So....anyone working on anything right now? I've been bad (and really busy)...I haven't opened my machine in a couple months now. Hey, give me a break, I work full time, attend school, and mod on Gaia! sweatdrop I really need to get my nephew's quilt started. His first birthday is in just a month. It shouldn't take too long because it's fairly small, but it's the first time I've tried this pattern (or really much of a pattern at all (yay squares!)) so I'm not sure how long it'll take me.

I wish I had a sewing machine. gonk I want to try quilting, and it'd be nice to give my rats nice-looking things to chew up, as well as being able to make interesting hammocks/tubes/etc.

Watch on Craig's List and at garage sales, you can probably find a decent older machine for a fair price. :3 I got mine--complete with table that it folds into--for only $50. Sure it's really old (as evidenced by the avacado green color xd ; ), but it works fairly well. :3

Raesha Watch on Craig's List and at garage sales, you can probably find a decent older machine for a fair price. :3 I got mine--complete with table that it folds into--for only $50. Sure it's really old (as evidenced by the avacado green color xd ; ), but it works fairly well. :3 Awww! Your sewing machine is awesome! I have a simple singer I got abotu 5 years ago from walmart.

Hello everyone! I'm new here. I love to sow, even though I just recently started sowing earlier last year, I'm actually not to bad at sowing. Although it did take me a few weeks to learn to even sow a straight line on a sowing machine xp I am also a fabric scrap pack rat some people might say, I keep any fabric thats big enough to make something out of, lol. Some people think thats kind of stupid though, But thats just their opinion, and really, I just don't really care what they think. By the way, anyone know of any good Ideas on a good way to use up scraps, lol, my room is being took over by fabric scraps, I have an entire garbage bag full of it, and have the box that my sowing machine came in completely full of fabric to.

Sure it's really old (as evidenced by the avacado green color xd ; ), but it works fairly well. :3 Oh, I keep an eye out. xd My hesitation with older ones is I don't know how easy it is to really -use- them, or learn to rather, and most either don't have the manuals, or they don't know if they work or not. gonk There's a really neat Singer shop right next to an awesome quilting shop in town. I just doubt I'll buy a new sewing machine until I do a bit on an old one. xd
