XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXC H E R R Y G R O V E XC I T Y XXThis is the first city you visit after leaving New Bark Town. There's no Pokemon Gym here, so there's no Gym Leader to battle. All in all, Cherrygrove is not even so much of a city as it is a small town. But since there's nothing to do here, take a quick stop in at the Pokemon Center and the PokeMart before heading north to Route 30. I T E M S

As the pair entered Cherrygrove City, they were practically bombarded by an older fellow who looked very eager. "Why hello there! he said to them. "You look like a new trainer just starting out, am I right?" Glynnis nodded, though she didn't really know how this man could guess such a thing. Did she really look like such a newbie? Or maybe he just greeted everyone with a Pokemon that entered this city.
"Yes, well allow me to point out a few things for you." He pointed to a big building with a red roof. "This place is most important. It's a Pokemon Center. Go in there and they'll heal your Pokemon up for free! Your Pokemon looks a little tired, come to think of it. Battle much on your way here? That'd be a good place to stop."
He then turned to a building with a blue roof. "That's a PokeMart. They have all kinds of essential items for trainers to buy. You should stop there too. Look out for these places when you come into a new city or town on your journey." Glynnis nodded and thanked him for the advice.
"No problem, dearie. Oh! Why don't you take these with you too? They'll help you out along the way." He handed her a Map Card and a pair of running shoes. She thought it was a little weird, but took them anyway and politely said goodbye. Then she took his advice and stopped in the Pokemon Center. She approached the front desk where a woman with pink hair in a nurse's outfit was waiting. She greeted Glynnis with a friendly smile.
"Good afternoon! Can I take your Pokemon for you today? I'll heal them right up for you!" Glynnis nodded and recalled Charla back to her poke ball, then handed it over to the nurse. While her Pokemon was in the back, Glynnis took a seat in the waiting room.

As Micah entered Cherrygrove City with Tako in her pokeball, he heard a man giving lectures and decided to follow behind the group and just skip having to make the man do it all over again. He was actually being considerate. He didn't notice as the girl turned to go into the Pokecenter as the old man before him turned to him as well.
"Oh, boyo~! Take these as well." the man said, handing Micah a Map Card and a pair of running shoes as well. "I'm sure they'll do ya' well." he then continued as Micah smiled and thanked the man for his generosity, turning to enter the Pokemon Center himself to his his Taka.
Micah looked down at the pair of shoes the man had given him, which were oddly the same size as he wore. Creepy. He approached the desk where the kind Nurse Joy inquired if she could take his pokeballs from him to heal his Pokemon up. "Actually, ma'am, I just need Taka here healed up." he said, calling out his Remoraid onto the desk of the Pokemon Center. After a little fuss about how she was accustomed to taking all of the pokeballs from a trainer and healing the Pokemon at once, Micah assured the nurse that Taka was the only one who needed to be fixed up and she took the Remoraid pokeball and all to the back to heal him and Micah took a seat in the waiting room a few seats away from a younger girl. After giving it a second glance, he recognized her as the one who'd been getting the full guide from the strange old man outside the building. "Oh, hey! You were the one outside with the kind but somewhat strange old man, huh? Ha. Are the shoes he gave ya' the right size as well?" he asked with a chuckle, wondering why the old man had extra pairs of shoes on his person as well.

Glynnis looked up when the boy across from her started talking. She looked around slowly, for a moment, to see if he could have been talking to anyone else. But no one was around, and when she looked back, he was looking at her, so he must have been talking to her. She looked him over once before replying. He looked older than her, definitely, but nice enough.
"Oh, ah yeah...they're the right size," she said, in reference to the sneakers. "That was kind of creepy though...don't you think so too? He just came out of nowhere and handed us some shoes and stuff. Who does that? I mean, are people like that around these parts? I'm not really accustomed to this kind of thing. I ain't from around here," she said, making small talk with this stranger across from her. He must have been a trainer too, though, since he was healing his Pokemon here as well.

Micah had to laugh at her comment about the shoes, only because he felt exactly the same way. "Yeah! That's what I'm sayin'. I 'un know how he knew what size to give me or why he just had some shoes lyin' around. Ya' know?" he detected a bit of an accent unusual to these parts with her as well. "Oh really? I'm not sure either, as I'm from Summercity over in Fiore. Swam from there to here. Might've seen me if you rode by on one of them big ships droppin' people off." he said with a laugh. "Where'd you come from?" he then continued. "Oh, and wasn't that a Pokemon with you? So that means you're a trainer, too, huh? Well, I guess that should be an obvious one, huh? Since we're in a Pokemon Center 'n' all." he said, with the usual smile he had stretched upon his face. He'd never before in his life met another Pokemon Trainer, so he was quite excited that he was now getting the chance to talk with one, though he had to wonder if she'd just started out on her journey as well, since it seemed New Bark Town was sort of a starting point for traveling across the Johto region. He wondered what type of Pokemon her partner was and if they got along, all sorts of stuff, he found this all very exciting.

