NAME OF LOCATION - Tauri Leonis DESCRIPTION - Tauri Leonis is named after the system itself. It is a warm, calm, and very relaxing planet for the most part, and easily fits into the prime M Class world that can harbor life. The planet is covered in shallow seas and coral reefs that are teeming with aquatic creatures. Thus, the inhabitants of this world rely almost exclusively on ocean life for food and supplies. There are deeper seas in the southern hemisphere that harbor gigantic oceanic creatures as well, making this planet an amazing place to visit or study for scientists. The Planet has a single moon that orbits at a rate of approximately 45 Earth Days for a single pass around the planet. The moon, named Tauri Sartanus, is darkened by red and gold deposits on its surface which are made of sulfur, pyrite, and iron oxide, suggesting that there may have once been liquid water on the surface of this orbiting body before it evaporated into space, and the sulfur and pyrite formations suggest that the moon may have once been geologically active with volcanic activity as well. LOCATION - Tauri Leonis is located in Sector H-14 PEOPLE - The people of Tauri Leonis are quite friendly. Their nostrils are located near the top of their foreheads, suggesting an aquatic, air-breathing relative sometime in their genetic past. This is made more apparent by the very small amount of webbing that appears near the dip in the fingers and toes, however this is residual, and their fingers are well evolved for acting independently. Their skin is somewhat similar to that of a Cardassian in that certain areas of their body have scales, similar to those of a fish, but these are only present along the forearms, eyebrows, shoulders and knees. They are skilled fisherman, and live in tropical areas across most of the planet. CLIMATE - Tropical and temperate. A majority of the planet is tropical in nature, but only gets freezing near the poles, with a small temperate zone that extends about a quarter of the way down the planet to the large tropical region along the equator. This is due to the many shallow seas as they absorb more heat and therefore create more humidity and rain across the middle section of the planet. Of course, this also leads to powerful storm systems during the hotter months of the year as the weather patterns pick up that moisture and distribute it across the equatorial region. RESOURCES - Tauri Leonis has little in the way of resources for a space-faring civilization, but their main export is fish, and the tropical climate and heavy rains create a multitude of different fruit and plants for food as well. However, due to the perfect tropical climate that surrounds the planet, much of the coastline has been turned into a multitude of resorts and hotels, not unlike the resorts of Riza. Some even claim that Tauri Leonis rivals Riza for the number one vacation spot in the known universe. But, no matter its standing, Tauri Leonis is the best place for a vacation in the Beta Quadrant. ASTRONOMICAL DATA - The other planets of the Tauri Leonis system are not worth mentioning to any ship passing through. They are barren worlds that are hardly worth taking a look at. However, there is a large asteroid field that may offer a good hiding place for any ships on the run. These asteroids are simple rock, and have no real value to anyone. All in all, the system is very peaceful, not unlike Tauri Leonis itself.

The Raven dropped out of warp, approaching the blue planet at impulse speed, under cloak, to enter its orbit.
"What've we got, Bryce?" asked Grim Magnus, captain of the Raven. He looked more like a soldier than the captain of a starship, with a brawny build and fair skin, wearing a flak coat. His head was shaved and he had a dark, stubble beard, in need of some grooming.
Bryce was the opposite of the captain, younger, leaner, and looking like he would fit more in place on a Federation starship than at the helm of a Klingon Bird of Prey. He sat at the helmsman console in front of the captain, but moved over to the navigation console to get the sensor readings.
"M Class planet with indigenous lifeforms. No signs of any significant technological advancement. Tropical climates throughout most of the planet. One moon, but nothing on it," he replied as he read the initial scans.
"Sounds good. Anything on long-range?" Grim asked.
"Just us, captain," Bryce replied, looking back at Grim with a grin. Looks like they found a break.
"Good. Maintain orbit and run a few more scans, make sure there isn't anything down there we should have to be prepared to fight. We could use a vacation."
"Ugh. Finally," said the female Vulcan sitting at the science station's console. "I'm tired of this stink. Isn't there anything we can do about that?"
Her remark was aimed at the grim-looking Klingon sitting in front of the weapons station, who merely shot a nasty look back and snarled at her.
"A few days down there, and I'll bet you'll start missing it, T'Araria," the captain responded with a laugh.
T'Araria was the token Vulcan science officer, with the exception that she acted anything but Vulcan. She had forsaken the traditions of her people and opened herself to experiencing emotions and everything that came along with them, resulting in a feisty female with the mannerisms of a free-spirited human, but the intellect of any common Vulcan one would come across at any time. It made her highly attractive to any male - too bad she only expressed romantic interests in other females.
The Klingon was Mor'tah D'earth, the only surviving member of the ship's previous crew. Like the rest of the former crew, who Grim had known as well, Mor'tah found the life of space piracy more free and enjoyable than having to follow the strict edicts and honor codes of the Klingon Empire, so he chose to continue serving as the ship's chief security officer rather than taking his life. He usually kept to himself or with the captain, as the other two were new crew members picked up by Grim in his attempts to rejuvenate the crew's depleted numbers and had yet to prove themselves to him.

