Okay. Sorry for the wait, things got pretty hectic with school and all. ^^;;; But now we can finally start this up. First off, I'll give a small, simple plotline for us to work with. If it's not a plot you like, then let me know what kind of story you would like and we can work with that, okay? ^_^

Plot:
There is a world called Hauridd, a world of magic, monsters, and humans alike. For many centuries, the people of Hauridd lived in peace, coexisting with the creatures that also inhabited their world. However, a demonic race led by the demon king Lunstice invaded human territory, considering the humans an inferior lot that have hunted their kind before. They began to one by one destroy villages and towns, leaving only death and destruction in their wake, marching towards the kingdom of Iselle that was ruled by Queen Shuren as the King had died fighting in the war against the demon race. The kingdom feared for the worst, but Queen Shuren did not give up there. She requested the help of the Rune Knights, an independent group of mercenaries that was well renowned for their fighting abilities and their desire to help the people. Unfortunately, only a few mercenaries were left alive in this war. But they chose to fight regardless of their disadvantages. Will they survive this war and save Hauridd, or die trying?

Well, that takes care of the plot. Now for character profiles. Oh yeah, you can also rp some NPCs if you need help in your post. But I'll explain that as we go along. Here's my character:

Name: Estelle Ruveis
Age: 19
Weapon: Two short swords
Magic: Ice and lightning spells
Occupation: Rune Knight mercenary

Once you figure out what kind of character you'll be rping, we can get started and I'll inform you on how things work as we go, okay? Hope this will work for you and I hope you have fun doing this ^_^

I think I can handle that plot. I guess I would be another mercenary. I'm too out of it at the moment to make an OC so I guess I shall use this one:

http://www.answers.com/topic/drizzt-do-urden

Name: Drizzt Do'Urden
Race: Dark Elf
Age: 321

Appearance: Black skin with long white hair and lavender eyes. He wears a green cloak with a fur lining.

Personality: usually calm, composed, and compassionate. He is incredibly daring and confident. He will do anything to avoid a fight (unless it is with evil creatures).

However, due to stresses from his past, if he is hard-pressed emotionally, he may revert to a mindset known as the "hunter," a purely instinctual rage in which his only goal is to survive and to destroy those that threaten that goal. He may even attack his friends if they approach him in this state. Luckily, he has gained at least some level of mastery over this side and will not likely go into it unless he allows himself too.

Due to his dark elf heritage many may be prejudiced against him. However his reputation helps.

Weapons: Two scimitars (Twinkle and Icingdeath).
Right hand: Twinkle--will glow blue if danger is near. This ability can be stopped if stealth is required.
Left hand: Icingdeath--glows in extreme cold. Also protects the user from fire. Also is very effective against creatures of fire. It also hungers for demons allowing the user to sense if there are demons nearby.

Magic: His drow heritage allows him to summon a globe of impenetrable darkness.

also the ability to outline foes in faerie fire, which is quite harmless but may freak them out as well as make them an easier target.

other equipment:
bracers on his legs which allow his feet to move extraordinarily fast.

an onyx figurine which allows him to summon Guenhwyvar, a 600 pound panther familiar. Unfortunately she can only stay summoned for about half a day after which she must rest for around 2 days. If summoned earlier, she will lack strength. Also if injured she will retreat to the Astral plane (her home), where she will heal. (She can't die, although the greater the injury, the longer she will need to heal.)

Oh I suppose I should mention that he can see in the dark via infrared vison (the darkness globe blocks all kinds of vision though).

*applauds*I like your profile ^_^ That's really good for starting out. And don't worry, it's not too complicated at all. I should probably add a bit more info to my character as well before we start so it'd probably be easier for you to figure out how my character is. XD I just gave the basic info to give an idea of how it is but now I don't have to worry too much ^_^

Here's the full-blown profile ^_^

Name: Estelle Ruveis

Age: 19

Appearance: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b206/ShiroiKazeru/MinitokyoFemaleScansMurderPrincess_.jpg

Personality: She looks cold on the outside, but deep down, Estelle is just really a kind young woman as well as an expert strategist; she knows when to back down from battle and when to jump right back in.

