I still need to buy and wait for some parts so it won't be completed right away. Give me two weeks. :/

Recap of things:
1992 Subaru SVX, LS-L touring trim.
Not offered with a manual trans.
92 Auto trans (4eat) prone to overheating (as a joke we call it the 4Heat)
A ctc solenoid failed causing the rear wheels to bind, destroying the center transfer clutch. Other things failed due to my abuse. Tranny was rebuilt, but the solenoids (transfer valve assembly) were not replaced.
CTC failed again days after the rebuild. $2500 in the drain, but at the time (2004) I didn't know why, as I had no understanding of the trans.
Now I do.
Anyway, I drove around in FWD for the next 3 years without issues until I took it to a shop to get the oil leaks fixed. The day after I got the car back I drove 22 miles before something failed in the transmission causing a drivability concern. it still goes but it makes a clunk with every revolution of the axles. This is when I decided to do this swap. I ordered parts, got most of them, began disassembling and found a protective cover for the TC is missing, probably one of the causes of this new recent problem. Earlier I found a resistor wire designed to soften the trans shifts was not connected, fault of the people fixing my leaks. Who knows what is the real reason.
That was back in September. Aside from that 22 miles, and pulling my car into the garage the other day, I haven't driven my car since August 18 of last year. ):
So it begins. The as of yet biggest project I have undertaken. I'll be replacing the 4heat with a 2002 WRX 5MT. It's about 70lbs lighter and has lower gear ratios, with a 3.9 FD, compared to 3.545 of the 4eat. I'm going to have a driveshaft custom made. Hopefully it will be lighter. Stock is 4 feet of solid steel, weighing only 35lbs. I'm going aluminum.
I'll update you with things as I progress. (:
