I think there are certain Christian groups who are getting way too out of hand with their book burning needs; I understand that some books are not exactly pro-Christian; but Harry Potter isn't ANTI-Christian either, it is just a kids book. This is just a fun book that has about as much realism, as children reading the book would probably know, as Hansel and Gretal, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and other such fairy tales.

A book may have themes that are not coordinated with the Christian doctrine, but if you don't want your child to be corrupted by fantastical, childish adventures of an 11 year old boy and a creepy snake man - then tell them it is all a lie before you let them do their homework. Hopefully, your child isn't stupid enough to need that, but in case you think they are, just give it a go.