Raven began its descent some minutes later, entering the atmosphere. The ship swooped down upon an ocean of trees and water, the latter of which had small boats scattered about, catching fish. Since the Raven was cloaked, no one on the surface would be the wiser that a ship just entered the planet. It landed in a clearing on a small jungle island, just big enough for the ship to land in, where the cloaking device was finally deactivated and engines were powered down.
"Alright, let's have a look around," Grim said. "Keep your communicators on and don't stray too far from the ship. I'd say avoid the natives, but I know you won't listen."

SS Redemption. Terran Uprising Force Fleet. Commander Kelvinar Commaning.
Right outside the system, Kelvinar had the cloaked dropped and the shields raised to full power. Furthermore, both Runabouts were brought out of the Redemption's Shuttlebay, decloaked, and brought up to speed with the Redemption. He wanted all four ships to be able to provide support for this moon. There was no telling how much it had continued to destabilize during their long trek out into the Tauri Leonis System. Kelvinar was not about to let a massive hunk of rock fly into a planet at high speeds and kill off millions and millions of organisms and millions of different species. That was never the way to go. Staring up at the sky and watching your death loom in your face. Kelvinar was not about to let that come anywhere close to happening.
There were multiple flashes of light as the small fleet warped into the system. All of them began doing intense scans immediately. Where one might not have found something, another picked it up instantly. Soon, the fleet had a highly detailed and indepth scan of the region in moments. Data, telemetry, speed, velocity, direction, mass, everything was pouring through the computers of the small fleet as they identified and tagged every object in space that might interfere with their mission. They were part of the Terran Uprising Forces Faction, Terran Forces, for short, and they weren't about to let anything going wrong.
"Get me the SS Star Falcon on screen," ordered Commander Kelvinar. He had just had enough time to get to the bridge to see everyone drop out of warp. Just ahead, the SS Bolter drifted sluggishly through space, keeping pass with the fleet. "I want you to support our tractor on the moon by keeping close. The Runabouts will monitor the situation and keep a look out. We've detected the Ion trails of quite a few vessels and since they haven't tried to help, I'm being cautious." He said as the link carried his words across the expanse of space to the SS Star Falcon...

Grim led Bryce and T'Araria out into the jungle, leaving Mor'tah to watch over the ship. He wasn't one for adventuring, so he stayed on board and kept watch over the sensors. If anything came up, he would contact the captain immediately. That wouldn't take long.
Meanwhile, Grim and Bryce were slicing giant leaves out of their way to make a path while T'Araria took sensor readings of the immediate vicinity.
"Captain, there are multiple humanoid readings ahead of us. Could be a colony," she said.
Grim acknowledged her with a nod, and soon saw the outskirts of a village up ahead. It was a primitive fishing village, from the looks of it. The humanoids in question looked like a cross between a human, a frog, and a fish, with greyish toned skin and nostrils near the top of their foreheads.
"They look friendly," Grim noted.
"Captain," came Mor'tah's voice over the communicator.
"Go ahead, Mor'tah."
"Long-range has picked up several vessels dropping out of warp just outside of the system."
"s**t. Cloak the ship and keep monitoring them. Hopefully, they're just passing by."
"Trouble, captain?" Bryce asked.
"Vacation might be cut short, kids."

