I am interested to find out what books (apart from Austen-related books) you guys enjoy reading.
Whose you (2nd) favourite author? Favourite book? Favourite genre? What are you currently reading? Any recommendations?

I don't believe i have a second favorite author, except for Edgar Allan Poe. But I'm all over the place with genres. One minute I'll be feeling like I should be reading angst and the next I'll need some perk. I really like the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers. Atonement is an amazing book. It's by Ian McEwan. It's a little into the sexual situations at times, so not really for immature readers.

My favourite book at the moment is Jane Eyre. Sigh. I can never get tired of reading it. I also like To Kill A Mockingbird, and I'm currently reading 1984, which I've read before and it freaked me out then. I'm up to the really freaky part now, so I think I'll be having nightmares soon. And I recently read A Streetcar Named Desire. <3.
Oh, and my favourite Australian book ever is Cloudstreet, by Tim Winton. <3

Favourite author is always a hard one for me.
Dianna Wynne Jones, Robin McKinley, Scott Westerfeld, Sherryl Jordan are all up there.
Genre, I mostly read fantasy these days, though I also really love the classics (can you tell) and books with Historic themes.
Fave book..... I'll get back to you on that one... no wait... The Bible!
I am currently reading a book called "The curse of the Blue Tattoo" can't remeber the author, it's the sequel to a book called "Bloody Jake". Next I am going to read "The Merlin Conspiracy" by Dianna Wynne Jones
I would recommend that you read "The Raging Quiet" By Sherryl Jordan. In fact I insist that you buy the book!

Dewdew, I LOVE Diana Wynne Jones! I can't find any more of her books ANYWHERE though, and I desperately want to read Howl's Moving Castle (love the movie). Fire and Hemlock and Hexwood are amazing. I might have to check out Amazon or something. I'm also looking for the Muse biography.