Weapon: Two short swords (even though on the pic it's a katana and a dagger but er, maybe she switched weapons? XD)

Magic: Because she was born into a family of spellcasters, Estelle in particular can manipulate ice and lightning at will

Occupation: Rune Knight mercenary

History: Estelle was born into a poor middle-class family of spellcasters in an isolated yet tranquil valley bordering the Iselle Kingdom. From an early age, Estelle learned the art of the sword from her older brother who left the village to work as a mercenary. She lived peacefully and happily in the village. However, Estelle has not seen her brother since and left her village after coming of age (around 13 or so). She searched for her brother all over but when she finally found leads about two years later, Estelle found her brother slain in front of her by the Demon Lord Lunstice. Shattered and enraged, Estelle tried to kill Lunstice but was easily overpowered and nearly killed.

Estelle was found and nursed to health by another mercenary who happened to be part of the Rune Knights. She requested to join them and after much arguing, Estelle was finally accepted. She has since then been working as a mercenary to help others and protect those in need. Having lost many comrades as the war waged on, Estelle vowed to end the war by any means necessary, even if to sacrifice her own life. The request of Queen Shuren was a grand opportunity for Estelle and she took it without a second thought.

Her skills are well-known by the populace of Iselle and many came to know her as the Amethyst Fang, due to her deep purple hair and her mastery of the twin 'fangs', or swords she wielded without hesitation. Estelle uses ice and lightning magic in conjunction with her blades, making her a formidable opponent.

There. Let me know what you think. And do you want our characters to already know each other or will we just meet by chance, depending on whether or not your character would be one of the Rune Knight Mercenaries? And also, if you just want to rp as Vita, that works too XD Yay for magic circles (or triangles, or squares XD) As long as you get the gist of making character profiles, that will definitely help you in the long run ^_^

I think Drizzt would be better at the current time. My Nanoha memory is a bit shady at the moment (rewatching it to refresh myself) so I think it would be simpler just to use Drizzt for now, since I really understand him.

I think perhaps he would be a rogue ranger that happens to join in the cause. He could be independently working against the demons (like raiding their camps at night). Then, he and Estelle could randomly run into each other or something...

Anyways, I like your profile XD. Should I post some small synopsis of Drizzt's past too?

Thanks ^_^ And yeah, a little bit of background on Drizzt would be a nice addition. It'll give me an idea as to who I'm dealing with in a way. The background can be short or long, your preference ^_^

And as for how we meet, running into each other at the same place works too. It would probably be better that way instead of already being acquainted, in terms of storyline ^_^ It could even be kinda Nanohaish with the whole, "meeting on opposite sides with different motives but same goal" XD Or it could even be a little misunderstanding that either or almost leads to a skirmish between Estelle and Drizzt XD
PostPosted: Fri Jan 25, 2008 5:33 pm

Well, if she hadn't heard of Drizzt, something like that might happen...He is a dark elf after all...

History:

Drizzt was born deep within the underdark, in the drow city of Menzoberranzan. In this evil place, treachery was considered applaudable and war was some kind of twisted sport. However, thanks to the influences of his father he was able to grow up pure of heart. His father Zaknafein, also trained him to become likely the greatest swordsman in all of Menzoberanzan.

Then one day, on a surface raid by the drow, he saved the life of Ellifain, an elven child, by covering her in her own mother's blood and claiming that he killed her. Unfortunately, thanks to the Goddess Lloth, his family found out. In order to regain Lloth's favor (She was greatly displeased at this.), they were going to sacrifice Drizzt. His father offered his own life in Drizzt's place. When Drizzt found out, he ran away into the Underdark. He spent tens of years there with only his cat, Guenhwyvar to talk to, and she couldn't even stay on the material plane very much. Due to the influences of this great loneliness and the immensely powerful monsters that lived there, the "hunter" developed (see above). Eventually, he came to the surface world, and thanks a kind old man that he met, Montolio Debrouchee, he learned a lot about the world, and decided to follow the goddess Mielikki, a goddess of rangers, and forest lovers.

I could go more in depth, but I think this is long enough XD.

Nice, I like ^_^ Well, since we've pretty much got the profiles down, we can now officially start the rp ^_^ If you have any questions along the way, let me know in an ((ooc: _______)) or out of character to avoid any confusion in between the posts. All right, here goes then XD Oh, and sorry if it's too long; I tend to get carried away with the details. ^^;;; You don't have to post as long, as long as it's not a one-liner or something close to that.