Glynnis laughed at the comment too. Creepy old men and their strange ways...Then he mentioned that he wasn't from around here either. But that bit about him swimming caught her a little off-guard.
"You...swam?" she repeated, not sure if she heard correctly. She didn't know too much geography, but she was sure the only region connected to Johto was Kanto. She'd never heard of Fiore, but it couldn't have been close enough for anyone to swim across, now could it. "That's a little...unconventional...Well, anyhow, I'm from the Orre region. Pyrite to be exact. It's a whole different world over there. Nuthin' like this place."
The conversation was casual enough. He brought up Pokemon and mentioned about her being a trainer. He must have been thinking along the same lines as she was earlier. She nodded in response, then realized that hadn't really introduced themselves.
"I'm Glynnis, by the way. Glynnis Kellerman. But a lot of people call me Glynn or Glynnie for short. I guess it's also easier to say," she laughed at that. They were cuter pet names, anyway, so she could see why people preferred them. "I don't care either way what you prefer to cal me though."

"Eh. The swim wasn't actually all that bad. I swam from Summerland, or Summercity, as I sometimes call it, it's a long story, to Lavender Town. Traveled from there to Vermilion City and from there, swam straight on to New Bark Town. I suppose I could've tried makin' my way to Pallet, but to be honest, there's a particular place in Johto I'd like to visit." he said with a grin upon his face, as the girl then began to introduce herself. "Oh! I'm mighty sorry. The name's Micheal Ariel Rivers. But most just call me Micah. I actually prefer it." Micah then commenced to tapping his chin briefly, examining her to see which fit her best to him. "You feel like a Glynnis to me." he said with a shrug, not minding her actual name in the least. "So, you wanna tell me a lil' about yer partner? If ya' don't mind, I mean. I'm just rather interested in people's relationships with their Pokemon. Me and Taka get along swimmingly~" he said with a light chuckle as his eyes then wandered to the back room briefly to see if they could catch a glimpse of the small fish jet Pokemon.

When Micah asked about her Pokemon, she had to stop and think about it. She wondered if Micah got his Pokemon in New Bark too, or had it for a while. "Well, I'm kind of new at this whole trainer thing. I just learned all this stuff. We don't really have a lot of Pokemon just runnin' wild back home. So, I just got my parner Pokemon from Prof. Elm in New Bark Town. She's a Charmander. I got to pick her from a selection of three. I don't know why I picked her, 'cuz quite honestly she looks hard to train. She doesn't say much and she's kinda stuck-up almost in a way. But I think she just has high standards. I dunno, maybe I kinda see myself in her, so that's why I picked her? I think that must be it. I feel like we have a mutual understanding of each other, making us a good match."
Glynnis turned the conversation back to him, not really wanting to talk about herself the whole time. She was curious, too. "What about you and your Pokemon? Where'd you get 'em, if you don't mind me asking either?"

Micah sat and listened intently with the regular smile etched upon his face. "Aw. How neat." he said, being rather genuine, though it could maybe come across as mocking. "Hm? Where'd I get Taka? She was caught out in Safra Sea by some poachers looking for more rare Pokemon. They were pickin' on her mighty good, and I was already out there, so I er . . . well, to put it frankly, I climbed aboard and beat the snot out of 'em. She was in real bad condition, so I took 'er home to nurse her back to health. I was actually gonna release her after she was better, but we took a real likin' to each other, yep. So my older brother lent me one of his pokeballs and I officially caught her. After a while, I could tell that she was startin' to itch for adventure, and I'd always wanted to try becoming a trainer as they did on TV, so we set out for Johto, seein' as they don't have any gyms in Fiore." he said with a laugh, then realizing he was talking quite a deal. "I don' mean to talk about myself so much, I guess it was a rather long story." he said, then shifting in his seat. In this light it was quite obvious that Glynnis was a deal younger than him. She actually reminded him just a bit of his sister back home. But Glynnis was far less of a brat, it seemed.
Micah's eyes then wandered up to the counter to see if the Pokemon were healed, to see Nurse Joy returning with a handful of pokeballs. Micah then was forced to notice that a few other trainers had come in since they'd started their discussion to get their Pokemon healed as well.

Glynnis, too, noticed Nurse Joy return with their Pokemon. She got up a made her way over to the counter, picking up the poke ball and thanking Nurse Joy for taking care of her Pokemon. She released Charla from the ball, preferring to have her travel around with her outside of it. Charla looked a lot healthy than when she had first brought her in, for which she was glad. She made a note to stop at these Pokemon Centers often, whenever she could, after she'd had a long day of battling.
Once she had Charla with her, Glynnis turned her attention back to Micah. "Well, hey...it was nice talking to you. I'm heading up to the route north of here. Prof. Elm said there was a man up there I should stop in and see on my way to Violet City. So, I think I'm going to check that out. Hopefully, with this new Map Card on my Pokegear that that creepy old guy gave me, I'll be able to find my way around this okay."
OOC: I figured you could just be like, 'oh I'm heading that way too.' Lol, I'm not ditching you or anything. Just trying to make the RP flow nicely.

