Do you only use 1 kind? I use little itty bitty pellets, very small ones Do you only use 1 brand? Considering how long a container lasts, I'm still using the same one, so yeah. Do you have treats? I used to give mine a special brand as a treat, but the pellets were so big, it was difficult for him to eat them, so I stopped. I did however, discover last year that he really likes termites. We had an invasion of them in our old home and I decided to put one in his water and he attacked it with a vengence. So he got quite a few while they were flying around or dying on the floor.

1. I use pellets, just because they float & I can tell babysitter to only "give him 5 pellets a day" I have a thing of flakes too... I tend to for get fish food when I go home for weekends, so I have lots stocked up. LOL 2. I usually get the HBH pellets- I like the lid lol. Bubbles will seem to eat any kind. 3. I do have a jar of brine shrimp, but he doesn't seem to like them. I think if I broke them up, he'd eat em. Poor little guy has a dainty mouth. razz I may just have to try real bugs, if Rufus seemed to like them so much. smile

Do you only use 1 kind? (I.E. Flakes Vs. Pellets) i use pellets, never flakes... Do you only use 1 brand (Tetra, HBH etc...) i usually use topfin or tetra (depending on how much money i have at the moment..lol) Do you have treats? (Bloodworms, yadda yadda...) yeah they have bloodworms from topfin. that's how i start them out (if i get them from petsmart) because that's what they usually eat.
though my three babies have different personalities so it depends on what mood their in what i give them...lol
Kami - he eats anything. Isora - it depends on if he's not flaring up at his rflection or not (he can see himself in the tank some how) Aquarius - i just got him today i have no idea about him yet.

Yes. I am death-bumping a three-month old topic. PHEAR ME LOLLERS.
"Do you only use 1 kind?"
A: I use two forms of food. Hikari Betta Bio-Gold and freeze-dried blood worms by Topfin, I believe.
"Do you only use 1 brand?"
A: No. I really just get what I think is the best bang for the buck. 'Sides, my bettas aren't all that picky (and if they are, they'll LEARN to eat what I give them RAWR!!! mad heart )
"Do you have treats?"
A: Well, I wouldn't really consider the blood worms as treats. I tend to switch between the two foods every day.
Valentino has a bit of trouble eating the Bio Gold, though. Takes him three tries to snarf the little pellets sometimes.

A little late for the poll but oh well.
I feed mine hikari floating pellets, supplemented with freeze-dried bloodworms. I used to use flakes but it was obvious they didn't like them.
