Gaia Name: Aerene Appearance: Name: Maris Aimo Age: 13 Bloodline: Half-Blood Year at Hogwarts: 3 Class Specialty: Divination/Astronomy Wand Type: 10", Rosewood, Kelpie Hair Broomstick: Paladin 2X House: Ravenclaw Animal/Pet: Northern Hawk Owl (Lin) Personality: Preferring the company of animals or books, Maris is most comfortable being left alone to her own devices. Though she can communicate to people intelligently, she tends to come off as shy quiet type. Her personality would have developed more flamboyantly had she not been tormented by her cousins as a child. Though she comes to class well prepared, her mind tends to wander off easily and she daydreams often. Fortune tellers and diviners often tell her that she has an enormous amount of luck but her luck seems to be relatively average. Maris is also not the type of person to go into dangerous situations on her own. However, if someone she cares about goes into a bad situation, she will usually follow to back them up. Bio: Maris is the only child of a young chinese muggle nurse and a welsh wizard. Due to reasons unknown, her father and mother divorced when she was only two years of age. Many of her father's family believed it was because the muggle found out that she had married a wizard. Her father retained custody of the child and moved back into Europe, where he left the girl to be raised alongside her cousins while he worked. It was common for her cousins to look upon the girl with disdain because of her blood was not pure like theirs. Growing up was a pain for the girl, who was always looked down upon by her other family members. It was no wonder that she began to hide herself away, excluding the rare instances where her father came home. She often stayed in the family's library and became extremely interested in astrology and divination before even being accepted into Hogwarts. She has enjoyed herself during her time at the magic school and currently serves as Ravenclaw's 'keeper' during Quidditch matches and was recruited during her second year by recommendation of the previous keeper. In the way of studies, Maris seems to be naturally gifted with magic, but needs to study hard with potions. Extra: Her father was a Gryffindor when he was attending Hogwarts and hated Quidditch. These two differences seem to be the only two things the parent and child seem to argue about. Maris is also adept at water spells and hexes. Birthday is February 29th. Gaia Name: Aerene Appearance: Name: Sorin Aurelius Age: 15 Bloodline: Pureblood Year at Hogwarts: 5 Class Specialty: N/A Wand Type: 12.5", Oak, Phoenix Feather Broomstick: Dragon Claw House: Slytherin Animal/Pet: Spotted Eagle-Owl (Ciaran) Personality: Sorin is the type of person who does what he wants, when he wants. Power and control are amongst the top things he must have at all times. Despite this, he won't show what he's thinking bluntly. If someone decides to disrespect him in anyway, he will most likely play it cool until the right time and pay them back with interest. Aside from his own house, he's not nice to anyone. In his own house, the friends that he makes are amongst the only things he would die for (though from the way he treats them sometimes, it's hard to believe so). He detests anything less than pure wizard blood and will go out of his way to make life miserable for any he deems extra annoying. Bio: The eldest of four children, Sorin has a set of younger twin sisters that are about 10 years younger than he is and a younger twin that died when the family still lived in Romania. His family is one of the older and prouder wizarding families, along with one of the richer. All of the males were housed in Slytherin, as well as a great deal of their wives (though his mother was from Ravenclaw). When Sorin was accepted, it was no different for the boy and he was confident that he was going to be in the house even before he was on the train to the school during his first year. During his years at school, he's remained the top student in his house and year. Though he doesn't have a class he particularly excels in, he's gifted with exceptional talent that keeps him from having to spend too much time studying or trying. He does, however, have a small interest in runes and takes the class. Because of his studies, he has been recruited (begrudgingly) as a prefect. Aside from studies, Sorin also plays as a Beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team, despite his somewhat lean appearance. His hits are not quite as hard as the other Beater on the team but he can get to bludgers quickly and hit them fairly accurately. Extra: The eye color of the boy is odd and is similar to his mother's eyes. A proper pupil can be found within the iris. The iris, itself, is strange in that it's mostly moon silver in color but there are flecks of gold within them. Sorin also plays the muggle stock market for fun during summers when he's not doing much. Amazingly, he's pretty successful. Birthday is December 23rd. Gaia Name: Aerene Appearance: Name: Avelyn Oberon