Alright Dagorhirum lets hear about your first time on the battle field, first practice, the first weapons you made. Lets hear your favorite Dag firsts.
My favorite first was the first time we had a large local practice, it was the first practice after winter last season and there were 32 people in one small backyard and it was awesome! The best part was nobody got hurt either. razz

The first battle I ever took part in was at Ragnarok XII. I had a single blue sword, no shield, and was wearing my first-ever T-tunic. Being thrown into Rag with no prior experience was overwhelming... and addicting. I stayed out for so long that day that I made myself sick with dehydration and sunburn, but at that point, I didn't care. smile

My first practice was me, my friend HammerHand, Ulfblud, Sma Lodar Bur, and i do belive a kid named will. I had made my first sword, a 20 pound masive club looking thing, and i killed everyone cept ulf....who proceeded to hand me my a**. ^.^ My first reneasuance fair was back in 04, a smalltown ren fair but it was fun. we were rained out unfortunatly. the next year we stayed and actualy fought a bit, showing of our legion. a small amount of 6 people but hey, we were growing. then our first event was a campout we call the barbarian bash. We camp up at a lake surrounded by a rocky and steep hills. We had 15 people and it was a blast ^.^

My first time was Father Christmas I, my friends had told us about Dag and wanted us to join. We went down to Buffalo and the night before had a build night were we sewed and built weapons and shields for the Disney Crew that had come down to tape Father Christmas I. The Next Day we set up fo the feast and battles and it was AWESOME!!!

My first battle was Badon Hill II. Those of you who were there may know me as the "Funky Friar" due to my table dancing exploits. I regret nothing!
The first weapon I made was a Red sword. I didn't use it ofetn at first, since it was a poor job, but I have since improved it significantly, rebuilding it twice. I also use a matched pair of maces, and occasionally a barn-door shield or even a spear.
Can't wait for Father Christmas!

It was a tartarus invictus practice a few weeks after rag 21...i was wearing one of commander polotono's poet shirts that was two sizes two big and i was using one of Frank's maces....it was a warm day...and suddenly i hear "STEP AWAY FROM MY!! DO NOT GO NEAR MY CAR...DO NOT TOUCH MY CAR...DO NOT EVEN FIRMLY LICK MY CAR."
me: "umm who is that?"
Polotono: "oh thats commander magnus"
me: "i dont know that i like him"
polotono: "oh you will"
me "dont think i could every be friends with someone that crazy..."

My first Dagorhir experiance was...when I was like, 8-10. I don't even remember my age, I just remember I was young. It was in Williamsville. I went a few times, and then moved to Tonawanda.
Since then, my first practice following that was a tuesday practice out in Hamburg where I pretty much got beat down, repeatadly.
My first battle was Badon Hill II. I was killed, a lot. Other than that, it was totally awesome. I went to bed early that night, and since I can't/don't drink, I didn't participate in the party...woo.

My first place was the same as Sorayne's, just not the same time, and I didnt really have that much fun until we played a kill your killer. Before that, Sorayne and I were just designing garb. Once I got to the kill your killer battle, I started to learn how to sneak up on people seeing as how I was way too new to try and face most of them head on.

My first time I was given a buckler sheild and a blue sword. I was ready to kick some butt, that is until I was hit with a well placed arrow. I wanted to redeam myself but I had to go somewhere else. I only had enough time to sign up.

First time fighting- August, a small group of 8 people in total.
First on-field injury- Second day fighting, someone with a buckler tried to charge my like if it was football as I blocked with my buckler and flip him over me. I fell on my back as he cracked his collar bone in his aukward landing.
First weapons made- 2 meat cleavers
First killing spree in a scenario on the first day- 4 vs 4 bridge battle, Made the florentine step off the bridge, slayed the lancer as they were distracted by the rest of my team, an arrow misses my head as it flew in my hair in my crouched sidestep and then took out both archers before making it across the bridge.
First Free For all Betrayal- "Lets all go get Akeron!" As we moved across the field, I just wacked the guy's back as he moved infront of me.

My first time [or series of visits] was at the Tartarus Invictus Saturday practice in Williamsville NY. I spoke with Alistair of Rome on the phone before moving into the area. He talked me into coming out, and honestly after a few times I almost left. The kids were a bit too young [I fell on one, he cried, and went home], the weapons seemed dork-tastic, etc, etc.
Long story short it was the quality of the people involved that kept me going, and the rest is history.

first practice was last year in june, I got stomped hard. I was duel wielding and yeah.... painful memories.
first event was EQ. that was fun....

My first practice was with the Outlanders....after two years of swearing I would join the Militia (o.o) and when I finally found the park, the Militia had left to go party. All the Outlanders did was run the rules by me and hand me two swords, and then push me out onto the field.
My first weapon was a pretty hefty, unevenly cut blue sword that Yakamo of Eryndor helped me make when he was very inexperienced at weapon-smithing, himself. XD
My first event...was Pentwyvern's Feast of the Winter Wolf, four years ago, followed the next day by Angaron's Invasion of Mirkwood.
My first injury was a mild concussion, brought on by a fighter on my own team, who threw his elbow into my face during a bridge battle and actually knocked me out. - -'
By the way, I would like someone to demonstrate to me how to "firmly lick" something. o_O
