plastic bag made from plastic bags!i saw this on knitty gritty and it looks really cute, i know i have having all those bags around the house with no purpose.. now they have one! my suggestion to plarn is use very large needles

I've seen some really great looking crocheted tote bags using this stuff. I don't have the patience to make the yarn though.

You could knit this with some really big needles (like size 12 or 13) and turn it into a rug or something, I guess. Or a tote bag.

I tried it and it was really hard to crochet with so I gave up after a while.

I made some and knit a plarn purse/tote on 15's. It wasn't that hard to knit with but making made a huge mess all over my floor. (I'm still picking up pieces of plastic!)

im working on a mat for under my cats litter box, to keep them from tracking litter all over my apartment. my mom has been making these forever(since the age of the dinosaurs) i find using a size k hook makes it a lot easier that and twisting it slightly while you are working.

Kitty litter mat! That's a perfect idea.
If you were to knit with this, I would suggest using two tunisian hooks rather than regular knitting needles. Or, try one of those Addi Turbo Lace needles - they're made specifically for slippery things.

Wouldn't it be easier to work with the plarn if it was spun after being cut into strips? Just a thought, but wouldn't that make it a little more durable to work with?

This thread is the reason I currently have a Target bag on my drop spindle. The yarn, as you can probably guess, is white with some red striping. I'm trying to keep it so that when I get to the logo part, the ink presents itself on the outside so the red is brighter.

Why, oh why must I keep on getting inspired? I was wondering what I could practice spinning with until I can get some wool. Now I can just feel the obsessive cutting of bags coming on.
