Owlfang carefully got up, being carfeul not to wake her kit. She streched and walked into the clearing. She picked out a fish and and went by the nersury so that her kit knew where she was.

Morningflower slipped out of the nursery. She sat down next to Owlfang, careful not to rock her swollen belly. "Hello Owlfang." she meowed in greeting as she stared up at the darkening sky. The moon would be up any time now. "How are you?"

"Good and you? Would you like to share some of this fish with me?" The queen asked pushing it towards the she-cat.

"I'm fine... and my kits will be due soon. I'm so excited!" she purred. "It will be my first litter." She nodded and bent down and took a few bites from the fish. She rose and stared at her friend from the nursery. "How's your kit doing?"

"still very energetic." She chuckled and she looked at the nersury expacting her kit to come tumbling out.

"I'm sure Streamkit will grow up to become a great warrior." Morningflower let out an amused purr. She sat up and began to groom one of her light orange paws.

"I'm sure she will, but first she has to get control of her energy." She said finishing up thier fresh-kill. She sat up also.

"I'm sure she'll have a great mentor, and use her energy to serve Aquiclan." Morningflower finished grooming herself. "Brookstar will choose a fine mentor for Streamkit. I have faith in her." she meowed in reassurance.

Streamkit woke up and saw her mother and Morningflower chatting outside the den. Boreing queens! she thought as she slipped into a kit sized hunting crouch and as silently as she could crept up on the two cats and pounced on her mother."Got you, you dirty Boulderclan!" she squeeled as she attacked her mother, pretending she was defending her clan from a boulderclan patrol.

Owlfang grabbed her scruff and placed her on the ground with a paw on he rstomach to keep her down. "You have to get a bit bigger to beat a boulder Clan cat. I think can beat an apprentice though." She smirk and jumped away from her kit. "Try this." She said and showed her kit the correct way to do a back kick.

Streamkit imitated her mother, her plunp little belly swaying. She couldn't keep her balance and swaggered to the side luaghing loudly. She went to attack her mother again this time going for her feet, trying to n** them.

Morningflower watched while the young kit attacked her mother and she let out a laugh. Kits could be so annoying, but so much fun sometimes. She couldn't wait for her own.
