The Crosshaven Post is a paper written for the people and by the people. They are citizens, some with gifts, some without, who know how great Crosshaven can be, and are determined to see that greatness shine through once again. ((If you have something you would like to post in the paper, or if you would like to work as a reporter, pleases contact CharlieHaze. Otherwise, please do not post unless you have contacted her. One Year Later Written by: Sam Mist
It has been a year now since the day that Crosshaven changed forever. Many of us are still haunted by the frightening images that we witnessed, and we are all struggling to regain the once beautiful town that we have lost. With faith dwindling, we look towards the future for a sign of hope. Hope that there is a light ahead of this dark and destructive tunnel.
Perhaps though, that light is closer than we imagined. It is said that on the 29th of this month, Morigan Black will be making an announcement in the town square. It is assumed that the announcement will be on the truth behind the rumors of her taking over the position as Governor of Crosshaven. If this is true, the suspicions of Governor Nathanael Nevermore's presumed death will most likely be confirmed.
Governor Nevermore and Morigan Black had never hidden their romantic relationship from the public, and the hearts of the citizens of Crosshaven went out to Morigan once news of the young Governor's disappearance hit.
However, there are some who would argue that this relationship with the Governor does not qualify her to be our next leader. While others, who have worked along side the two, hold onto the belief that Morigan would be the best choice for Crosshaven. That she is highly intelligent, and that her relationship with Governor Nevermore has allowed her to experience the job first hand.
Whatever the announcement will be on the 29th though, we here at the Post hope that it will be the start of a new beginning for Crosshaven.

Black to be Governor Written by: Sam Mist
As the crowds began to crowd around the stage, the citizens of Crosshaven gather once again, greeting their long lost friends, some learning that their loved ones, who were once thought to have passed, were indeed still living. Lovers, parents, children, and friends embrace each other once again for the first time in a year. It is a heart warming scene, and one I personally will hold close to my heart for a long time to come.
However there is still a lingering sadness in the air, that will never truly be gone, as other citizens still wait, loosing hope that they will never see their families, friends, or children again. It is at this time though, almost as if on cue, that Morigan Black emerges from the crowds, shaking hands and greeting friends whom she had not seen in a year.
Crowds gather, wanting a chance to greet her, and when she makes it to the stage, there is a silence as they wait with patients. She stands strong, appearing ready for the long road that has been laid out before her and informs Crosshaven that, “It is with great humility and a heavy heart that I have accepted the post of governor but with the sincere belief that we will be able to make Crosshaven what it once was. A grand city. And also to make sure that it keeps being what it always was. A haven.” She continues on, making mention of the great leadership of the late Nathanael Nevermore and Nicholi Nevermore. Concluding finally with, “It is time to look up in to the heavens with hope once more. The road will not be an easy one but it will be one we will travel together.”
It is with these last words that cheers erupt from the crowds, you can easily make out cries of “Long live Governor Black!” however the excitement dies down shortly after, turning to a whisper as Dorien Cross takes the stage, a well known friend of the Nevermores and Governor Black, and plays a tape that shocked all who stood in the little town square of Crosshaven. It was Governor Nathanael Nevermore’s voice, telling all of Crosshaven, “I know that a lot of you might be sad to hear I will be leaving this office. I know you will miss me, and I will miss you too. But I want you to know I would never leave you without the faith that I am putting your happiness and continued success in the most precious and worthy of hands.” It is now obvious to all, that despite the horrors that took place one year ago, Governor Nevermore had already intended to pass the title of Governor onto Morigan Black, news that shocked not just the crowds that stood in awe, but obviously Morigan as well.
And so we will be made to move foreword, in hope that with a new Governor there to lead us, we will also find a way to truly build back up what we have lost.

Destruction in Town Square Written by: Sam Mist
Once the event of the 29th drew to an end and Crosshaven was introduced to Morigan Black, our new Governor, the hopes for a better future that she had spoken so eloquently about just moments ago, were tested. A new enemy appeared before our brave town in the form of a dozen or so creatures, which ripped into the town square.
Many of the citizens, including the Governor herself, had already left, however the few that had stayed behind were given the chance to bear witness to some of the most foul creatures to have ever been seen. They appeared almost as though someone had played Frankenstein with a needle and thread, sewing together the body parts of different creatures and bringing them to life, though their use is only that of destruction.
Immediately one building collapses, causing those unaware of the frightening scene that is taking place, to scatter. Leaving only a few men to stand up against the attack, our very own Constable, a Crosshaven hero, Myles Million, and our Governor’s body guard, Hollow. After a destructive blow to one of the larger creatures responsible for the destruction of the building, the monsters seem to scatter, but not before leaving a warning to all of Crosshaven, “Expect More,” which is slashed into the projector screen for all to see.
And so, to the citizens of Crosshaven, should you see anything suspicious, such as creatures that are frighteningly unnatural, like a bird’s body with a lizard’s head, be aware, and report any suspicious behavior to a near by authority. So keep a watchful eye Crosshaven, because this city that so many of us love is never truly safe.