-----------------------

It's a full moon tonight...A lone woman thought to herself as she was shrouded in shadows of the trees, her eyes scanning downwards. Just below her was an encampment. It belonged to no human. No, it belonged to the demon race. The camp was still very far from the kingdom of Iselle where the woman had accepted the request of the queen. It was her job to dispose of those willing to shed the blood of the innocent. The woman recalled her meeting with Queen Shuren in her mind.

Three Days prior...

"Please stand, Lady Estelle." Queen Shuren said as Estelle had knelt down on one knee, bowing in respect. She was outfitted in a battle worn, brown hooded cloak over a sleeveless violet top that exposed some of her stomach and olive green shorts. Covering her feet were over-the-knee, loose violet boots and at her sides were two sheathed short swords. Her hair was short and had a deep purple hue, accenting her amber brown eyes and giving her the fierceness of a tiger.

"Milady, I will gladly accept your request to protect the kingdom from the demon race. As one of the few surviving members of the Rune Knight Mercenaries, I swear my allegiance to you as part of the contract." Estelle responded firmly. Queen Shuren nods slightly, but frowns, catching Estelle's attention. "Is something the matter, Milady?"

"Please do not heed my words too much, but I am still very much surprised at how young you are. It still shocks me that you are of the few surviving members of the Rune Knights. Will you be all right? If you need any help, I will gladly send some men with you."

Estelle shook her head and smiled gently at the queen. "Worry not. It is best that you have all the able knights here protecting the kingdom. It is safer that way. As for the Rune Knights, I greatly appreciate your concern, but I must handle this in honor of those I lost."

Estelle unsheathes her two blades, both gleaming in the moonlight. It's time.

She swiftly leaps down from the tree branch she was standing atop of and went straight to work, first quietly assassinating the guards at the entrance and hiding away their bodies before making her way inside the camp as she has done with the previous three encampments she infiltrated. She would finish this job quickly and be on her way. Hopefully without any problems.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 3:45 pm

ooc: What do these demons look like? or should I make something up? xd : Also, I wouldn't think most encampments would really have an entrance...

------------
On a nearby hillside, a lone drow was sitting in contemplation.

Until recently, he had been staying at the nearby town of Zinfandel, but unfortunately demons came and ransacked it, leaving noone alive. He had resolved to fight this oncoming wave of demons and for the past couple of weeks had been raiding demon camps by night, slitting the beasts' throats in their sleep.

He considered the demon encampment far below him and and wondered how much progress he was actually making. If only he could find out where the demon king was hiding. Perhaps I could end this fight. Well, it's the best I can do for now... he thought.

He stood up and stretched his arms. He pulled out an onyx figurine in the likeness of panther from a side-pouchand called softly to it. "Come, my Guenhwyvar." A mist begin to appear before him materializing into the shape of a panther that looked almost identical to the figurine. "Perhaps, we can get the information I desire tonight," he whispered to his feline ally.

They swiftly and silently made there way down to the encampment side. He glanced at the door. There aren't any guards..., he thought. Something was definitely out of order here... "Quickly! Hide, Guenhwyvar," he whispered to the panther. She darted off into the trees and out of sight. He then quietly slipped into the encampment.

ooc: I wasn't sure about the formatting. Anyways, please tell me what you think...

ooc: The demons have all sorts of forms. Some of them even resemble a human though they have characteristics like long ears or horns. But the one physical characteristic all demons have are that somewhere on their bodies, usually the back or their arms and legs, are marks in the form of some ancient language. That also holds part of their strength as well. But you can describe them however. And your post is just fine ^_^ People have different styles, so whichever suits you and is easier to do, so long as you get the gist of posting and your post is understandable, then it's totally fine. You can even post small pics in between posts if you want, that's another style that can be used, like stories w/illustrations. As long as it's not in script form, since it's not a play we're writing XD As for the encampment entrance part, it can be one of many entrances to enter through XD

Estelle continued going around the moderately guarded encampment, sprinting through the shadows though sometimes having to dash out in the open and take out any unsuspecting demon. She searched around, trying to figure out where the leader of the camp may be. Her goal tonight was to figure out what the demon army was planning, and then destroying this encampment. She had to hurry though; if anyone finds the bodies of those she had slain, there could be a riot. Not that it would matter, Estelle didn't mind a skirmish. The problem was that for her, it would just be irritating for her to deal with being surrounded and then losing the opportunity to question the leader.

