All was normal in the city of New York, it was just like every other bustling day in the middle of winter. Snow covered the cement sidewalks in the early morning as people walked to and fro, Cars stopping, going, horns honking...
it was a usual day.
But for a certain couple, in a certain apartment...it was anything but.

"Wh-what!? Are you crazy!?" Lorne was mentally balking at her suggestion, why was she doing this to him NOW of all times!?

Rose had her hands on her hips, unbudging in her conviction.
"I want to go home and see my parents." One hand left her hip to point a slightly accusatory finger at the panicked male before her. "And you are coming with me. You got me into this, it all started with you." She huffed and looked down, "Besides... I don't know another bodygaurd."

"I didn't GET you into anything! You were born into it!" he threw his hands in the air "How many times do I have to tell you that!?" he huffed and clenched his fists at his side. These were her PARENTS. She hadn't HAD those last time, neither had he for that matter!
So yes, he was panicking.

Mira shook her head. "They're her parents Papa. She loves them like I love you!" She held up a finger. "And remember, even if she's reincarnated, she couldn't have been if she hadn't had parents to bring her into the world... or, back into the world I guess."

"They have a right to know what's going on!" Rose crossed her arms, giving Mira a smile for taking her side. She was not quite right with this young woman only a few physical years younger being her daughter, but she had accepted her as a friend.
"I've hardly talked to them but they know that something is up..." Rose leveled her gaze at Lorne. "Either I you meet them and we tell them everything, including abotu me an you... or I go home alone and stay that way."

Lorne's jaw dropped and he stared at both of them "Spwuh- But- I- " his canine ears showed and they drooped "That's just not fair Rose! That's- That's blackmail!" he argued, knowing he wasn't going to win this and Damn it all she knew it too.
And Even Mira was siding with her!!

While Rose could not deny her attractions towards him, Lorne would have to learn that she was not going to fall into his arms 'again'. Whoever this Poe person was, was not who was standing in the center of the livingroom glaring at him. Despite the memory leaks, and other funky things that had happened. She was her own entity.

Lorne glared back for a few moments before he visibly deflated and his ears drooped more "Blasted woman...FINE. Fine....I'll make arrangements to leave..." he pouted and walked back to the bedroom with his not so figurative tail between his legs.
I hate losing...

"Can I come meet my grandma and grandpa?" asked Mira excitedly. She wondered what her parents must have been like, to have raised as fiery a spirit as Rose.

Having won Rose sighed then looked at Mira, she got a worried expression. Things would be tenative already, her parents had not seen the things Rose had seen and even then she had trouble believing. She was concerned that Mira's loving and over affectionate nature might complicate things. The young woman did not seem to be one that liked keeping secret.
"Ah... I don't know." She did not want to dissapoint Mira, the Kitsune could sulk better than soem pampered premadonnas she had known in her career as an actress.

Lorne came back out a few minutes later, looking less canine and with a paper in his hand "When exactly do you want to leave-" he caught sight of the two women looking at each other and figured what had been asked...He wondered if that would be a good or bad idea...
"Mira, it may be better for Rose's parents if it's just me visiting with her the first time. You realize what we're going to have to explain don't you?"

Even if she had been using unfair pressure to force Lorne into a decision before Rose smiled at him now as he supported her idea for the situation. That was one of the oddeties to their relationship. She could not easily stay mad at him, or rarer yet, she gets bad for reasons she cannot remember. During those times Rose resented this other influence on her life now.
"Lorne is right, I would like to ease my parents into this. But they must be told.."

Lorne chuckled and walked over, ruffling her hair "Of course you will silly." he looked at Rose then and tilted his head to the side a little, making some of his hair fall over his shoulder "So, back to my previous question, when do you want to leave?"