After having Aran raise shields and power weapons after coming out of warp, Tene'cha nods to Sirur to answer the hail from the Redemption. After hearing the Commander out, Tene'cha nods, then says, "We have also picked up the trails, one seems to be a lot more stable, meaning a lot newer than the others.. so a possibility that the vessel or vessels are still in the vicinity..." Looking over the data on a side screen, Tene'cha says, "We will be doing some fast tuning of our tractors for maximum effect in assisting the Redemption..." giving a slight chuckle, Tene'cha says at the last comment made by Kelvinar, "Only a fool enters a Thraai's lair unprepared..." Disconnecting the comm, he flips the intercomm, calling engineering. When Colt answers, he says, "we have the current data from a detailed scan and analysis of the moon. Sending it down to you now so you can get to work fine tuning..." After the Cheif engineer acknowledged, Tene'cha disconnects, and nods to Sirur to send the information.. Turning his attention back to the screen, he has a thought. Activating the intercomm again, he pages Ensign Young's room, and says, "Please report to the bridge, Ensign..." Clicking the intercomm off, he stares through the view on the screen, currently showing the sunlit planet, and the glowing moon, seeming to be frozen in space, yet the distances were decieving, as he knows just how close the moon is getting to the planet...

SS Redemption. Terran Uprising Force Fleet. Commander Kelvinar Commanding.
Commander Jefferson grinned at the last comment by Commander Tene'cha. He smiled and nodded to himself as he spoke. "Very wise words, that one." He said as he caught Commander Kelvinar's eyes. They both nodded and smiled at the other. Their personalities contrasted so much. Kelvinar was a soft man, who had a compassionate and caring heart for others. He was a charismatic leader that inspired his troops with his gently demeanor but rallied them with his heart felt motivational speeches. He was a powerful man in both his tongue and fist. He had trained himself personally. However, instead of having large, bulky muscles, his were more slim and compact.
Commander Jefferson was a rough man that excelled in combat both outwardly and inwardly. His physical appearance gave the illusion of having immense physical strength. But this illusion was not broken like water, for this illusion was real. He had a strict workout routine and often trained others. Thus, he was the man to take on Away missions. He loved to explore. He'd walk into a den of Targs if it meant that no one else had done it before him. He'd walk in blind folded knowing that there were targs in there.
The three Federation make ships drifted for, what seemed like a few moments before the SS Redemption rocketed forward to the moon to get into tractor range. The two Runabouts, the SS Bolter and SS Blazer, moved off in separate directions on either side of the Nova Class at a comfortable one thousand kilometers. Their job was easy. Scan and watch. If anything came into their sensors, it'd be picked up quickly. Though, getting close enough to fire without four ships detecting you even under cloak was risky...

Ensign Timonthy Young wasn't startled by the order to get to the bridge. He had expected to be called their soon. So, instead of resting and getting some needed sleep, he stayed awake and began reading an old favorite book of his. It was only a technical manual, but if you were gonna read something and enjoy it, then only way to make the situation even better was by learning something at the same time. So, hence the manual.
He had only gotten in a chapter or two when the call came for him to report to the bridge. He put down his book, turned out the lights and left for the bridge. He didn't bother locking the door to his quarters. He had personally installed a recording identification on his door. He was hoping his new Commander would come by to see it later that day and be impressed, but duties called him to the bridge in preparation for the mission. Now, for some reason, the Ensign was going to be involved with that mission.
He was excited...

SS- Star Falcon
Tene'cha turns as the lift opens and Ensign Young enters. Giving a nod, Tene'cha says, "Mr. Young, Please take the science station there..." He points to a terminal close to the lift, then says, "I would like to see how well you multitask... I would like you to monitor communications from the planet, decoding as necessary, and monitor the moon's grav/magnetic output and integrity, sending correction data as needed to the Redemption and the Star Falcon's tractor controls. All current and planned data is available from the terminal to use as reference as needed..." Tene'cha hides a smile while he gauges the Ensign's reaction to the sudden heavy workload...