Age: 16 Bloodline: Muggle-born Year at Hogwarts: 6 Class Specialty: Defense Against the Dark Arts Wand Type: 13.72", Elder, Chimaera Scale Broomstick: Firebolt 3000 House: Gryffindor Animal/Pet: Blue Somali (Cyan) Personality: Avelyn has a rebellious personality and if someone tells her to do something, she'll try to figure out how to do the exact opposite. This particular trait has gotten her into a ton of trouble but it has also made her particularly fearless. She's willing to give anything at least one try. It is also her rebellious personality that has her particularly interested in the 'bad boys' of Slytherin, despite most of them being purebloods and not wanting to have anything to do with her. Though she won't come to the aid of most people when they're being bullied, Avelyn is loyal to her friends and tends to get into fights for their sakes, even if it's somewhat trivial. Bio: Though Avelyn was born to a muggle family in London, she had always believed that magic was all around her. Strangely enough though, she never believed in wizards or witches, claiming that they were a myth when she was a child. She believed that she had caught glimpses of magical creatures as a child but there was never any definitive proof of such things. Her parents told her she was being silly and her older siblings always insisted that she get her head out of the clouds. Needless to say, when she got her letter to Hogwarts at the age of 11, her entire family was against it. The girl had to go to extreme measures to actually get into the school during her first year. It was her "uncle" who helped her get into the school and currently houses her during the summers. Though called her uncle, the man is not related to her mother by blood at all and was adopted by the family in order to have a male heir. In school, the girl is exceptional good with most classes, but struggles to keep a passing grade in potions, history of magic, and divination. She can never seem to do the recipes in potions correctly, doesn't understand the use of divination, and has an extremely hard time sitting through the history of magic lectures without falling asleep at least once. Halfway into her third year, she was recruited to become a temporary seeker for the Quidditch team because their own seeker went out of commission for a while. It wasn't until her fifth year that she was asked to permanently join the team. Extra: Despite the legal age of riding a motorcycle being 17 in Britain, Avelyn has been riding since she was about 14 years of age. Being a rule-breaking child, she has become an Animagus since her fourth year at Hogwarts. Her animal is that of a melanistic fox. Her wand is an irregular and rare wand; had it possessed a different core, the wand would have been trashed. Birthday is December 21st. Gaia Name: Aerene Appearance: Name: Cael Lupin Age: 28 Bloodline: Half-blood Position: Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Wand Type: 13", Alder, Thestral Hair Animal/Pet: Albino Phoenix (Art) Personality: Despite being an auror, Cael has a very laid-back, lackadaisical personality. He tends to go through life at face value and worries about problems when they come up. If and when a problem comes up, he's very quick-witted and, if he can, prefers to take the "path of least resistance." People wishing to speak with him usually need to be prepared with a decent amount of patience. His moony personality does tend to make him forget items and when he's teaching, he can drift off into a daydream in the middle of a sentence. If he could make money by laying in the grass and daydreaming, he would surely quit both being a professor and being an auror. Bio: Grandson of Ted Lupin, Cael Lupin is both a professor at Hogwarts and a trained Auror. He is technically on-call at all times of the year, but he was specifically asked to be a professor at Hogwarts so he is only called during extreme emergencies. This is his first year teaching at Hogwarts. When he was a student at Hogwarts, he was housed in Ravenclaw, much to the surprise of many of his teachers during the years. He did not achieve anything particularly amazing and he also did not play Quidditch. Despite all of this, he was a brilliant student and excelled in more complex spells. Quite frankly though, he cannot handle simple things in almost any area. Simple math, commonly domesticated animals, and a good deal of basic spells are in the list of items that he does not do well with. Extra: Art is an albino phoenix and instead of the normal crimson-orange plumage, he has a silver-saffron plumage. On his "Burning Day" he bursts into blue-white flames. His Tonks Lineage has helped him to inherit the Metamorphmagus bloodline. Birthday is April 1st. Ae's Note: Cael's personality (regarding the moony comment) was totally unintentional. I had his personality thought out before I was looking up synonyms. His personality and me taking a placement test with his personality in mind came out as ravenclaw which is also a coincidence concerning his photo.

