The Best:
Definitely Rekka no Ken or the original Fire Emblem for GBA. That was a classy game with the best plot, greatest characters and had the BEST support conversations! Plus, the official art is the best. And it was the first Fire Emblem I ever had so I have nice memories.
The Worst:
Sacred Stones. However many complaints I have with Path of Radiance, Sacred Stones win by far. It's the opposite of pretty much everything I said above and more. The villain wasn't even all that villainous! gonk
So, what do you think?

Generally the first you play of anything will typically be the 'best'.
As is with Final Fantasy.
I can't say what the worst FE was generally because I don't...quite remeber all to much of FE or SS. XD
I love PoT and RD for all the new things. I guess I can be angry at the supports in RD but nothing more.

I don't have a worst one, I like them all for what they are. In fact I like SS because even after you complete the game, you can continue to use the chracters for awhile, which I what I find neat.

I loved some of the characters in SS, but I agree with Primmy: it was butchered. There wasn't near enough official art (therefore I created my own XD) and the storyline was choppy and incomplete. Much as I loved Lyon, he just WASN'T BAD ENOUGH.

Yea, Sacred Stones has to be one of my least favroite ones, the end boss was really easy and not at all scary, plus Lyon did need to be alot more villainous, but that's more of the Demon King's fault, but it did have more of bond of friendship than the others. But, yea...Lack of official art and then some of the characters were just plain ugly.
But, I have to say that either Radiant Dawn of Fire Emblem 6 were the better ones for me. I mean in Radiant Dawn the music was great, it was longer, you could play as alot of characters, and then the graphics... Oh, gosh, they were so beauitful and the interactivity was to die for...

I loved Radiant Dawn because I love Naesala, and Naesala was given a large role in the game if you used him the right way. XD The only upside for me about Sacred Stones was Innes. Yes, I usually base games off of the characters in them. ^^' It's a bad habit of mine.

i definately say rekka no ken; but sacred stones was good too!!
sacred stones had the active map environment where you got to choose where you wanted to go instead of playing chapter-by-chapter like in rekka no ken. you also got to choose what your characters upgraded into.
that being said, the plot, story, and mystery behind rekka no ken were definately better than sacred stones. each character had his/her own story behind them. (including most villains)

Rekka no Ken was my favourite. The characters were some of the best, and there villains were good too. And the plot was good as well! Path of radiance was OK, but a lot of there characters seem to be poor imitations of old ones, or are just joke characters. (Devdan? Brom? Makalov?) And I haven't played Radiant Dawn, so I can't comment. DX;;
I don't really have a worst Fire Emblem game. I mean, I strongly dislike certain parts of all the games ... But Sacred Stones never even welled up any sort of passionate emotion in me. Not hate not like ... But it's probably my least favourite.

My favorite is FE7, because the characters are what made me fall in love with Fire Emblem in the first place. X3 I don't really dislike any of them, really. Although Sacred Stones was a tad bit boring. I didn't like some of the characters in there all that much.

I'm probably going to be alone on this one (and look elitest too cry ) but...
As much as I like FE7, I liked FE5 more. I haven't completed it because my Japanese isn't that great. FE5, to me, seems more wholesome. The place names are actually important and the people have strong family lines. I like the music 10x more and the sprites 100x more. I like the character designs more too. I just wish I could understand more.
Worst? Path of Radiance. The second I found out this game had demi-human races I wanted no part of it. It has a horrific storyline, virtually unlikeable recruitable characters, bland music and it's 3D. Mega mega mega thumbs down.
That's my verdict! Attack me if you must! You can even try and kill me, just.... let me sign all the 'translate FE5' petitions first! lol

Well, I haven't played FE5... The only Japanese game I've played, that they haven't sent over, is FE6.

Dang it! I want to play that game!
Eyvel and Asvel look SO cool! heart And Karin is just the cutest! They all look so cool, actually... Tania, Mareeta and Lifus!^^
And it seems like a deeper game than the others.

Ive heard that the earlier games have gigantic maps that take hours to complete on a normal basis. If so, that would be cool. Though the game reviewers would all complain it's too difficult for anything except die-hard fans...

Though the game reviewers would all complain it's too difficult for anything except die-hard fans... Don't we qualify? -grins- I started.... Seisen no Keifu the other day I think it was. That and Sword of Seals both. <3 I'm not very far into either game yet though. I liked SS personally. Then again there's some biased there due to certain things. ^_^ I agree with Queeny about PoR. Finding out about Demi-humans and the like has made me weary.