I can't afford to be caught...I must find the leader and get the answers I want. And to avenge the deaths of my fallen comrades...especially...She trailed off in her thoughts. The memories of what had happened back then still had its sting and was something that Estelle would have to live with, probably for the rest of her life. Until the day she dies, Estelle would continue to fight.

As she ran through the area swiftly without being noticed while also planting glasslike magic orbs hidden in various parts of the camp, Estelle suddenly stopped as she sensed another presence around the camp. It wasn't that she could just sense any presence, but due to her magical aptitude, Estelle was able to sense some kind of magic that was not attributed to the demon race. She was unsure of whether it was friend or foe, but right now she didn't have the time to deal with whoever else was around. Shrugging it off, the woman continued onward until she finally reaches what seems to be the leader's temporary dwelling. She listened for anything and peeked from around the corner of the entrance to see a man, his back turned on Estelle, alone and looking at what seemed to be a map with marks of their current conquests so far on their march towards Iselle. But this was no man; no, he was indeed a demon. Long crimson hair, long ears, and a dangerous aura around him that only spellcasters would be able to see with the naked eye.

The leader was still studying the map when he felt the presence of another right behind him. In fact, that presence was currently holding him at swordpoint, two short swords were pressed closely to his neck where the slightest movement could easily cause bleeding. The leader however remained calm. He narrowed his eyes but looked ahead. "I assume you to be an assassin of sorts?"

"Of sorts..." Estelle responded cooly. "Does 'Rune Knight' ring a bell?"

The leader closed his eyes, "I see. So you're one of those knights. Come to take revenge for the killing of your brethren? Yet it was your kind who attacked ours first." Without saying or signalling anything, one of the leader's bodyguards had a sword at Estelle's neck from behind. Estelle smirked slightly but continued to speak.

"You really are full of yourself, aren't you? It was because of you that my brother was slain while protecting the innocent...I held no grudge against demons until that day you took my brother away from me. I want answers...and I want them now."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:38 am

Darting inside the encampment, Drizzt glanced around. Off in the distance, he saw a group of demons gathered around something. He darted along the edge to get a closer look.

Along the way, he noticed a peculiar object lying in the grass. He paused to look at it. It was an orb with magic runes imprinted in it. Wishing he could remember his rune tables, he backed away. What could these demons be planning with these orbs? and why would they leave them out in the grass like this? he wondered.

Getting a closer look at the demon party, he saw that there was a girl in the midst of the group of demons. In front of her was a demon, a fairly tall fellow. She had her swords pressed against the demon's back. Behind her, a demon had a sword pressed against the back of her neck. They appeared to be conversing about something.

Silently cursing his luck, he knew that he needed to save her. Hoping that his plan would work, he motioned into the darkness to his feline companion, who let out a loud and resounding roar and ran into the camp mauling tents left and right. All of the demon's bodyguards turned to see where the roar had come from. A moment later, the one that had had his sword against the girl's neck lie on the ground dead, sliced across the neck by Icingdeath, one of Drizzt's scimitars.

"My, my, what a strong ally you have there...even so...do you really expect to leave here alive?" cooly said the demon in front of the girl, as the remainder of his bodyguards surrounded Drizzt and scores of demons were exiting their tents.

"A drow elf?" many were very muttering. "What business could he have here?" one asked his friend. "Who knows? Let's hope that the boss is as strong as Lunstice believed him to be..."

Ooc: Wait, I'm a fool aren't I?

ooc: lol, if you're a fool, I must be one too XD Time to get out of this mess we both got ourselves into!

That presence I sensed earlier...

Estelle remained keeping the demon general at swordpoint. She felt the blade that was against her neck fall to the ground as well as the body that had wielded it. But not once did she look behind her for the time. She lets out an empty sigh as she listens to her opponent speak of an ally and then some of the other demons muttering amongst themselves...something about a Drow Elf...Was that the presence I felt earlier...? No, there was another, but I can no longer feel it...Just what's going on, and what of this so-called Drow Elf...

"Hmph...I do not recall having any allies with me..." Estelle said, pressing her swords ever closer to the general, drawing blood slightly. "...For you murdered them in cold blood already. And that question you ask...I should be the one asking your men that."