I'm about to post! Watch me~Avelyn Oberon
"Oi, we never see you around anymore," a male with extremely short platinum colored hair that stuck out against his red face. Like everyone else around, he was near his motorcycle and wore clothes that made him look irritated. "Ah~ shut yet trap," Avelyn spoke in a somewhat rude tone, sitting against her own bike with what looked to be an unmarked beer bottle in her hands, "What I do an' where I go ain't none ya biz'nez." The male glowered at the female but there was nothing that he could really do about it aside from that. In truth, the girl had stopped going to the schools that she should have been going to the year she turned eleven. It wasn't that she had dropped out or moved far away. She had been attending a wizard's school called Hogwarts. If any of her old friends were told that, they would probably laugh and claim the girl to be off her rocker, along with the wizarding world getting on her case. It had been a little over fiver years since she had started going there and after the summer days ended, she would be in her sixth year. "Tomorrow's the last day beh'for summa break's end. We should have a party," a girl with dark red lipstick spoke, leaning on her own bike. "Sorry, can't," Avelyn spoke up again with a small smile on her face, "I have to catch the train teh get to that boardin' school my uncle's sendin me to." "Whut? That agin?" the girl spoke, looking annoyed by the words from the other, "Ye should just not go..." Avelyn chuckled, throwing her soft mink hair over her shoulder with a hand. "Nah, it's cool. There're some talents lurking about," the girl responded, a grin prominent on her face. The chatting between friends seemed to go on for hours but Avelyn did finally managed to get back to the place she called home during the summers. It was a large manor that belonged to her mother's adopted brother, her uncle. The car missing from the large driveway told her that the older man was most likely at work, something that was not terribly uncommon. As the girl walked through the door of the house, a minature puma seemed to rush from another room, running straight towards the girl. It's bright yellow eyes looked up at her as the animal rubbed against her leg, silently begging to be handled. "Hey, Cy," Avelyn cooed softly, struggling to walk over to a table to put her helmet down. The cat seemed to rub around her legs the entire time, which was the cause of her struggle. When the helmet was set down though, the teen bent down and picked up her somali, nuzzling it. "We're going to go back to school again. Are you ready?"

I'm about to post! Watch me~Maris Aimo
It was not like many of the days during the summer after Maris completed her second year at Hogwarts. As she walked around in Diagon Alley, she could tell that it was going to be a special day; she could just tell. Her aunt was walking around elsewhere with her cousins, getting items for school while she finished up getting her own things. When she finished getting many of her items, she headed over towards Flourish and Blotts to get the textbooks that she would need for the new semester that was coming up in less than a week. This year she would be allowed to take divination and it was one of the subjects that she was looking forward to the most. Being around books made the young teenager feel at home, usually closing herself within the confines of her family's library, where her cousins would not bother her. Finding the books that she needed was easy enough and before long, she had all of her things and was heading towards the door of the bookstore. It should have only taken a couple of steps had it not been for someone bumbling around with a rather large stack of books and running straight into the girl, creating a dangerous hail. Maris had attempted to keep from being too badly bumped by the falling books but a few had hit her painfully. "Ah- Sorry! Sorry!" a young male's voice started, sounding somewhat rushed as a large hand touched the girl's shoulder, "Are you alright? Not too badly bruised are you?" "N-... No..." the girl whispered softly, starting to pick up books as though she had been the one to drop them. Her jade colored eyes never bothered to look towards the man that she had bumped into. "Ah- you don't need to do that! I'll pick them up!" the male's voice insisted, pulling the girl from the books and prying the book in her hand away from her. Being pulled away from the floor, Maris was able