Its not a brand its a weapon. Its a Systema Personal Training Weapon(PTW) The cost is usually 1200-1400 base and a new upgrade cylinder is like $100.

Worth it for real simulations, I would not bring it to your average game if most people around you are using hi caps. However its a great simulation rifle, cylinders can be swapped pretty quickly, the break down of the gun is the same (roughly) as the real steel. you can have the gun fire 300fps to 500 just by switching out the cylinder (which is reminiscent to swapping the bolt carrier on the real steel). the weapon will stop firing when the mag is empty and will require you to hit the bolt catch release when you have reloaded to resume fire. other than a couple of measurement (and fire mechanisms) it is a true copy of a real steel m4

Its not worth it. I could build an m4 from scratch that would be better than a PTW and for less. The guns brake down at about the same rate as a normal aeg but cost more than 5x the cost. A cylinder costs more than $100. So it costs that much to upgrade it. While with a CA you pop in a m120 for $15. Also the mags are a little more than $60 each. I'm sorry but they are a total waste, I could buy an VFC m60 for that price. Also I do believe the bolt catch is only on the older ones, the one Ive messed with doesn't have it.

I see you've never gamed with a PTW.

No, a normal AEG isn't anywhere near it in reliability.

PTW's are very good guns, and no you couldn't custom build something better.

Personally I like normal AEG's better because I really enjoy tuning them.

Actually I have on a few occasions. My team mate has a single edition Blind Fury 4 PTW.

With the right know how and some major tweaking to the gears and piston.

We have an CA25 that shoots 465fps using a 10.8v battery. The gun has gone through countless rounds and the only thing we replaced was a Bucking in the hopup.

Or, you could buy a real M4 for about $600-700...

Ha thats not an m4. M4 cost in the thousand range. Cheap Ar-15 and repros are in that range.

I was under the impression that Systema was targeting law-enforcement and military organizations for training purposes. Especially since they made promotional videos late 2006
