Two girls have been friends for seven years, one has feelings for the other, but the other one has no idea what she feels. Everytime she tries to confess, she just can't let it out. She is really shy; as the other is a hyper sort of person who is straight forward. While she has know idea what or even how to say it the other is oblivious to what's going on inside her and is debating whether she likes her at all. One's a skater and closet writer and the other the soccer team captain and is the one everyone loves, yet she doesn't have many friends. The other girl only has a few friends; the one she loves and some the few friends she has.

As the bell rang for the end of class, Miya grabbed her bag and walked out of the room first. She walked to the opposite wall to the door and leaned against the lockers. She said goodbye to a couple of her friends as they passed by, but with keeping an eye out for Himiko.

Himiko waved to Vera and James as they turned out of the hallway. She caught a glance of Miya down the hall. "MIYA!" she called, still a good fifteen feet from her. She made her way towards her friend, wrapping her in a tight hug. "I haven't seen you in," she paused to glance at her watch. "forty nine minutes and fifty two seconds!" she exclaimed. "I thought I was going to absolutely die!" she over dramatized. "Sooo, what's today's plan?" she asked.

As Himiko yelled her name, Miya yelled hers. She hugged her back and giggled. She walked about two lockers to her right and opened her locker.
"Well, I'm not doing anything. If you have soccer practice today then I'll watch you. But if not we can just hang out. My mom's going to be out until dawn again. And tomorrow's saturday."
She put her backpack in her locker since she didn't have homework and pulled out her skateboard.

Himiko rolled her eyes. "Coach's wife has yet another doctor's appointment and he just has to assist her." She looped her arm through Miya's as they headed for Himiko's locker. "I swear, if that kid isn't born soon, we're never going to have an official practice." She turned, shoving her books in her locker. "It's a good thing I run while you skate," she said, looping her arm back through Miya's as they went towards the exit. "Or I might be as out of shape as the rest of the girls." she said with a laugh as they exited the doors. "There was talk of a scrimmage game tomorrow if you want to come." she offered, stretching out for the run ahead. "But its not until later in the day. Sandra has to work and Vella has to watch her younger sister, so its set for 4."

Miya walked with Himiko to the exit and stopped as she started to stretch. She dropped her board to the ground and stood on it giong this and that. Then she put her foot down on the ground and spoke.
"I'd love to come! My mom's going to be sleeping all day... again! And the others and I haven't planned to go to the skatepark anytime soon." She smiled and got back on the board and stood still.

"Sweet." Himiko said as they took off towards Miya's. It wasn't a long trek, but with as little running as she'd been doing since Mrs. Coach became pregnant, she was glad it was a short one. Besides, she'd rather be sitting on a cozy couch eating popcorn next to Miya than running down the block.

Miya walked up to her door as they came to her house. She pulled out her keys and stuck them through the holes in the door and opened it. Her house was fairly large, but it wasn't like the houses you see on cribs. When they got inside she walked down the hall and opened the door to the basement. She spent most of her time down there. It had a kitchen, two bathrooms, entertainment room, computer room, and weight room. The entertainment room was like a home theater. There was a popcorn maker like the one's in the movies, and movie butter. She turned on the lights and walked down the steps. She walked into the entertainment room and kneeled in front of the shelf full of DVD's. She turned to Himiko.
"What do you want to watch first?"

Himiko leaned over her, looking at the shelf. "Hmm." she mumbled, absently biting her lip as she scanned the movies for the thousandth time. She picked out a couple then held the choices out to Miya. "Lady in the Water or A Walk to Remember?" she asked.

Miya thouht for moment. They had watched Lady in the Water many times before. So the coice was perfectly clear.
"A Walk to Remember." She took the DVD from her and put it into the DVD player. As the previews were playing she made popcorn and put butter on it and sat down on the couch. She put the bowl on her lap and clicked play from the menu.

"Woo." Himiko said, pulling her legs to sit cross legged next to Miya. She pulled out a bag of Skittles and offered them to Miya. "Don't tell Coach." she said slyly, dumping out a handful and tossing them in her mouth.

Miya reached her hand inside the bag and grabbed a handful. She ate a couple and looked at Himiko as she said it. She laughed a little.
"Of course. But only if you don't tell the guys." She smiled.

"As if." Himiko laughed. "I'd rather not go near them, let alone talk to them. "She put her arm around Miya. "Your secrets are safe with me." she said, looking at her friend a bit to long.

Miya stared back and then smiled. She reached into her backpack, which was sitting on the couch, and pulled out a paper. She handed it to Himiko.
"I got this from the walls at school. Guess Homecoming is coming up soon."

Himiko looked at it a minute before glancing at Miya. "You going with Steve again?" she asked, trying to make the question seem off handed. She looked at Miya, an apprehensive smile on her face.
