You see, the in the orgininal ocean dub, Vegeta (voiced by brain drummon back then) told Goku that his father was an average fighter and brilliant scientist. They never expected they would know who Goku's father really was. So, they had Bardock straighten that out. In DBZ Movie 11, some dog likes kid Trunks and he says: "Now Goten, stop it!"
What I don't get is why he would think Goten would lick him..
