Setting: Merope, a busy little town filled with joyous laughter and music. Pubs and eateries line the sides of the roads, with a few simple shops scattered between. In the center square is a large stone fountain, depicting the First (first Star to make herself a humanoid body) with her trusty Terran at her side.
Plot: The train broke down (luckily it was so close to the heart of Merope!!) while taking M class Starlets to their homes. Mostly for the season starlets to get to know each other, but others are more than welcome!
Rules: 1. Follow the rules listed in the Wasat & Alcyone forum. 2. Try to include as many people as you can, develop a posting order if possible. 3. Profiles go in journals, not in ze thread.

((ARE YOU READY FOR AN EPIC FAIL??))
Something like this could only happen to me... Desmond mumbled under his breath as he stepped off the rather comparatively large train, each step off a large leap as he made his way down. He gazed around sharply, his knowing eyes soaking up every last detail, every face of every merchant, and every... wait, what is that? He looked up the large fountain standing before him. Memorized he took shaky steps towards it. He'd heard tales of the fountain from his old caretaker, but never had been able to experience it in real life. It simply stole his breath away; never had he seen anything like it. He dipped his hand in the cool water, disturbing it's peaceful balance. Frightened at this mini-commotion he had caused among the natural order, he ripped his hand, and trotted off. Soon, a smell caught his attention. A faint sugary aroma, like that of a cookie, or melon bread. Huddled in the corner of the street was a small bakery; the sweet smell drifting from it. Cautiously he walked inside, wary of anyone larger than him (everyone). An old lady at the counter introduced herself to him, and welcomed him to her humble bakery. Her benign manner made him genuinely smile at her, as he bought his two loafs of melon bread and walked out. He sat on a bench near the fountain, leaving an open space next to him.
((Anyone want some melon bread ;]))

Stefan sighed quietly to himself when the train broke down. It wasn't so much of a shock to him, trains had a tendancy to do that from time to time. No, the older male was much more worried about his smaller, more emotional companion. Steady brown eyes looked down at the small boy beside him. He blinked, and shook his head lightly when he saw that Florence was looking up at him with fear and confusion in his eyes, as well as a few tears that were welling up. "Hey," the older male said gentle, with a lick of tenderness in his voice as he knelt down onto one knee, gently putting his hands on his companion's shoulders. "I'll have none of that now, okay? The train just needs to be fixed, a little bit of a delay, that's all. Nothing bad is going to happen, alright?" Stefan watched the younger male with his composure collected about him, offering a faint smile to help the young one relax his jumpy nerves. "You're not alone, you've got me with you... Come on, onto my shoulders. We'll go get some food and drinks."
Florence stared up at Stefan, sniffling and listening to his soft, calming words. After a few deep breaths, and the mention of food, Flo's mood made a remarkable turn. He giggled and nodded, scrambling up onto Stefan's shoulders, resting his little hands into the dark, silky locks of brown hair. He giggled all the way off the train, pointing at things and cooing, as if he were still but a baby. He stared with wide-eyes as he saw the other boy touching the water of the fountain, and wondered if that was a bad thing to do... Like the time when he himself had thrown snowballs at people's houses, and got in trouble with his old caretaker. Oh well. He didn't like his old caretaker anyway, she was a bitter meaner. That's all she was. A meaner. Blinking, he looked around at all the shops, then the specific shop they were walking towards. A sweets shop! Only moments were spent inside before they both moved back into the streets, Stefan with a slice of cheesecake, and Florence with a rather large package of fresh peanut butter cookies. Now, it was just the search to find a place to sit and eat...

Desmond looked up from his scrumptious meal, only two notice two fellow starlets off the decrepit train searching for a place to eat. The small one looked like a good companion, and the tall one, well, had beautiful golden brown hair. Desmond looked away quickly, at fear of being accused of staring, and pondered what he would look like when older. ((I already know so Ha!)) In an unusual wave of socialism, he waved to the two fellow lost starlets, offering them his bench and his other loaf of melon bread; he wouldn't be eating it.

Stefan pre-occupied himself with looking around for any open spot, where they could enjoy their meal without having to worry about people bumping into them, or any thing of that sort. It wasn't that the older male was anti-social, he liked people well enough, it was just that he couldn't enjoy a meal properly if he was positioned in someone's way. It didn't seem like any of the other Starlets had yet to get off the train. Perhaps they were gathering their money, or perhaps they were already exploring the other shops... Who knew? Stefan felt his stomach rumbling, and he glanced down towards his cheesecake, then felt a light kick to his chest. Glancing upwards, he looked to where Florence was pointing, and smiled faintly. Ah, another small one. Perhaps this other young boy would be able to keep Florence entertained? Give him someone closer to his own age to talk about... things-- Stefan had long since forgotten what it was that he used to desire when he was younger.
Florence smiled happily, denim blue eyes locked onto the other boy. He looked about the same age! A potential friend was always the cause of a good mood in this young Starlet. But, of course, as with all good things there came crashing waves of doubts and worries. Hopefully it would pass before they reached the other boy, or he'd make a fool of himself for sure! Florence wondered the typical things in anyone's mind: What if he doesn't like me? What if he's a different class? What if he makes fun of me? And then, the not so typical things: Oh no! What if he makes me laugh, and I close my eyes to laugh, and he steals all of my cookies and runs away!? But, of course, all these usual and unusual thoughts passed through his mind quickly enough for him to smile brightly just as they sat down, though he stayed perched on the older male's shoulders. "Hi~ My name is Florence, and this is my bubba, Stefan!"

Desmond gazed up at the boy on the young man's shoulders. Up there he looked, well frankly, tall. Soon he was wishing the man, had he said his name was Stefan? would set him down, so he could at least get a proper look at him. What if he's not nice, what if he's a kleptomaniac, what if the tall one's a mass murderer? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Why did I invite them over here!? Despite all his self doubts, Desmond grabbed Stefan's hand shook it with his dainty little hand. "Hello," he spoke clearly, "My name is Desmond, it's a pleasure to meet you Florence and Stefen." He climbed on top of the bench and shook the shorter one's hand. "Would you be interested in some of my left over melon bread?"

Stefan smiled faintly and shook Desmond's hand lightly in return, then nodded. "It is nice to meet you, Desmond." The taller male slowly stood up, and plucked Florence from his shoulders, and despite his younger companion's pout, set him down on the bench beside Desmond. "I have more shopping to do, Florence. Do you promise to stay right on this bench and wait...? I won't be too long, I promise."
Florence had happily returned the handshake, grinning like a fool. "Pleasure to meet you, Desmond. You can call me Flo." The grinning on the young boy's face ended when his 'bubba' stood up and set him down onto the bench. He sat there quietly, eyes wide, staring up at the older man while listening to his words. Silently, he nodded. "Okay... just don't forget about me, alright?" He nodded, and watched Stefan walk away, then looked to Desmond. "You don't think he'll forget to come back for me, do you?" Being left behind was obviously a worry that lurked on this young boy's mind.
