Think of it as a sort of nonconformist book club, where contributors can list the series and authors that they enjoy reading as advertisements for others, and perhaps a bit of discussion along the same topics.
As I'm starting this thread, I suppose I will take my turn first.
Currently, I am indulging in The Moonworlds Saga by the writer Sean McMullen. Though I am only 108 pages (starting the third chapter) into the first book, I have to say that I am enjoying it. The imagery is well verbalized, but I would have to say that my favorite part would be the interactions between the characters. Rarely have I found interactions between two or more that did not cause me to express laughter due to a pointed out irony or some such.
An example:
Quote:
Silverdeath just reduced an entire continent to furnace tailings, yet he wants to use it to order a new pair of testicles?
And of course, for easy reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moonworlds_Saga
Be forewarned that there are spoilers. Fortunately, I managed to avert my eyes in time. I'd rather not have any foreknowledge of the story ahead of time.