to get a good look at the young man. He was tall and somewhat on the thin side with fawn hair and eyes. His skin looked soft as well though he seemed to have a somewhat aggitated look to his face. "S-Sorry..." the girl spoke, looking away from the young man with a pink tint to her cheeks. "You don't need to apologize! You didn't do anything wrong, did you?" the male asked, picking up a few books from the floor. "S-Sorry..." the girl spoke again, embarrassed. The male laughed at her, leaning on the stack of books that had already been made. "I said you don't need to apologize," the man spoke to her before gathering up the rest of the books and taking about half of the pile, "I guess I should have not been carrying so many, right?" A soft, amused smile appeared on the girl's face as she nodded to the male. "Perhaps," she responded, unconsciously taking the rest of the pile. "You don't have to do that." "Ah... It's alright. I have some time," the girl spoke pleasantly though there were still hints of her blush. Though most would be mad after being bumped into and then being knocked up by books, Maris hadn't felt any anger at all about the incident. She knew it was an accident and there was really nothing that she could do. "But I work here so I could get in trouble for letting you do something like that." "It's not a problem! Really!" the girl insisted. The male didn't argue too much with the girl, instead heading off in the direction that he had been going before with Maris a couple feet behind him. It wasn't long before he was able to take the book stack from her safely. "Your parents will be worried, I'm sure. Why don't you go back to them now?" the man asked, looking at the girl after he had taken the books from her. "They wouldn't miss me at the moment," the girl spoke softly, looking at the ground, "Besides, I feel comfortable here." The man seemed to laugh at the girl again, before ruffling her hair. "Well, you should head back anyway," he told her, "They'll miss you eventually if you never show up." "Al-Alright," the girl spoke, blushing again with a smile on her face, "Goodbye." "Byebye." Maris left Flourish and Blotts finally, walking through Diagon Alley with a far-off look on her face as well as a smile. The man had been enjoyable to be around with and he hadn't even teased her about her soft voice as her cousins often did. Though it was a stretch, she wished that she could meet him once more...
Back at Flourish and Blotts, the young man seemed to be smiling as well. "What a nice child... I wonder if all of the students at Hogwarts will be like her," the young man spoke to himself. Though Maris didn't know it, the man would be acting as librarian for his first year when the week ended.

I'm about to post! Watch me~Sorin Aurelius
"Wow~ Brother was-" "-promoted to prefect!" two small blonde girls spoke together. Their hands were clasped together and they were following around an older, taller male with smiles on their faces. "He'll definitely teach those-" "-stupid mudbloods who's on top!" It would have been a shocker to hear the twin girls speaking in public but in the Aurelius household, it was fairly common for rude remarks about those who did not have pure wizarding blood running through their veins. Sorin seemed to pay no mind to his younger siblings, looking at pieces of papers in his hand. He had decided to play the muggle stock market again that summer since the only thing he really had going on were formal dinner parties with other families. Aside from the game with money, he had gone out to buy several different kinds of brooms and new robes for the new school year. He had grown quite a bit and it was bothersome to wear a robe that was a couple of inches shorter than it should be. Sure, maybe other poorer people could deal with something like that or go get it altered, but it was bothersome for the young man. "Pollona, Artemis, go get me something to drink," Sorin spoke without even looking at the girls. He meant for the girls to go find a servant to go get him something to drink. The girls merely giggled and ran off, going off to do what their older brother had told them to do. School would be starting up in exactly two days and it seemed that the time was going even slower than it normally was... Still, it would not be long before he would be able to mess around with runes and smack bludgers into others. Granted that with the runes, he would also have to suffer through the rest of his classes.

