The movie was alright, but I was expecting the monster to be a bit more than it really was.
OVERALL! 8.8 / 1o
I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't that shocked or amazed. Just a bit dizzy. :]
What are your views after watching Cloverfield? Was it all you expected and more, or a bit less?

I liked it! Although the way the camera was handled gave me a bit of a headache (especially whenever they were running!), it was still enjoyable to me.
I'm also glad they showed the monster in full and even up close but it just didn't seem like what I thought it would look like.
Everytime someone died I felt sad and depressed for the group, perhaps I was just too into the movie, but I guess that's just how I am.
And Hud was simply funny! "Wouldn't it be scary if a flaming homeless guy just popped out of nowhere?" Or something like that... That line had everyone in the theater reeling, oh, that and the Superman thing with Marleena!

I thought it was awesome! I was really dug this movie- I'm actually planning on seeing it again.
I felt the same way when people died- well... only toward the end.
I have a feeling another movie in on the way- there were too many unanswered questions (which is a JJ Abrams' thing), and it was left too open.
I liked the monster, and it's little feeder fish.

I loved it. I'll admit that I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if I didn't follow the viral clues, such as those posted on cloverfieldclues.com.
The monster reminded me of a creature from a video game, at least in the face, but was otherwise awesome! I was sad when Hud died, though. crying I thought, "Yay! The monster didn't eat him! Now get up, Hud! Come on!" But he didn't move. D: He had the best lines, too. "What's that?!" "It's...it's a terrible thing." XD

Seriously, I loved the movie. It was worth the hype but it wasn't as long as i expected it to be. I liked the characters adn hud was just freakin hillarious. I wish tho that they would elaborate more on the monster.

I loved it. The only problem I had, was that sometimes it was to dark to see the monster fully. Hud was my favorite character besides the Monster. Flaming Homeless People ftw.

Haha yeah Hud was pretty funny. That movie was a real rush from start to finish. The monster scared the pachinko outta me, and I got delightfully nautious from motion sickness @_@ I managed to hold myself together though =) which is more than I can say for poor Marlena >.>'

my favorite part was in the tunnel where marlena says 'maybe its from outer space, like superman' hud says 'you know superman??!' then marlena says 'WOAH did you feel that? wait, are you aware of garfield??!' OMG! hilarious! marlena definaltely my fav character. she fights back HARD!!
the guy who sat next to me kept pointing to the slusho shirt jason was wearing. xDDD
what sucks is we dont know where it came from. but it did cause an oil tanker to capsize.. [and was it just me or was there a tagruato sign on it??] wink

Also if u pay close attention, when they are in coney island at the very end, you see something pretty big hit the water.

I think.. I'm going to have to see that again.
And again.
And again.
The realism of the people was a little insane, and sometimes too much for me. I know, even me, the Rude Boy. When Jason went down.. It hurt me a lot. I liked that guy! A lot! And then Marlena going didn't surprise me as much, though. The actual "pop" surprised me a little. And those little monsters.. It annoyed me that only Marlena was bitten. I mean, can we even explain what happened?
The close to ending where Hud looks right at the monster scared me, only because I didn't want Hud to die. Hudson can't die! He's the imprenetrable cameraman! I'm also confused how the camera's perfectly fine, but they're dead. Or were they? ... Yeah. But I'll ask my questions in the aftermath.
My thoughts? 9 of 10. Nothing was more thrilling this year...
...'Cept the next JJ Abrams thing.

Loved it.
I'm getting it on my ipod right now. biggrin
but anyway, although it was a little short it was overall amazing. Didn't like Rob's persistancy to get Beth, I wouldn't have gone through all of that to save her.
Funny lines from Hud..The flaming Hobo ones.. and What is that thing?! "It's bad. Also, terrible claws."
Too bad he had to die, along with Jason who I didnt want to die THAT early. I mean, seriously!
Also, the monster wasn't quite as big as i would have like but it did look very, very cool. J.J. did good on that.
Kinda resembled the striders from Half Life 2.

I loved it. I was actually surprised at how much I did like it. I was going to the theater expecting a big let down.
I love that they didn't make the monster the main central point in the movie. Which is so hard to do, even with a first-person camera angle.
I hear so many people complaining about the opening ending. I would hate it if there were a sequel. It would destroy the whole effect of the movie. I loved that I left not knowing exactly what happened, just like the characters.
And I loved Hud. He was great.
Can't wait to see it again.

Hud was my favorite character. heart And the movie overall was good. Though it did not focus on the monster or anything else in a monster movie it was pretty fun to watch. The only thing I was disappointed in with is that it showed a little Spongebob.
oh, and near the end of the credits, there is a voice that faintly says, "help us." when the audio is played in reverse, it says "it's still alive."
