age: 27 location: Fairbanks, Alaska, USA fabric craft(s) of choice: I quilt, sew the occasional garment, purses, Japanese trinket bags, scarves...whatever strikes me. skill level: lower-intermediate? I'm sure I could handle intermediate level projects just fine, but I usually tend to stick to easier stuff because I'm lazy and loose interest if my project can't be finished fast enough. xd ;; past projects: I've made 5 small quilts (3 lap sized, 1 baby, and 1 cat-sized), and 1 twin http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/Raesha/ze other stuff/crafts/DCFC0049.jpg (heh, twin sized quilt on a queen bed. >.>; ). I don't have pictures of anything else right now, but I've sewn dresses, purses, scarves, shirts, costumes, lots of small bags, a doll, and several small plush items. Other: I collect Japanese fabrics. A quick count revels over 150 different fabrics in my collection (just the Japanese prints).

Oooh, I love the red/white/blue quilt on the white couch, and that red prom dress is beautiful! Did you do all that beading?! I don't have the patience for that. whee ;;

Hi: Yes I did all the beading on the red dress. It was only the second thing I ever beaded and with the exception of a few sprinkled on a blouse or purse...never again. The first thing I beaded was my DD's short blue satin dress with the fringe. I beaded the fringe and somehow two years later I forgot what a pain it was to bead. I have the attention span of a tse tse fly.... so imagine the stress I was under to finish that bodice!
The quilt was a HS graduation present for my DD. It is a lopsided paper-pieced star nestled in a paper pieced wonky log cabin block. I lost my patience with making those blocks so I sashed and set them. The blocks are supposed to creat a secondary pinwheel design and I wanted to make more than just a throw. The quilt is almost full sized.
Thanks sew much for your comments, stm

Hi Rose, nice to have you as we slowly build our member base. ^_^; Though Gaia's main user base is 13-23, there are quite a few older users as well, you just have to look for them (the Gaia Geezer's Guild will probably reveal quite a few).
I'd to see some pictures of your work if you have any. :3

age: 16 location: Iowa fabric craft(s) of choice: I don't really know skill level: Beginning past projects: I have no pictures, but I have made several projects so far. I just recently started sowing, and so far, I have already made 2 quilts, a tree skirt, an apron, oven mitts, pot holders, and I actually forget what else. And I am just about to start another project, a t-shirt quilt for one of my cousins, I just have to find some fabric to go with the squares first.