I'm about to post! Watch me~Cael Lupin
"Good work today!" a short but cheerful-looking witch spoke with a large smile on her face. The sun could be setting on the ceiling of the underground building, showing how it was outside. A young looking male with hair the color of raw sienna merely smiled a the witch, though his slate colored eyes seemed to be gazing at the hues of soft orange and red that was on the ceiling. "Yes, we'll need to do it again sometime," the man spoke airly. The woman laughed, sounding like a horse swallowing a frog. "Yes, yes, we'll eat honey cakes next time we meet," the woman spoke, "But I was referring to the troublemakers you caught beforehand." "Ah, yes, of course..." the man spoke, the distant but friendly tone fading as the man wandered into his own thoughts. The witch laughed again, shaking her head at the man. It seemed as though he was always like that, even if they were to go up against an incredibly tough opponent. He was nothing like his grandfather, but instead took after what seemed to be similar to his late great-grandfather. "Now dear, you should go catch that train! It would be a pity if you missed it again!" the woman spoke, beaming up at the man. Cael was famous as an auror, at least within their own ranks, but he was also a teacher at the famous Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Granted that his first year teaching there, he had missed the train by half an hour and did not get to enjoy the Great Banquet. This would be his second year teaching at the school, which seemed to be a great accomplishment. Many wizards stopped teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts every year. There was no real trick or curse to the job, not that Cael had seen at the very least. Still, he would much rather be going home to sleep than trying to catch the train. If he missed the great gobs of food, it would mean that he would be somewhat hungry until the morning once more. As he stepped out of the building, a soft fluttering of wings sounded and talons fell onto the man's shoulder, digging into his robes just slightly. Silver feathers with golden tips brushed against the man's face as the large bird on the man's shoulder tried to balance itself out. "Another year, another earning, eh Art?" the man spoke with a lazy smile on his face. It wouls be interesting to see the first years and meet up with the students from the previous years, even if he never would remember their names.

Gaia Name: Aerene Appearance: (- wrist watch) Name: Zeru Sullivan Age: 42 Bloodline: Pureblood Position: Headmaster Wand Type: 11", Yew, Nundu Tooth/Fang Personality: He's calm in most situations, not getting angry or frustrated outwardly even in the most intense situations. However, he cannot handle public humiliation or being threatened physically/magically. His temper is extremely fierce during those times and he tends to cause a massive amount of damage and has to be restrained by his peers. As time as passed, he has gained some control of his temper but it still remains quite violent. Many people would consider him to be soft-spoken (when he's not angry) and he tends not to say too much out-loud (though his thoughts are an entirely different matter). He is extremely loyal to those he finds worthy enough to be close to him and enemies are scarce. He has a great dislike of vampires and werewolves but that may, or may not, be because of his time in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Bio: An American by birth, Zeru went to the best American wizarding school that his parents could find. Because of this, he can never truly be classified into one of the houses within Hogwarts; though if he had to, he's be in Gryffindor. The house he was put into, in the American school, was called Gytrash, a spectral dog. In the school Gytrash was supposed to be the house with the largest expectations upon them, being famous through-out the US as the future seers. Unlike most of the students in Gytrash, Zeru possessed little, if any, divining abilities and, needless to say, did not become a seer. Instead, his life was abounding with near-death encounters, including an experience of helping to take down a nundu in his 20's. He took the largest tooth of the nundu that he helped to take down and fashioned it into a wand made with yew wood. Since ordering the wand, Zeru has managed to get into fewer near-death experiences but still faces them frequently. He moved to England in his 30's when his current job in the America's Ministry of Magic relocated him from their Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures to the British Ministry of Magic's Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures. During his stay in Britain, he has switched many times within the Ministry, being changed whenever the Minister of Magic felt the need to do so. About four years ago, the previous Headmaster of Hogwarts finally retired, being the son of Harry Potter, and Zeru was asked to enter in his place due to his extensive career history and experience. Extra: His birthday is February 29th. He has never been married but he was very popular in his younger days. People close to him jokingly call him "Zero." He has several scars along his chest area as well as a scar that runs most of the way down his right leg from his days in the Ministry. The Nundu is a giant leopard in Africa that is considered the most dangerous creature in the magical community, needing at least 100 skilled wizards to take it down (compared to an agitated dragon with only 10 wizards), that causes disease and death. Yew is known as a tree of death.
