I know, I know, there's already lots of threads in the main Gaia forums for anime, but I think you guys will more much nicer about it... I'm tired of people bashing everyone for what they like -.-
Anyways, anyone like anime?!?!?!?! I have a HUGE collection, I've been collecting since I was 12.
Some of my favourite series are: Bleach, D. Gray-man, Blood+, Cardcaptor Sakura, Ghost in the Shell (movies and series), Fullmetal Alchemist, Loveless, Shaman King, Dragonball Z (I am obsessed with Vegeta; I have him tattooed on my leg!!!!!!), Azumanga Daioh, Slayers, Burst Angel, Kiddy Grade, Naruto, Chobits.... and many others!
Also, I refuse to watch anime on TV, unless it's on Adult Swim or the IFC, because North American companies completely ruin anime by editing, dubbing, etc. So I either buy it or download it so I can watch it in it's full, uncut Japanese glory!

You have Vegeta tattooed on your leg? That is just beyond awesome. XD I was such a huge DragonBall Z fangirl when I was younger. I'd watch it religiously with my brother, and then we'd run around the house calling ourselves super saiyans and wrestling. Nowadays I have no idea how I struggled through the horrible dubbing, even at that age. >_>; I was so obsessed with Goku, though. Do you remember the part where he was on... um... oh, it's been so long. The planet he fought Frieza on, and then it looked like the planet blew up while Goku was still on it? I totally freaked out over that and wailed to my mom about how Goku might be dead. XD

Sort-of-unfortunately-but-not-really, all my money usually gets spent on books, so my retail anime and manga collection is almost microscopic. I do download a whole pile, though, and I will save up to get the series on DVD if I really, really like it. My top favourites are Escaflowne, Air, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Loveless, Kyou Kara Maou!, and Gundam Wing, though there are so many...

So, yes, I like anime. biggrin

Yay for Loveless! I love cat-boys ^^

Most people probably like anime, some just don't realize it while others wont admit it. rolleyes

I love anime, but for the most part I'm restricted to dubbed anime. I've seen Loveless, Strawberry Panic, and Princess Tutu in subbed form. Other than that I like Bleach, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Saiyuki Reload, Mirage of Blaze, and though this one embarrass me a lot, Beyblade. redface I like to claim that the reason I watch it is to stay in touch with my childhood. Which is somewhat true.

Aww, don't be embarrassed! Me and my friend were two of the most rabid Beyblade fangirls you would ever encounter when the show was airing dubbed, and I'm not ashamed. XD The dubbing and story was, well, absolutely horrendous, but just the fact that it brought Rei and Kai into existence changed my life and I love it to pieces still. :3

@Crispy: Catboys are the reason we're alive XD!

I loooooooove shonen-ai, yaoi, slash..... I'm a perv. Zetsuai is still one of the best yaoi anime I've ever seen... Level C was kinda weird, but I only had the Japanese version with no subs O.o... Gravitation and Loveless are both very cute shonen-ai anime ^^ Any other suggestions for yaoi/shonen-ai anime for me?

Mirage of Blaze is a really good shounen-ai/yaoi show. It isn't really the main focus though. Also, their is a lot going on in the plot. So if you start in the middle, or skip an episode, you'll be extremely confused. I speak from experience, gonk .

Sounds like when I tried to watch Deathnote from episode 5.... O.o I had NO CLUE what was going on. But I've watched most of the series now, so I'm not feeling as dumb as I was.

Ufufufu! I love finding other yaoi fangirls. XD (I'm a perv, too. +_+) Hmmm, Zetsuai was kind of really weird to me. o_o ... And now I can't remember why I thought that. XD I only watched the OVA, so it was super confusing, but it never made me want to get the manga. :/ Oh, Level C IS weird. XD; It's been a while since I watched it, but the story was like... the one got kicked out of his apartment so he needed somewhere to go and offered the other guy *ahem—PG-13, right? XD* as rent, pretty much, if he let him stay there. It's basically one of those mindless yaoi OVAs. XD Gravitation and Loveless = gods in the shounen-ai world. ^_^ Ah, yeah, I watched Mirage of Blaze a while ago. Yet I can't really remember a lot of it for some reason... I just know the mild romance that was there was interesting, but the rest of the show creeped me out something awful. XD (I'm so easily scared it's rather ridiculous.)

As for suggestions... There are far more mangas out there to do with the subject, but I'll ponder on some anime for ya. Okane ga Nai is the first that comes to mind, if you haven't seen it. It's another yaoi classic, and Ayase is beyond adorable! You want to squiiiiish him~ Oh, there's of course Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness), if you haven't seen it? It's very, very light shounen-ai—until Muraki starts trying to molest Tsuzuki. XD The manga has a bit more BL in it, like many more scenes of the Count obsessing over Tsuzuki. Sukisho is another, an absolutely adorable shounen-ai with a few hot make-out scenes. XD On the yaoi front I'd recommend Saigo no Door wo Shimero/Close the Last Door. It's very steamy, although it's one of those where they definitely do something, you just don't get to see all the bits. XD And it's got a ridiculous cliffhanger that screams at you to get the manga. =P

Ack, I really have to run now. XD Maybe someone should make a yaoi/shounen-ai/BL board for us to continue this on? -_^ I'll come back with more suggestions after I go shopping!

I liked Yami no Matsuei, it was cute ^^... not as cute as Gravitation, though. LOVE that series!!!!!
Thanks for the other suggestions Toady-chan! I'll definitely look into them ^-^

whee I love Gravitation. But I don't watch the anime, I read the manga. I only have the first four so far. heart

Stick with the manga, it's so much better than the series & OVA in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the anime is very good, and sooooo adorable... but the manga just has so much in it, especially character development wise... and also has much better love love scenes XD

I saw the beginning of the first episode, and I'm planning on sticking with the manga. It's so cute! My brother was desperate to read something, so he attempted to read the series. But it freaked him out to much. But he did make it to the third manga, somehow.
