Inuchi, you've got 6 Gundam series listed and you missed Gundam Wing! smile
Also, if you're looking for an awsome action anime, check out Black Lagoon. It's just freaking cool.
Other action titles that get high praise from me and that haven't been listed already:
One Piece (but I'm sure you all know that one)
Shura no Toki (after the first two story arcs it gets a bit iffy, but the fight scenes still rock)
Ninku (funny and full of action)
Saiyuki (one of the best)
Heatguy J (again awsome fight scenes)
Cowboy BeBop (more fun than just hyperactive computer genius and datadog combined)
Generator Gawl (fun and slightly trippy)

I'll back Vampire Hunter D. The sequel was pretty good too.
I wanna add on Final Fantasy: Advent Children. It's CGI but it should still count and it was just too damned cool. heart
If action's what you're askin' for then action's what you'll get in FF:AC! It might be really confusing if you haven't played the game, though. I'm not sure since FF7 is one of my all-time favorite games.