With the sudden new arrivals, Grim had a crucial decision to make: stick to the plan and get what they needed, or get out of Dodge before they were discovered. It wasn't like they had bounties on their heads, but a ragtag skeleton crew with a human captain in charge of a Klingon warship would probably raise a lot of suspicion. At least the ship was cloaked.
"Captain?"
While Grim was debating to himself what their next move should be, T'araria and Bryce were scouting the village. It seemed to be more advanced than they initially thought. The villagers weren't using mere wooden boats to go out into the water and fish - they looked more like hovercrafts. They had told the captain of their observations, and it seemed the next step was clear.
"Right. Follow my lead then."
They walked out of the bushes and into the outskirts of the village. They were immediately noticed, but thankfully, the villagers weren't hostile. They practically marched right up into the center of the village, amidst curious stares. Eventually, someone came out to meet them, and judging by the aged appearance and gilded cape, must be the village's leader.
"I'm Captain Magnus of the rogue trader ship, Raven. We come here seeking some rest and relaxation after our long journey through the Beta Quadrant."
"Welcome," said the elder, "I am Calixis, chief of this village. You will find what you seek here, so long as you do not bring any hostility into our humble community. We are but a simple fishing village."
"My ship is in need of supplies - food and water. We will gladly trade in exchange for what ever you have," Grim said.
"I thought we were pirates," Bryce whispered to T'sararia, "Can't we just take what we need and go?"
"I think that was the original plan," she whispered back, "but the captain probably had to make changes since Mor'tah's call."
"Well, we have plenty of both," Calixis said to Grim, "unless you're not fans of seafood. Come, come, I will show you around."

SS Redemption. Terran Uprising Force Fleet. Commander Kelvinar Commanding.
"Bring us in easy Lieutenant. I don't want these magnetic fields screwing us over," Commander Jefferson commented as he watched the SS Redemption be taken into a close proximity with Tauri Leonis's moon. The woman sulked at the comment, obviously offended by the lack of trust given her by her Commander.
Commander Kelvinar hide a smirk from this comment. He himself had full confidence in the navigator that was bringing in the Redemption. It was the same woman that had attempted to hit on Kelvinar a while back. Regardless of her beauty and the fact that she was available, Commander Kelvinar had watched her whenever she piloted the ship. She was careful with the ship. She always checked the calculations once herself and let the computer check them a second time. If she had reason to doubt the calculations, she would have the computer check it a second time. Usually, her calls were correct.
The large moon loomed in front of them now. Its dull, grey mass seemed to be suspended in its position when, in reality, the SS Redemption was just in a geosynchronous orbit with the planet below and with the moon above. This position wrecked havoc on the Nova's sensors. Both magnetic poles of the planet began to work against the Nova's sensors. After a few recalibrations, the was ready to start with the tractoring. They opened up a data link with the SS Star Falcon and started feeding in telemetry and other data in order to supliment their efforts.

Ensign Timonthy Young's face perked up in surprise for a moment. He turned to the station and examined it. It was all ready. There was no turning back. The Ensign made a joking face and saluted his Commanding Officer and nodded. "Yes, sir!" His boots clinked as he marched over to his terminal and began his work. Pulling up multiple sub-screens, he created a personalized work "desk" to his liking. All the information would go to its own display screen. Communications had a decoding program and a text box to allow him to decode if a signal proved too strong for his own simple decoding program.
The moon's gravitational and magnetic output were hosted together in a simple bar graph chart. The highs and lows being recorded and saved with the current output in the center so as to allow him to easily compare the differences. Finally, he completed his third window with the tractor beam protocols. He tied it in directly with the SS Star Falcon's impressive sensor grid. He sent his first data package to the SS Redemption to test the connection, he received and response and saved it. As the SS Star Falcon's tractor beam powered up and fired, he received, from the sensors, G-Force and pressure data from the tractor beam's power on the ground. He quickly sent the SS Redemption a second location to tractor for maximum efficiency and keeping the moon together as much as possible.
"Redemption's Science Officer and I have drafted up a nice little new orbit for the moon with corrections from the last one. If this works, they shouldn't have to worry about something like this ever again and should enjoy a moon with a much brighter resolution, making nights twice as beautiful, sir." He said smiling...

Tene'cha looks thoughtfully at the Ensign, before asking, "There could be one or two complications... Have you checked simulations of the long term tidal impact on the planet for the new positioning of the moon?" He says this with a soft smile, partially to test the ensign's resolve, and also to test to see how thorough the planning was...

