Matt Reeves was asked about the possibility of a sequel during the film's premiere. He replied: Quote: "While we were on set making the film we talked about the possibilities and directions of how a sequel can go. The fun of this movie was that it might not have been the only movie being made that night, there might be another movie! In today’s day and age of people filming their lives on their iphones and handy cams, uploading it to youtube…That was kind of exciting thinking about that. There's a moment on the Brooklyn Bridge, and there was a guy filming something on the side of the bridge, and Hud sees him filming and he turns over and he sees the ship that's been capsized and sees the headless Statue of Liberty, and then he turns back and this guy's briefly filming him. In my mind that was two movies intersecting for a brief moment, and I thought there was something interesting in the idea that this incident happened and there are so many different points of view, and there are several different movies at least happening that evening and we just saw one piece of another." So now i'm thinking, maybe they'll do another video found about possible survivors...and maybe they'll put people who were part of Tagruato into it as an explaination. I'm thinking this is all going to branch from how well the Movie goes in theaters and how the tie-in manga turns out.

If they did make a sequel, I'd love to see it from the military's view instead of the pedestrians.

Black Sarcophugus If they did make a sequel, I'd love to see it from the military's view instead of the pedestrians. Yeah but i highly doubt that a part of military personel would carry a video camera around as a monster destroys the city...

I was thinking about that too, as much as I was enjoying the movie I was a little disappointed to see the whole thing only through the point of view of the "Rob party" lol. To see it all through someone else's point of view in the city would be cool, with possibly better shots of the monster and everything XD

Um, how about the point of view of the news crew? I mean, that little part were they're saying, "Yes, something is falling off of it. We don't know what it is but-Oh MY GOD!" I mean, think of what happened to them???
And WTF do you mean Manga?! eek WHAT MANGA?! eek I've been all around and up the Cloverfield a**, and I know nothing of a Manga?! sweatdrop

If you watch the credits at the end you hear a voice on a walkie talkie or radio that says "It's still alive".

I'd love to know how anyone was able to understand what was said at the end let alone know what it says in reverse @_@ who figured that out? Or did someone tell us about it ahead of time?
