that kind of relationship wouldn't go places unless danger was afoot. Rolling her eyes, she looked to him and nodded.

"Still wants the tattoo and still wants to kick a**," the slayer told him with a smirk as she looked around at the atmosphere she'd never want to see Dawn in.

Spike smiled. It wasn't a smirk it was a genuine smile. "Well that's summers women for you. I swear the lot of you hit like a mac truck. Do you remember that one time your mother hit me in the head with that axe. Saw stars when she did that. Left a good dent too."

"Well, that might explain why you are so loopy sometimes," she pointed out in a manner of factly way. Smirking, she continued to follow him, her steps light and her body language relaxed. It wasn't often you'd catch a Buffy in a good enough mood to chat.

"You're in a good mood today. Usually you kick me around tell me you hate me and then leave." He removed his hands from his pockets and subtly moved to walk a little closer to her.

"Yeah, well, life didn't suck so much and you as a punching bag just isn't as fun as it used to be," the slayer answered truthfully as she in turn stuck her hand in her pockets after she slid Mr. Pointy into her jacket. Life was a lot more simple when there were only small baddies to care about.

Spike looked at her hands that she had put into her pockets and in an effort to cover what he was trying to do stuck his hands back in his pockets as well. "Well..." He said awkwardly. "Where does this leave us then?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:10 pm

Buffy blinked and looked to the vampire, raising a brow in question. What did he mean, 'where did it leave them?' The slayer had no idea they were going anywhere. Biting her lip slighlty, she thought of something to say, but everything seemed to die upon her lips.

"I don't know, Spike," she told him truthfully.

Spike blinked a few times before putting up his barrier once again. It's what he hid behind when ever he found himself in a vulnerable spot or was in a situation where he could wind up hurt. After what had happened with Cecily he didn't like talking or opening himself up with others.

"Yeah well... You know if I ever got this chip out of my head I'm still going to kill you right?" 'Why the hell did I say that? Stupid wanker. Did I just call myself a wanker? Am I talking to myself?'