"Captain," Mor'tah called over the communicator. "Magnus here. What's up?" "I think you better get back to the ship. Sensors are picking up weird activity from our new guests." "What? What's going on?" "It's better for you to come and see for yourself." They were in the middle of the village tour still, with Calixis, going over the specifications of the hovercraft fishing boats they used. The technology wasn't much too different from that of a starship, only smaller and more simple. It was something to ponder over. "Sorry to cut our visit short, chief, but it appears we need to return to our ship," Grim said. "We'll be back if it isn't too urgent." "You have a ship?" asked one of the fishermen who had been showing them the hovercraft. "Mind if I tag along and check it out? I've never seen a starship up close before." "Yeah, sure. Whatever. Let's get moving, people." * * * "This is not good," T'araria said grimly as she looked over the sensor logs. "They're trying to change the moon's orbit for whatever reason. It'll wreak havoc on this planet if it shifts more than a few degrees. Whoever these guys are, they're not Federation." Grim stood behind her, taking it all in. Damn, just when I thought I found a good spot to hide out in, someone has to come and ******** my plans all up, he thought to himself. "What are we up against?" he asked. "Nova Class Federation starship, two Federation Runabouts, and a Firehawk Class Romulan cruiser. It looks like the Nova Class is the one changing the moon's orbit." "Feddies and Romulans? s**t. We have no chance against those odds, and we'll likely be killed if we stay here much longer. Damnit!" Grim opened the comm channel to contact Mor'tah and Bryce, who were showing the fisherman, Mu'dkyyp, the engineering section. "Guys, we need to dust off ASAP. Get those engines powered up. Unless our guest wants to come along for the ride, I suggest you escort him out before we depart. Out." He cut them off before they could ask any questions. The tone in his voice was serious, though, and they knew better than ask any questions when he was being serious. The ship's engines hummed to life immediately. Mor'tah and Bryce returned to the bridge soon after to sit at their stations. Grim sat in his usual seat. "Get us out of here. Full impulse. As soon as we reach orbit, go to maximum warp," he ordered. "Where're we going, captain?" Bryce asked. "Anywhere but here. Move it!" The Raven, still cloaked, lifted up from the clearing it had been parked in and immediately ascended, reaching the upper atmosphere in about 13 seconds. If all went well and they weren't detected, they would immediately go into warp.

SS Redemption. Terran Uprising Force Fleet. Commander Kelvinar Commanding.
The Science Officer on the SS Redemption seemed to laugh after a moment as he read something on his console. He shook his head and typed in some information, encrypted it and then sent it flying across space to the SS Star Falcon. He nodded as the transmission received feedback and told him that it had been a successful send. He looked up to see half the bridge crew looking at him. He stumbled back slightly and then returned to his station.
"Something wrong, Ensign?" Commander Jefferson asked. His eyebrow was raised much higher than the other, suggesting genuine interest in what had just transpired.
The Ensign looked up quickly again and shook his head. His head darted back down to look and read the random numbers and calculations streaming across his console like nothing had happened. "N-nothing, sir." He said. A small smile crept across his face.
Commander Kelvinar hadn't been looking but he grinned widely as the conversation, or two sentences were spoken. He was watching the progress of tractoring the moon intensely. Though he was not likely to spot anything wrong, he was still highly interested in the particular mission. The moon seemed to slow as the tractoring took effect and it was diverted into a slightly different orbit than the one before. He knew full well that this new orbit would be much better than the one before. He had full confidence in his crew...

Ensign Young nodded as Commander Tene'cha voiced his concerns about the new orbit. He thought a moment as he sent a transmission to the Science Officer aboard the SS Redemption. He got back what seemed to be laughing in the text of the response. He smiled to himself as he got the answer. He closed and deleted the data package and resumed his work and calculations. He sent the recalibrations to the SS Star Falcon's Engineering Section who would then use it on the tractor beam emitter.
"No worries, sir. There won't be any tidal impact upon the planet. We realize that they have a near completely oceanic ecosystem and diet." He nodded and smiled at his commander for further reassurance. He then quickly returned back to his console as more data reached him. He sent more numbers into the fray of confusion on his console and soon they began to take shape in the form of charts and diagrams of the moon...
