Due to the new members and the growing creativity displayed by them I think that a reforming of the way we think about the Regalia and kingsmanship.
This will take a little bit to form but I will announce it once the Plan is fully formed.

Well don't forget, the reason there are kings is because they have extraordinary abilities that extend past what they can do on the Regalia. For example, Ikki and Sora can both literally Grabbed the air and pull themselves about in mid-air. Rika can use her thorns without AT's at all. Kururu doesn't even ride ATs. Even Agito used his fang without the Regalia.
Another thing to also remember is that their are hundreds of Kings, if not thousands I believe. But all roads initially span from the original 8. The Hurricane road from the Wing Road, The Jade Road from the Gaia rode and Wings Road. And Aeon Clocks Road is the Flame Road.
Even Gabashi, the Horn King(the face eating guy) has a style the derives from the Bloody Road, but he does have his own road. And Om get her ability from the Regalia, even though her style is similar to the Throne Road, in the concept that the rider movements are dependent on the hip not the feet. But again she does have her own individual road. Road branch off to other roads is what I'm saying.
Even more so, The riders don't determine Regalia. Benkie had her own Regalia. Even though it was only just a Staff with a wheel on it, I have no doubt that was indeed a regalia. And again, her style holds similarities
Onto Regalia. I've said this before "Not All Kings Use them". And Some Kings are that simply because they have them. Gabashi and Om are not so good examples. They are kings not simply because they have them, they are Gravity Children which instantly qualifies them as Kings. Oh, here's a good one. Akira became the Fang King because he was the holder of the the Fang Regalia.
It's stiall all confusing and stuff, but you have remember how the title "King" can affect some things, while "Regalia" can affect other aspects as well.

Title:Gavity King
Road:Nova Road
AT/Regalia Name: Cosmic Comet
Description of Road: The Nova road allows the rider to create a new road (Let just call it a WormHole Road because I like the space theme) that strays from the Nova Road and allow the rider to use the road to create there gravity, allowing them to ride on walls and etc.
Regalia's Abilities: The Regalia is a small core that allows the rider to not control earths gravity but there own.

i'm sorry but i have to point this out that a road does give the rider a special ability, that is what the regalia are for. A road is more similar to your style of riding ATs. Look at Kazu for instence he is all about speed thats why he rides so closely to the flame road, same for Aoen clock. The only reason Aoen clock's road branched of into its own was because Aoen himself created that ability and severed it from the flame road.
Same thing goes for ikki, he is all about the flying of the ride and so thats why everyone said he followed the wing road/sky road. He didn't care about anything except for flying in the air.

That is right. I am trying to prevent the whole regalia thing from getting out of control to where the whole guild is a bunch of super powered freaks which is why I am trying to hold the regalia to the 9 and let others ride their own roads. Too many kings and people in the future will be turned away from the guild.

That's just the problem. Again, I defend myself with my 8 by saying, they are all Gravity Children and Gravity. As far as we know, all gravity children were given Regalia.
I do agree with you that too many Kings will ruin the whole experience. But the problem is, knowing what is appropriate, and what isn't.
You have to remember, aside from the Eight Original Kings, you have Om, Gabishi, and also Orca(which I'm iffy to consider a king. He rides the Bloody road.) Also, if you remember, all members of Sleeping Forest, which includes Mikan and Umi, are Gravity children, and there are still a few who we do not know of. If you remember from the
If you'd like, I'm willing to say that my characters all just have personalized ATs. In truth, because of the nature of my characters, they consider themselves false kings. They were born to be continuations from the original project, but decided not to go after the regalia. Thus, while they easily qualify for for Kingship of their respectful Roads, since they do not have the Regalia, they are nothing but False Kings. Yea, I know I sorta left that out of the profiles, but that was because I was going to explain it in the RP.
Anyways. I'm just saying, while the EIGHT, not nine roads are pretty much Cannon, please be aware that not all Roads have been showcased, that, and you must never forget, a King can always be knocked down.
It doesn't matter how good you are, if you don't have that road's regalia, then you aren't a king.
Ya know when you look at you work and it makes sense when you write it, and makes sense to others, but just doesn't quite make sense after you red it over again because you repeated yourself so many times? I 've been getting that filling a lot lately.
Major Points:
Yang, you're right, we can't have everyone be a King.
Still, Special ATs and new AT technology always seems to pop up all the time.
Not all special ATs are regalia
Regalia are the ultimate qualification for Kingship. Without them you are not a King.
Kings are known to be dethroned. So even if you aren't a King, that doesn't mean you can't become one.

All very valid points, Trust me your characters make for an interesting storyline, but all those regalias won't work out for the future. The False King idea was a good one. Also, I only say nine Regalia because before any of this started I was the Sky King, but below me out of somewhere came Saki who claims the title of Wind King which, according to your definition, gains her the wind Regalia which also leaves two choices.
1) Get rid of Saki Itou which I don't want to do
2) Have Yang use a different Regalia (i.e The Sky Regalia)
That is where it comes from

Well another point I'd like to point out, which I have various other times, but haven't really emphasized it: Sky King is a title. Now I'm not saying that you can't be the Sky King. More power to you. But, as it stands, anyone can become the Sky Regalia. You could have been the Fang King, or even a nobody with no road at all. As long as you have the Sky Regalia, you are the Sky King.

Well in real life I'm Yang's brother and this was my idea so in all actuality if you want to point fingers point them at me. I just need his rank to implement the plans. I am very confident in this plan though and believe it will work at full force. What I can tell you for sure are that there are 9 Kings but plenty of roads. Just the fact that without one of the 9 Regalia you are not a King...period. You can dethrone a King in battle or the King may pass the Regalia to a successor of his choosing that he/she thinks is worthy. That is what is figured right now in my plan.
