It was a cold Night in January, and Slade sat on the very top of his fathers corpert buidling of mad science and meta miliatry operation. The wind chilled and peirced his coat for once it felt good to be alone to be so d quiet and away from his father dreadfull tests he ran on him, "why is my life s full of snap," he quietly whispered to the stars.

((I'm making up a first name for her. Don't ask how I got this name xD))
Ashley Morkov pulled her coat tight as she strolled along the sidewalk near the city's edge. She had been out all night, and her parents would probably kill her more than usual if she came home at this time. She leaned against the wall as she tried to think up a good explaination why she had not been home. But only silence came back from her question.

stareing beow past his feet Slade noticed Ashly and he felt happy for a while, and excitedly waved down to her," Hey up here!" he called to her and started to getup but forget how muc his body ached with pain from the last test he had undergoan and sunk down into his seat again and gave her a weak smile.

Ashley stared up and smiled. A small piece of the concrete sidewalk came up from it's foundation and under Ashley's feet. Quickly, and silently, she came to Slade's level and slowly stepped her foot onto the roof of the building.

(sorry it took so long to anwer...my ocmp uis slow)
Slade lowered his head and blushed he ws glad she wanted to come up here with him, "how are you?" he mumbled not used ot having much of a friendship with anyone. Carefuly Slade tried to scoot over to share the ledge and grunted under his pressure of pain.

"Eh.." Ashley mumbled as she looked Slade over. "But you look worse off than me." She joked and sat down on the edge next to him. She let her legs hang off and swung them back and forth letting them hit the building.

"its ok..-I'll-be..alright!" he suddenly broke into a little sb and covered his face with his hands. HE knew it was alright to be weak infront of Ashley she didn't mind, but his father oh no Slade would never show any emotion around him for the dread of beaing hit was something he learned to hate and suffer through.

"Uhm... It's ok..?" Ashley said, gently and akwardly patting him on the back. She wasn't exaclty used to seeing a guy randomly break out into tears.

takign in a deep breath Slade calmed himself and his face regained a stone like quality.
"my dad ran more tests on me today...painfull ones," he told Ashley quietly wishing he had her ability instead of the implanted one.

"That stinks." Ashley said with little sympathy. "Anything I can do?" She still asked. Slade was her friend, she wouldn't ditch him... most of the time.

"I doubt you can stop him, he wants to turn me into an ultimate war machine, i don't' know why, its stupid, and it hurst, i just want to forget it, but not even my body lets me," Slade sighed and looked at Ashley wishing she coudl show more emotions, he wanted to show more but had to be careful, and yet she let him but would not seem to show many when he did.

Ashley let out a smile. "A war machine? Does that mean you'll have bigger guns?" She joked and poked Slade in the stomach, hoping she hadn't poked him as hard as she thought.

"err," he squinted one eye she hit a bruse it was not to hard to do since he had them all over his body, he smiled a crooked pianfull one and nodded, "m-maybe, mostly he wants me to be meta human." Slade tried to explain but was glad she had tried to make him laugh.

"Metahumans are old news." Ashley said as she stood up and let out a long yawn. "Can I crash here for the night?" She then asked with a small smile.

"maybe an old deal but my dad htinks he has some way to make it even stronger so that i won't ever die and can be a one man army or something...i don't get it..." Slade sighed and looked at ahsley..well if you want ot...i'd really like the company...i'm so tired but i'm sorta afraid to sleep."
