If you don't know what sarah laws are and want to know every detail Look Here but I will be doing some explaining myself. Sarah was a girl who died after her cervix was torn during an abortion her mother didn't know about. Abortions in some states no parental notification is required. Many sexual predators take advantage of this by forcing a child to have an abortion after they rape them, and in a way keep it secret. Sarah laws require that any medical procedure done to a minor that doesn't have a medical emancipation from their guardian/parent. I think these should always have been there, I can't walk up to a dentist and have them remove my teeth without permission, why should a girl be given permission to have an abortion without permission. Also, to add on, if a parent is abusive another adult that is closely related can give permission with this law.

If permission is required for one medical procedure, it should be required for all of them. Why is abortion different? Because it's controversial? Because some people don't like it? Same with psychiatry and blood transfusions, and they still require parental permission for those.

I agree. If people had get parental consent to things like ear piercing and tattoos, why not ask for consent for surgeries? That makes no sense!
I understand that some parents might not agree with abortions but they probably want to know about it in case some goes seriously wrong so they can help them.
If the parents are abusive, they should tell someone. They could get help if they really want it.

Yeah, the only reason that people are pushing for little to no parental consent needed, is so that it can be done more conveniently.
But that causes problems. People abuse the system more, because it's easy. Sorry to sound like a choicer here, but what about rape? *****? Abuse, abortion, abuse. It can become a cycle in the end for a lot of people.
I'm all for liberalism, but liberal abortion laws allow for too many holes to be present in the system.

I didn't quite understand that either, but good point, I was thinking maybe it was referring to a guardian that has control over the child instead of the abusive parent!

Well, to play devil's advocate, the same parents would probably abuse her if they found out she was pregnant. And if you're talking about having sex, I would think that abused children sometimes break every rule they think they can get away with as a way to get back at their parents. Which of course brings us to the fact that the Pro-Choice mentality of popular culture makes sex out to be a safe thing. Speaking of which, should we really call protected sex safe sex? I mean, it's safer by far then unprotected sex, but calling it "safe" sex makes it sound fool-proof.

I fully support this law.
You would have to have an IQ of 3 to not support it.
While looking through that website I was horrified. Don't people in abortion clinics know how to push one button three times on a telephone? Or do they just not even know what the word 'police' means at all?
