Yeah, I know that System of a Down is a completely different style, and genre of music, but they are one of my faves. Is there anyone else here who shares my views? Even if you don't, post your views here, and maybe a good... discussion could begin!

Well Jay, the thread is called "The Battle of the Bands". So anything is fair game, but yeah, Rush beats System of a Down, hands down. HaHa! But yes Seth, I have listened to System and I like some of their songs. After all, I have a 20 yr old daughter, so I like a lot of that type of music. I like Linkin Park and Evanescence too.

I use to like both Linkin Park and Evanescence, but Likin started to annoy me and Evanescence seemed to be borderline emo, and I am emo bane. Here I go again... Man! I go of topic ALOT!!! (lol.. me).

Jay, how can you dis Evanescence? Amy Lee is one of the best vocalists I know of! lol And, yes Shanra, Rush is MUCH better. Easily.

Sethdarksbane Jay, how can you dis Evanescence? Amy Lee is one of the best vocalists I know of! lol And, yes Shanra, Rush is MUCH better. Easily. Amy Lee is a cruddy vocalist. Her singing is airy, piercing, whiny to an extreme, and devoid of any sense of dynamics. That's just my opinion though. System of a Down isn't a bad band, I just don't listen to em much anymore... I'm beginning to drown myself in Jazz and Blues(gotta love the groove and the soul in those styles of music)

jazz is great. some of the best drummers are jazz drummers. my bros tryin to learn, with verry little outcome.
