Okay so Logan has been going through this thing where he's being super mean to his big sister for some reason.

He's always throwing things at her or hitting her, and I'm trying to make him understand but the second that I even look at him stern he knows that he's in trouble and just starts screaming because he doesn't want a time out. And to boot my time outs don't even seem to be working gonk

But another part of this is my daughter Aisha she's 6 and she's ALWAYS telling on Logan, I mean some of the things she brings up I understand and it's good that she tells us, but some of the things are just minor things that she doesn't need to be bugging us about every five mins.

Anybody have any suggestions?

well my baby is 6mo but my lil bro and i are 4 years apart and did the same stuff.

for logan: if he throws the toy, pick it up then tell him that it is NOT ok to hurt people, then put the toy out of his reach or sight for a week.

for ur princess: tell her that tattling is not ok. try sumthing like "if logan is hurting himself or others, or is trying to do something dangerous, tell me right away. but if he is just being annoying then try to find another room or toy to play with."

I've just started the taking away toys thing. I haven't been able to do it with Logan yet though because Aisha has been grounded for cheating on her school work and then lying about it to her teacher so he hasn't been able to be mean to her yet.

And as for my little princess, I've told her that before but I can't seem to make her understand. She's got a real problem listening.

So far though I think that maybe the only person in the guild that knows at this point is my vice-cap'n

But I'm not Aisha or Logan's birth mother, Aisha was 5 and Logan was 1 when I came into the picture, their real mother said the family life "wasn't her thing" so she left them, she doesn't call or send gifts on birthdays or christmas or anything, Logan has forgotten who she is and has made his bond with me, some day we're going to have to explain to him that I'm not his real mom.

I think of these children as my own though they both call me mom. But I think Aisha is just going through a hard time because she's realizing that her mother does lie to her on the rare occasions that she does phone. Aisha talks of her real mom as "mean" and a "liar" these things are true but I stay away from it and I let them make up their own minds about her. I'm not going to make them dislike her.

So I think maybe as far as Aisha's listening skills are going right now we're just going to have to keep doing what we're doing and wait for her to relax. She's happy with us but she's angry with her real mother. She takes it out on the people around her but doesn't realize that she's only hurting herself in the end.

oh my goodness..... i had no idea! she's prolly trying sumthing like testing your patience to see if you'll leave her too... i guess all to do is tell her every day that you love her and you always will no matter what. though u prolly do that already......

Lol yeah we're always throwing around I love you's in this house!

Haha one time she actually asked me

"mama what if daddy leaves us, then it'll just be me and Logan and you"

It was so hard not to laugh at that question it was just too innocent and cute! I explained that no matter what happened daddy would always be there and I told her that daddy probably isn't going to leave me and mommy doesn't want to leave daddy so there's nothing to worry about.