The moment she made that statement, Estelle leapt back as the general gets out of her hold by nearly thrusting his jagged blade behind him and almost into Estelle's torso, but only ended up with the point of his sword barely poking her. The general turned around, revealing his face to Estelle and the elf; it was young and elegant, not hardened like most war generals. But his eyes were ice cold, matching up to Estelle's emotionless expression. "A swift young woman you are. No wonder you were taken in by those mercenaries. But a human is still a human. You made your first and final mistake against Galanrik, milady!" The general immediately dashed forth in almost inhuman speed, striking at Estelle with his sword that now glowed a sinister black aura. Estelle couldn't avoid the blow, but she did managed to parry with both her swords, crossing them at forty-five degree angles to catch and hold back the blade from slashing Estelle in half.

As she held back the blade, being pushed back slightly, Estelle whispered words to herself. Galanrik smirked as he continued to push his blade against Estelle's blades, "Sending a prayer to your gods? Aren't you the religious one. But prayers will not save you!"

Estelle then smiled coldly and spoke aloud, finishing the last word. "...Farise." Soon after, explosions could be heard all over the camp and ice began to form at a quick rate from the small orbs Estelle had strategically placed, startling Galanrik and many of the troops, including the ones that were surrounding the elf and giving him ample time to do whatever he must.

ooc: sorry I took so long, I've been really busy this last week xd :
---------------

Drizzt darted back as a burly demon sliced the ground inches in front of him with a greataxe. Several others with swords immediately lept in to attack him, but he managed to dodge most of their attacks, parrying this rest with his scimitars. He needed to figure out a plan of attack. He figured he could probably parry all there attacks easy enough, but he needed to beat them and soon. By the time he had done so the girl he had saved would not be alright. He couldn't glance over there right now or he would be beaten so he fought as hard as he could.

Then, all of a sudden, there were loud explosions and everyone looked up in fear. Stealing his moment of advantage he stabbed the remainder of the demons in his vicinity before they realized what was going on. He glanced around to see most of the camp covered in ice...What happened? he wondered. Making sure that Guenhwyvar was alright--she had already mauled almost all the tents and demons were everywhere dead or in disarray, he turned around to glance at the girl.

ooc: It's okay ^_^ Btw, I was wondering if you can, by any chance, help me come up with a little plot to use when I put up the mock roleplay for groups? If you can, just pm me your ideas, if anything. I'm a little stuck on it right now sweatdrop Oh, and Freekthegeek, if you want to rp in a mock roleplay, you'll need to sign up. This is only a one-on-one rp.

Estelle manages to push Galanrik back after the explosions did their job. She was about to finish the job and strike at Galanrik, but the leader of this troop of demons would not fall so easily and swiftly dodged with little effort, leaping to the side of her. He glared menacingly at the Rune Knight mercenary and spoke. "Hmph...you surprised me, young mercenary. Fine. You've fallen most of troops; it would be foolhardy to continue to fight...But mark my words, you and your friend are now of the hunted. Don't believe for a second you've the upper hand against the demon race."

Before Estelle could do a thing, Galanrik disappeared in a wall of flames, and the remaining demons fled the camp in fear. "Curse it..." Estelle muttered to herself.

I couldn't get any answers at this point...There's no need to stay here any longer.

Sheathing her twin 'fangs', Estelle turned on one heel 180 degrees, her hooded cloak flying back slightly from the movement, and faced the elf with calm yet cold and calculating eyes. "It's rare to find someone else who isn't a mercenary wandering around here. Who are you, and what is your business here?"
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2008 3:30 pm

ooc: Sorry freekthegeek is actually me...not sure why i posted what i did though...anywhoo I can probably help I'd have to think for a bit though.
-----------

Drizzt looked at the fight with the girl and the demon leader and was surprised to see that she was actually hold her own against him. He silently cursed though as the demon disappeared. Once again I can't get the information I need...

Disbelieving his warm welcome, Drizzt introduced himself.

"I am Drizzt Do'Urden. I'm a wandering ranger from the town of Zinfandel, which was ravaged by demons like these a couple weeks ago. I am currently trying to track down the demon king Lunstice, so I can exact my revenge and save other cities from this oncoming disaster. So you're a mercenary then? The Rune Knights are involved now?"

"Oh sorry this is Guenhwyvar," Drizzt interrupted himself. He called to his panther who was currently mauling a particularly scrawny demon. She came running over and purred. "She's a friend. Don't be afraid."