Micah stood from his seat as well, walking over to the Nurse Joy and taking his pokeball back from the Nurse Joy, though, he'd leave his Remoraid in it's pokeball, as Remoraid couldn't really swim through the air that efficiently, being a water-type Pokemon with out arms, legs, or some sort of way to psychokinetically float itself. Though, he'd heard of water/flying type Pokemon that could float in essence. Once Glynnis mentioned where her next destination was, Micah took a look at his own map to find that it was exactly where he was headed as well. "Whoa! I'm headed on that path, too! Maybe we could travel for a ways . . . I mean unless our paths divert from each other, you know? If we're on the same path, might as well have a lil' travellin' company, eh?" he said with a smile as he made his way to the exit of the Pokemon Center.

"Oh, really? Well, in that case...I guess we could go together then," Glynnis said. If they were headed the same way anyway, it only seemed to make sense that they travel together. Otherwise, it would probably feel like they were following each other anyway, which was a little weird in a way. "It would be nice to have some company, too. I could probably use some assistance too, being a newbie at this whole trainer-thing and all." She laughed at that. But Prof. Elm's advice was only going to get her so far. It would be helpful to have someone else around keeping her on track. Besides, Charla wasn't much of a conversationalist and Glynn would probably go stir-crazy after a while.
"Just don't hold me back from my training or anything," she added, seriously. "I may be new at this and all, but I'm still gonna be the best trainer there is one day! So I need to focus on getting stronger, too."

"Sounds like a plan." Micah said first as he held open the door for Glynnis to exit. "And no need to worry about me holding you back. My goal is to become a gym leader one day. Hopefully I can even rise to the Elite 4! Champion, even! I can only dream." he said with a smile on his face. "Well, shall we head on?" he then asked, glancing down at the Map being displayed on his Pokegear. "It looks like from here we'll need to take the north exit to Route 30." he said, finishing with a nod. Then, following Glynnis out of the door and to their next destination. It made Micah glad that he'd found someone to travel with. Even if she was younger, she seemed serious enough about her training, and Micah wasn't lookin' for a relationship or anything, merely a traveling partner. Relationships were something Micah actually rarely thought about. If he ever came across someone he really liked, of course he wouldn't pass up the opportunity, it's just that's no where near his top priority. Right now, his attention was dead-set on becoming a renown water-type Pokemon specialist. Then from there, who knows~

╭ Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalala ╮ ╰ Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalala ╯ ☣Hoshi Maban☣ Hoshi thought over what Natalie had said about someone making balls out of apricorn as she followed her friend and Sophie into Cherrygrove City. It was an interesting concept. Plus, if the person would do it for free for them then they could save some money on buying pokeballs. It also made Hoshi think if there would be any differences between regular balls and these apricorn ones. She pushed the thoughts from her mind. She'd find out when they'd find the person who could make them. A few steps upon entering an older gentleman approached the pair and their pokemon. "You two are new trainers, right? Anyone coming New Bark usually are. Here, I'll show you guys around." He grabbed the girls by the wrist and began dragging them along. He stopped infront of a building with a red roof. "This here is a pokemon center. You can heal your pokemon for free here." The next placed he dragged them two was right next to the center. This one had a blue roof. "And this one is the pokemart. You can buy all sorts of useful items here that'll help you on both of your journey." The man started to walk away, leaving Hoshi slightly confused and grateful, when he turned back to them. "I forgot something," the man said. He handed both girls a map card and running shoes. "The map card adds a map to your poketech, pokenavi or whatever you kids call them these days. The shoes allow you to run faster than the wind. That's it, bye." He then left the pair. Hoshi was stunned silent and forgot to thank the man, who ever he was. She just stared after him, confused beyond all hope. It was then that Coral decided to help her trainer. She grabbed her trainer's cheek and pulled it, hoping to wake her trainer from her stupor. It did. "Never do that again," Hoshi growled to her Aipom. Coral chittered happily, her trainer was back to normal. Hoshi stretched and considered what to donext. She glanced at Coral and remembered her AIpom had gotten hit earlier. "I think I'm going to head to the pokemon center real quick and that's all I have to do," she said. She wanted to inform Nat of what she was doing. Hoshi didn't want it to seem like she was abandoning her. As Hoshi was heading for the pokemon center, Coral suddenly jumped from her shoulder. Hoshi thought nothing of it. Her pokemon did this a lot of the times and often caused trouble. Maybe she should start worrying. The aipom picked something off the ground. 'You better not be putting anything off the ground into your mouth," Hoshi called out. Coral looked back at her trainer as if to ask if Hoshi actually thought she would. The aipom made her way back to her trainer and handed what she picked up to her. Hoshi took it and was surprised to see a hyper potion. "Ah, thank you."Coral smiled cheekily and resumed her usual place on her trainer. As they entered the center, the Nurse greeted them. "Hello. I'm Nurse Joy. May I heal your pokemon." Coral grabbed dream's ball and her own from her trainer and jumped into Joy's arms. It only took a few minutes for the pokemon to be healed. Nurse Joy handed the pokeballs back-Coral was placed in her's-with a smile. Hoshi tried to smile back but failed. Her 'smile' looked very much like an evil looking smirk-although, Hoshi had n o clue what it looked like. ((OOC: It's completely alright.
